Chapter 41 Part 2

Daniel's P.O.V

It was a freezing day but the tribe was feeling uneasy, nervous and excited at the same time. It was the day that we've been waiting for, to see Angelo after a very long year and hopefully to wake both him and Jared.

As discussed from last night, Maria took care of the 7 armed men guarding the first floor by pretending that they were called by Nicholas to attend an important things on the hospital parking lot. It was Sebastian's job to take care of them at the parking lot. We have strict rules that there will be no killing, I was just hoping that Sebastian could control his blood lust.

It wasn't that long when Sebastian walk out from the parking lot and gave us the signal that everything was all clear. The three aunties, Alex, Dianne, and Veronica sneak in to the hospital door and straight to the nurse's station while I on the other hand was carrying Jared on my back. We were surprised that the room was empty when Sebastian told us that the nurses were in some sort of a meeting. It gave us the perfect chance to do the plan accordingly.

As planned, Veronica, Alex and Dianne dressed up as nurses while the three aunties dressed up as nuns. Meanwhile, I too dressed up as nurse with Jared sitting on a wheelchair.

Everyone took a deep breath before taking their own role in the plan execution. "This is it guys. It's now or never. If we don't succeed on this, Angelo will be gone from us forever. And there is this possibility that Jared might not recover too." I said, glancing towards my son's emotionless body.

"For Angelo and Jared." Everyone said, It almost sounded like a battle cry.

We took the lift towards the 5th floor where Angelo's room was. As expected, we were greeted by 3 armed guards posted on the lift's door. Their rifles were drawn and their faces were a scowl.

I must say that everyone was unrecognizable, except for Sebastian who was wearing his usual attire. Alex and I have my face masked on while Dianne and Veronica were covering their faces with a tray of burgers. The three aunties doesn't have to hide their faces as no one, except us, know that they were there to help us infiltrate the hospital.

The three nun (aunties) step out of the lift first. Their hands were inside their clothes like how real nuns do when they walk.

"Oh holy mother of guns. We are a servant of God. You don't need to point us that." Aunt Carol stated, feigning surprised.

"We don't care." The blonde muscular guy snapped. "This is out limit. You don't have access to this building."

"Why so rude dear? Are you in trouble? I can pray for you." Said aunt Lisa, her voice was sarcastic and taunting.

"Get out of here! I'll shoot you if don't back away!" the blonde guy threatened as he pointed the rifle on Aunt Lisa's head.

Everyone tensed inside the elevator. I gripped tightly on Jared's wheelchair as Dianne held Alex's hand. I was about to stepped out of the elevator and abort the plan when Sebastian halted me. "No. They know what they're doing. Just watch." He whispered.

I gave him a questioning look and turned my head towards the three aunties in front of us.

"You just made your mistake, young man." Aunt Anna said as she released her hidden weapon under her clothes- a cooking pot.

In just one strong blow in the head, the blonde guy fell onto the floor unconscious. Every one inside the lift gasped in surprised, and so was the other two armed guys who just watched their mate fell unconscious on the floor.

Their surprised didn't take too long as both of them we're knocked unconscious as well by Aunt Carol and Aunt Lisa. The two used a wooden dough roller and a frying pan. "No one messes up with the three musketeers!"  Aunt Lisa cheered as she gave her two siblings a high-five.

"Go. We'll take care of these guys." Aunt Carol ordered as they pulled the unconscious blonde guy on his feet towards the empty hall.

"How did they do that?" I asked Sebastian, amazement was painted all over my face just like the others.

"They are serving a member of Grande family, a very important one for that matter. Did you think that I will recruit people who are not capable of fulfilling their duties?" Sebastian answered like it was nothing at all. "Let's go now." He stirred us towards the next hallway. "There will be 5 guards posted in here. My master's room is in the far end of this building. I'm expecting that there will be other two more men guarding Angelo's door." He explained as we made our way towards the next hall.

