Chapter 8
Daniel's P.O.V
Alex and I stayed in the hallway where we were hiding as we watched His 'WHORSHIP' recover from his mysterious traumatic moment. After a couple of minutes, we decided to go back to class and finish the entire period.
Professor Landon didn't even waste his time to comment from our sudden act just after the debate. He doesn't usually jump into other's businesses, to which everyone appreciates it a lot. Unlike the other instructor who seems like they want to become a character in everybody's life.
When we came back to the class, we found Prof. Landon talking to someone on his phone.
"Yes. I understand. It's not a problem." He told the person on the phone. His right hand rubbing his chin while looking outside the window.
"I'll see him on Wednesday then. Yes. Okay. Bye." He ended his call and put his phone on his left pocket before focusing his attention back to the class.
We seated there for another 10 minutes sorting out our notes for the upcoming assessment. There were another 10 more minutes left but Prof. Landon who seemed antsy to go home as well had decided to dismiss the class.
I literally dragged Alex to the car park and tried to open the door, which was obviously locked. Since my car was still on the repair shop, Alex had no other choice but to be my lift until I got my car back. He had no problem about it at all as we live only two blocks away from each other. It's really convenient to have Alex go in the same degree and the same University with me.
"Hey, I wanna get a snack first. The whole debate thing made me starve." Alex complained. He was juggling his keys on his hand to find the car key. Alex has only one key ring for all of his keys. There was his front door key, the screen door key, his garage key, his car key, his room key, and the back door key. There was one more key missing though, which is the key to heaven. He can freaking apply to the position of heaven's guard when Saint Peter considered retirement.
"You are always hungry." I deadpanned. "And didn't I tell you to get a separate key ring for your massive collection of keys." I smirked.
"Hey, I am offended. First, this is not a collection." He retorted holding his finger counting one. "Second, this is much easier than finding keys around the house. At least this is a lot easier than having to turn your house upside down to find a freaking key." He shrugged.
I almost forgot that Alex was not good in finding things at all. It would be a disaster if you'd ask him to find something. The missing something will end up vanishing from the face of the Earth if Alex does the job.
"Okay, fine." I sighed. "Let's get some snack first then we can go home. I'm excited to see Jared." I smiled.
"Oh that reminds me, Jared asked me to buy him a chocolate." he said. He pressed his remote to unlock the car and opened the door to driver seat.
I opened the door on my side and seated at the shotgun. "What did I tell you? Stop spoiling the kid. And I'm trying to minimise his chocolate and other sweets as much as possible. That kid wouldn't have any single tooth left when he turned 5." I told him.
Alex started the engine and drove from the car park. "But he is just so adorable and sweet. I can't resist his cuteness." He dramatically sighed while focusing on the road.
"Buy him another thing as long as it is not sweet." I ordered.
"Bummer." He muttered.
"I'm a cool dad." I punched his left arm hard enough for him to wince in surprise.
"Hey! I'm driving! Idiot" he screamed.
We drove for almost 7 minutes to find a mini stop. Alex parked the car then marched out to the shop to grab some snack.
I followed him inside to grab my own food. I went to get a piece of croissant and a diet coke. Alex grabbed some chips, a Pepsi, a Slurpee, and 3 pieces of Crispy-crème doughnut. He sure looks starved.
"You already got a Pepsi, are you sure you can still chug down that Slurpee?" I asked looking concern for my best friend's pathetic health.
"This is not for me silly! It's for my sweet god-child." He deadpanned.
"I said no sweets." I said giving him a dead glare.
"Well, I'm a cool god father and an awesome best friend. Sue me!" he skipped away to the counter.
"That would be $15.25, thank you." The lady cashier said. She had a curly long blonde hair tied up in a ponytail.
Alex gave her a $20 bill. She pressed a button to open up the cash box.
"Hi hottie, would that be all for today?" she turned her attention to me. Batting her obvious fake long eyelashes as she licked her lips seductively.
"Yes, please." I replied in a bored tone. Women nowadays are easy. Only few have still some delicacy remaining in their body.
I've never been into a serious relationship ever since Jared came in to my life. Yes, I was always having fun with different woman, being the hot guy I am. But I'm always searching for the right one. Someone who can give me a real challenge. Someone who is not easy to get.
The lady cashier punched the prices for my purchase in the cash register. "That would be $7.50 hottie." She flirted.
I gave her my debit card. "Savings please." I asked. She took the card, put it in the eftpos machine and asked me to enter my pin.
After getting back my card and the receipt, I turned my back to her and started to walked out from her bitchy shop. "Come back again honey!" her voice trailing off on my back.
Alex and I ate inside his car for about three minutes before resuming to our journey back home. The drive back home took us about twenty more minutes. Alex was enjoying his favourite AC/DC hit blasting on the radio. I on the other hand, won't stop complaining about the melting Slurpee on my right hand. The freaking best friend of mine just asked me to hold the damn Slurpee all the way home. I even considered it throwing it out of the window, but I didn't do it knowing that Alex made an effort for Jared.
