I sprinted through the vast field of green grass, giggling happily. Noah wasn't far behind carrying a blanket and a picnic basket for our date. 

"Nicky, wait up!" Noah called, nearly tripping on a rock as he picked up speed.

I laughed and kept running. It wasn’t long before Noah closed the gap between us, tackling me to the ground playfully. 

"I've got you now baby boy!" He cooed, squeezing my thin waist.

I giggled loudly and attempted to wiggle out of my boyfriend’s grasp.

"Noahaha stahhp!"

Noah chuckled and kissed my nose, causing a rosy blush to spread to my cheeks.

"Cutie." 

"Simp." I replied teasingly.

Noah rolled his eyes and reached into the picnic basket. "This simp brought you your favorite sandwich."

My eyes lit up as I took the sandwich from Noah. "A BLT with cheese and…"

"Extra bacon? Yep, I'm an excellent boyfriend."

I catapulted myself into Noah's arms, nearly knocking him over. He laughed and adjusted me on his lap so my back was facing his chest.

"I love you, bubba." I said, turning around to kiss Noah's cheek.

"I love you too, Nicky."

I sat there silently for a moment, enjoying the feeling of being enveloped in Noah's warm embrace.

"The sky is pretty." He whispered, a childlike gleam in his hazel eyes.

"It is." I agreed, moving to run my hand through Noah's chestnut curls. "Not as pretty as you though."

Noah blushed and smiled softly. "I think you’re the simp, silly goose."

"Maybe I am." I replied, a small smirk playing on my lips.

I slid my hands under Noah's shirt to caress his sides, causing soft giggles to bubble from his chest. 

"We should have picnics more often." Noah said, a bright smile lighting up his face.

"Yes." I agreed, "We definitely should."