We stopped as soon as Sebastian said so. "Miss Veronica, Miss Dianne, Sir Alex, this is your turn. Those burgers are loaded with a high dose of pentobarbital, the one they use to put you in sleep before the surgery. One bite of it can knock a man for 24 hours of sleep."

"They won't die from this, would they?" Dianne asked concern.

"No they would not." Sebastian reassured.

The three of them started walking towards the men. Veronica was leading Dianne and Alex with a flirtatious walk. Her hips were swaying, though her back was on me, I could feel that she was grinning sexily towards the men.

"Hello boys." Veronica greeted as soon as she was stopped by two armed men; one was bulky man with a tiger tattooed on his right arm and the other was tall and bulky with piercing on lips and eyebrow. They looked like a typical goons from an action movie.

"Hey sexy, you can't be here." Said the tattooed guy.

"Marcus asked us to bring you guys a snack." She said. Marcus was the leader of the guards who was initially knocked down by Sebastian. "I bet you guys are hungry. The other two on the elevator enjoyed this burger." She offered, handling out the burger to the reluctant men.

The two guys hesitated for a minute but they decided to take it,  followed by the other two. "Who are those guys with you?" the innocent guy asked.

Veronica giggled. "Oh, they are my trainee. This is their first shift here in this hospital. I'm giving them a tour." She lied.

However, one guy was suspicious about Dianne and Alex. He walked towards four guards who by then enjoying a bite of the burger.

The suspicious guy, bulk and has a soldier haircut, glared towards the burger on Veronica's tray and grabbed one cruelly. He inspected the burger by looking at it closely and by smelling it. He then paused as his eyes almost bulged out of its socket. "Idiots!" he alerted. "This burger is drugged! Oofffff!" was the last thing he said as he went flying to the floor unconscious.

Alex and Dianne looked at Veronica in shocked, their mouth were probably gaped open. "What? I learned some karate back in my senior year." She explained.

The other four guards were also lying on the floor unconscious, pieces of burgers were stuffing out of their mouths.

"C-Clear!" Alex called, signaling that we can go safely now.

"I'll take care of the last two guards. Stay here and do not come out until I said so." Sebastian stopped us on track. We left Alex, Dianne and Veronica behind so that they can keep the bodies out of sight.

"What's the problem?" I asked, worried. My hands were sweating while gripping Jared's wheelchair.

"The guys guarding the door are trained assassins. They will kill you and your son in sight. It will be safe here until I get rid of them." He said and silently walked away without waiting for my reply.

Five minutes have passed, Sebastian came back. Half of his necktie was missing and there were cuts and slices on his face. Other than that, he was fine. "It's all good now, sir. You can see my Master. Master Maria is waiting for you inside." He confirmed.

I sighed in relief as a warm feeling of excitement washed over my entire body. I can finally see my soulmate, my life, my love. A tear started to form in my eyes and I did not bother to wipe it out. "How about Nicholas?" I asked.

"Master Maria will take care of him. Shall we go?" he answered, mentioning me towards the hallway leading to Angelo's room.

Before taking any further, I leaned down and faced Jared. "Little buddy, listen to Daddy. We're going to see Papa now. He  is alright, you'll see. Nothing to worry about." I whispered and kissed his forehead.

I followed Sebastian to the room, Jared was in the wheelchair that I'm pushing. Sebastian grabbed the doorknob gently, but before twisting the knob to open the door, he gave me a satisfied look. "We've done our job sir, it's all in you to wake up my master." He said as he opened the door revealing a sleeping Angelo.

As soon as the door opened, the scent of thousands and thousands of roses ambushed my nostrils. It was the scent that I have been missing out for two years. It was Angelo's scent.

Inside the room were full of roses, the light was bright and the only sound that I could hear was the machine telling that Angelo is still breathing. I listened to the machine carefully and no doubt, Angelo was breathing perfectly.

Maria smiled at me. "Nicholas is in the bathroom. But don't worry, I can take care of him." She motioned me towards Angelo.

