Little Johnny's stable now and Connor's starting to heal. Right now I'm coming up from the cafeteria. James is sitting with Con. He made Brad go get the kids from school so he could get out of the hospital for a bit. Reaching Connor's door I hear voices inside talking.

"So? How'd the date go?" I hear Connor ask. After a pause James answers.

"It was amazing. He took me to a very fancy restaurant and then dancing." He says with a sigh.

"How does someone in a wheelchair dance?" Connor asks. James explains. "Your leaving something out. What is it?" Connor asks.

"We kissed." James says.

"You what?" Connor asks shocked. "So you finally admit your still in love with him."

"I never said I stopped. I've always loved him." I hear James tell him, shocking me. I thought he hated me for a while there.

"Why'd you act like you didn't then?" Connor questions like he's reading my mind.

"I was afraid." James admits. "I didn't want to let him in and then lose him again. I also didn't want TJ to get hurt by any of this."

"So what are you going to do now?" Connor asks him.

"There's not much I can do. I can't push him back out so I just have to hope he doesn't leave me again. I don't know what I'd do if he did. I love him so much." James replies.

"There's nothing anyone could do to make me leave now." I say pushing open the door and rolling in.

"How much of our conversation did you hear?" James asks scowling at me.

"Enough." I tell him.

"You know it's rude to listen in to somebody else's conversation." Connor tells me.

"I know." I tell smiling. James reaches over and smacks me. "But just for the record I never stopped loving you either." I tell him, grabbing his hand and kissing it. I see a blush creeping up his cheeks.

"We're back." Brad says from the doorway. Sam runs over to Connor grabbing his hand. TJ stops just in front of James's chair, close enough to Sam if she needs him but far enough away to give he space. Will's in Brad's arms.

"Where's Ryan?" I ask.

"He had to go home with his mummy today." TJ informs me. "She's not nice. She calls him Rose and a girl. She also makes him wear dresses and pretty things. He don't like that like I do."

"I heard." I tell him nodding.

"Oh Papa look at what Madi gave me. She said it would look pretty on me." He holds up a little pink and green flower crown.

"It's adorable." I say. "That was nice of her." He nods at my words.

"Daddy?" Sam ask softly. "When are you coming home?"

"I don't know sweetie." He tells her. "Hopefully soon. Very soon."

"What about Johnny? Does he get to come home too?" She asks

"When the doctors say he's strong enough he can come home." Connor explains to her.

"Oh okay." She says slowly. I watch her lean up and whisper in her dad's ear. "One day he's going to be stronger than all of us."

"That he is, Sam. That he is." Connor says smiling at his daughter.

I can't believe this is almost over already. The last book took me over a year to write and this on took like three months. I still have a few more chapters though so don't panic yet.

I got a baby bearded dragon he's so cute. Well I don't know is its male or female but I'd rather say he than it. So tiny too. I named him Cadmium or Cad for short. My mum's taken to calling him Caddy.