"Here we go. Tell Jared his awesome god father said "Hi". And give that Slurpee to him." He said when we stopped in front of our house.
"And who would might be that awesome god father is?" I teased.
"Oh wait. Let me think. Of course, ALEX! Idiot." He tried to punch me but I was quick to react and jumped out of the car.
"Don't forget to tell Jared about your angel!" he screamed while driving away from the house.
A smile crawled in to my face as I was getting excited to tell my little Jared about the angel I found.
I marched towards the front door and was about to knocked when the door blasted open with Jared jumping on my arms. I almost dropped his Slurpee.
"Daddy! I miss you!" he was grinning from ear to ear. He hugged me and gave me soft kissed on both cheeks. Jared is the sweetest boy I would love forever.
"I miss you too buddy. So how was your day" I carried him inside the house and closed the door. I seated on the sofa with Jared on my lap. "Here, Uncle Alex bought this for you." I gave him the Slurpee that Alex bought for him.
Jared climbed down from me and put down the Slurpee on the table. He then started telling me about his day animatedly. "Nana and I went to the shopping centre. And I saw a dinosaur..." his held his hand in the air to make claws from it then bared his teeth as those were fangs. "Then I couldn't find Nana. And then I got lost. And I cried." He said without a pause.
"And then I..." I cut him off when I realize what he just said.
"You got lost? How? What happened?" I was starting to freak out when my mum marched in to the room from the kitchen.
"Nana!" Jared flashed his cheeky smile to his grandma who wave back in return.
I turned to my mum's direction. "Mum, what happened? Why did Jared get lost?" I asked my mum while little Jared was seated back on my lap and playing with my hands.
"Well, we went to shopping centre earlier to buy some grocery supplies. I was choosing some veggies for salad when Jared saw a dinosaur mascot. I didn't notice that he followed it out the store. When I turned to ask him a question, I found out that he was gone. I freaked out then called the securities walking around the shop. They helped me find Jared until somebody saw him." My mum explained.
"Yes daddy! My guardian angel found me!" Jared announced excitedly.
"Jared, what did I tell you buddy? Never barge in to adults' discussion. Yeah?" I calmly said to Jared.
"Sorry daddy" he apologised.
"Honey..." My mum trailed off. Both Jared and I looked on her direction. "It's better if Jared will tell you the rest. He has been excited to tell you something." Jared's face eagerly lighted up.
"So daddy, I was crying when my guardian angel found me." He started. He was facing me while sitting on my lap.
"I cried and cried because I can't find Nana. And then I prayed to my guardian angel to help me find Nana." His put his palm together just like what praying should be. "And then, my angel came and asked me if I was alright. I told my angel that I was lost. He called a scary police guy and asked him to help us. The scary police guy talked to someone on his big phone. Then he said that Nana was waiting for me. My angel took me back to Nana." He finished happily and took his Slurpee from the table to take a sip.
I was about to ask my mum about Jared's story but she walked back towards the kitchen.
I faced back my little Jared, who was enjoying his Slurpee.
"Come here buddy." I held out my hands to hold his little body and seated him back on my lap.
"Guess what daddy found today." I asked him.
"Hmmm..." he hummed, putting his little finger on his cheek to "think". "You found a dinosaur?" he asked excitedly.
I burst out laughing from what he said. He gave me a confused look then continued sipping his Slurpee.
"No buddy. More better than dinosaur." I said between laughs.
"Promise me first not to tell Nana yet. Okay?" I asked him after calming down from laughter.
"A secret?" his big blue eyes glowing with excitement.
"Yes. A secret for both of us only." I confirmed. He nodded eagerly and silently waited for my revelation.
"I found an angel too." I whispered to his ear. He grinned from ear to ear and hug me tightly.
"Yay daddy! We both found our angel!" he said happily.
"Yes buddy. We did." I hugged his little body back, kissing his cheeks.

Angelo's P.O.V
My eyes were pure black. As far as I remember, I have hazel brown eyes with complete pupil and iris. But when Daniel told me my eyes were pure black, I freaked out. Don't blame me 'cause I myself got scared when I saw black orbs of mine starring back at me from my phone's front camera.
I should have gone out from the university if it wasn't for the stupid jerk guy who stopped me. He gripped my arms tightly and forced me to talk to him. I felt a bit of anger but I tried to remain calm. Freaking out more than I was would just get me into trouble. I tried to ask him to let me go but he was persistent in assaulting me.
When the stupid jerk took off my sunglasses covering my black eyes, he sure did pale down. As if his blood was drained out of his face. That gave me the chance to get away from his grasp and run away from the building.
There was only one person I know who can help me to get an answer to my million questions on my head. I fished out my mobile phone from my bag and pressed the number 2 speed dial.
After one ring, the big manly voice on the other line answered. "Master." He said.
"Sebastian, book me a flight back to Sydney. I know you've been watching me all this time. Now, I order you to take me back to Sydney." I told him.
"Certainly, sir. We are leaving tonight." He answered.
A/N: ohhh.. What could be Angelo's secret? Who is Sebastian and why did he call Angelo as 'master'? Let's find out on the next chapter.