Angelo, there he was, laying down the bed, peacefully sleeping. His hair was groomed and he was cleaned shaved. He was perfect just like always.

I pushed Jared's wheelchair beside Angelo's bed. I looked closely at Angelo's face and whole body. All the wounds and bruises were healed perfectly and no trace or marks can be seen at all. His skin was flawless and full of life. He was beautiful.

I touched his face carefully, afraid that any moment, he might shatter to pieces like a very precious masterpiece of the world. His skin was warm and I couldn't stop myself from leaning my lips towards his forehead as I give him a kiss. "God, I miss you so much." I cried. Tears were streaming down my face.

"What are you doing here!" someone yelled out of nowhere. Nicholas was throwing us dead looks and his face was full of rage.

"You did this to Angelo!" I yelled back. The once silent room turned into a chaotic battle of screaming. "I know that you had a connection with Dianne. This is your fault you soul less of a father!" I retorted, making sure that I sounded dangerous as I thought in my head.

He was taken aback for a moment but he would not surrender. "How dare you! Get away from my son!"

"Stop it Nick! That is enough! You've hurt a lot of people who are important to your son! You've hurt your son!" It was Maria who threw the blaming words to Nicholas.

Nicholas eyes turned black but not as black as Angelo. It was meant to intimidate me but it had no effect at all. When he noticed that it was not working, he quickly scurried to the table and held something like an alarm.

"Sebastian!" called Maria.

As Nicholas was about to pressed the button, Sebastian threw something towards him resulting to him dropping the remote.

"You could call your guards here but it'll take them forever to get in here. And if I were you, I wouldn't do it. I still have an order from your son to finish everyone that is involved in the incident. Technically, you are involve and that makes my mission incomplete. I can kill you in a second." Sebastian warned.

Behind all the commotion that was happening inside the room, Maria suddenly gasped in surprised. "Oh my god." She whispered.

I cocked my head towards the direction she was looking. And there I saw Jared sitting next to a sleeping Angelo. He was looking at him silently. The doctor was correct after all. Jared needed to see Angelo so he could know that Angelo is alright.

"J-Jared?" I called.

To my surprised, he responded and looked at me. "Daddy. Is Papa okay? Why is he not waking up?"

I ran towards my son and picked him up as I embraced him softly. "Thank God. You're back." I whispered, tears of happiness streaming down from my eyes. "I missed you."

I looked at Maria who was by then wiping her tears away. Nicholas was looking towards us with an unknown expression. "What happen to the kid?" he asked.

"He was traumatized for two years! For two whole years, he was nothing but a boy without any emotion. It all happened because of you!" I said, keeping my voice calm as I can for Jared's sake.

Nicholas seated on the chair, pulling his hair from his head. "What have I done? I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry." He cried.

"What is done is done. We'll let Angelo deal with you. He was suffering all the consequences of your maleficent action." I said, gazing over Maria.

Maria gave me a nod.

I then seated Jared on Angelo's right side and then made my way to the other side. "Jared, listen to me. Tell Papa to wake up. Tell him to come back to us. Tell him that you are okay. Tell him that we are waiting for him." I asked Jared.

Jared gave me a confused look. He looked at Angelo as he leaned closer and whispered the words I asked him to say repeatedly.

I on the other hand did the same. And when it seemed like forever, I told Jared that it was enough.

"Papa should have heard us. I believe he will wake up soon." I told Jared. The kid was looking at his Papa with a frown on his face. "Don't be sad, he will be okay. We will come back again. Give Papa a kiss now." I said.

Just as when Jared kissed Angelo on the cheek, I remembered something that Angelo and I did when Jared was traumatized for the first time. I leaned towards Angelo and kissed him on the other cheek.

Angelo's chest suddenly raised up as he made a very deep breath.

Slowly, his eyes opened and blinked thrice.

"I heard you." He whispered.
