It's official: Chasing Liam is complete.

I am sad but at the same time happy to finally have this story wrapped up. Now I can continue working on my next ones. I will let you know when I get closer to uploading them, and until then I will be taking a break from Wattpad while I finish writing them. I thank you all for your patience as I've been writing Chasing Liam and I hope you all stick with me as I work on my next ones.

I love you all and thank you again!

Now Chasing Liam was formed off of a one-shot that I wrote years ago and was originally called Freshman Year. Up above is the cover for the one-shot. I had it buried in one of my old files and thought it would be a nice throw-back ;) You can tell that the actors have changed since then too lol.

Epilogue

Liam Parker walked through the door of his two-story, suburban home with a pleased smile on his face. His life couldn't be better in his opinion. Now at the age of thirty-two Liam has been married to his high school sweetheart, Chase West, for nine years. Shortly after their high school graduation, Liam and Chase moved to the Oakland area in California so they could attend Berkeley University together.

For two years they lived separately in the dorms. During their final two years of school though they worked together and got their first apartment. Living together presented an entirely new set of challenges for the couple, but they took them in stride. Chase loved Liam and Liam loved Chase. Neither wanted that to end, and it didn't. On the night of their graduation from college, they moved onto the next phase of their life. Chase took Liam to the nearest park that night and proposed, and Liam said yes. They remained engaged for about a year before they finally tied the knot which gave them plenty of time to move back to Oregon. They live in Salem, Oregon which was a good compromise with the grandparents. They're close enough to visit regularly but they don't have to live in their former small town either.

Looking around the living room Liam couldn't help but shake his head at the mess that was on the floor. Chase and Liam have two kids now and they're not exactly neat. However, they are only kids.

Almost immediately after tying the knot the two began discussing adoption. They found and joined an adoption agency that worked well with them. Chase and Liam did have to wait a little bit before a child was placed into their care, but none of that mattered. They were just happy to finally start a family. The birth mother, Jane, was in her early fifties and unmarried. She didn't want to spend her golden years taking her child to preschool and soccer games, so she did the best thing she could and decided to find a loving family for her baby. Both Chase and Liam were more then happy to oblige. Nine months later Jane went into labor and gave birth to a boy. Chase and Liam chose the name Axel for their son.

Two years later they were contacted by the adoption agency due to an emergency case. They had a mother who was in desperate need of parents to take her baby. The baby had already been born but wasn't named. The mother wouldn't give the agency any of her information all they knew was that she absolutely did not want her new baby girl. Chase and Liam jumped at the chance to have another child. They named their little girl, Trinity.

"Chase!" Liam called out. Today had been Chase's day off so he had stayed home with the kids instead of taking them to day care.

"In the kitchen!" Chase replied.

Walking into the kitchen Liam smiled at the sight. His husband was taking out a cookie sheet full of gooey, hot chocolate chip cookies while their seven-year-old and five-year-old were waiting eagerly for a cookie. Chase set the hot sheet on the stove and reminded the kids to wait for the cookies to cool then walked over to his husband. The two kissed while their children gagged and covered their eyes with their hands.

"How was work?" Chase asked stepping away to grab the milk from the refrigerator.

The majority of Liam's college experience was spent taking classes to fill his time since he had absolutely no idea what he wanted to do. One day everything changed. Liam had been stressing about picking a major and Chase, as cool and collected as always, suggested that he do what he loved most. The answer was so obvious Liam was amazed he hadn't thought of it before. So, the next morning he called his advisor and they set up a meeting to discuss Liam becoming an English Lit major. Liam is now a high school English teacher.

"It was good," Liam replied smiling at his husband. He loved his job. It's was almost difficult to explain, but there was something about helping students develop a love for reading. Sure, the teenagers sometimes had attitudes and didn't always understand the material they were reading, but Liam loved every single student that entered his classroom and he was even one of the favorites among the staff. "I didn't have to give anyone detention today."

Chase laughed. "That's always good."

Chase has also reached his dreams in the career department as well. Chase graduated Berkeley University with a double major in law enforcement and psychology. He worked as a street cop for about five years and now he has been a detective for the past four years. There have definitely been times when being married to a cop have been hard, but Liam loves Chase more than anything and if police work is something that Chase wants to do then Liam will fully support him on that.

Liam almost couldn't believe how scared he had been in high school. If only his past self knew what he did now. Maybe he would have gotten together with Chase sooner. Either way, only good came from his relationship with Chase, and he couldn't believe that he ever thought differently.

Liam then walked over to his kids who were sitting on the kitchen table and gave them a kiss.

"Daddy!" Trinity flew into Liam's arms and he happily sat her on his hip.

Personality wise Axel seemed to match Liam while Trinity was similar to Chase. The two dads loved their children the same though and hoped that their children would never forget that.

Trinity Elizabeth West (Liz was ecstatic to get middle name status). She is a beautiful girl with a beautiful name. Trinity is only five-years-old, but Liam and Chase are already worried about what her teen years are going to be like when she discovers boys. Trinity has pale skin with curly red hair and bright chocolate brown eyes. Trinity is in kindergarten and seems to be the outgoing, social butterfly of the family.

Axel Adam West (Adam was also ecstatic about receiving middle name status). Axel is seven-year-old and is in the Second Grade. Axel has black hair and dark brown, almost black, eyes. Chase and Liam are a little worried about Axel friend-wise because he's not as outgoing as his sister. He has a few friends, but ultimately would rather sit in his room and read or watch TV. Axel is the more introverted of the two.

Liam set Trinity back on the table and went to the stove taking the cookies off of the tray and putting them on a plate before setting two on the table for their children.

"Your dad called," Chase told him while he was pouring the kid's milk.

"He did? What'd he say?" Liam and his dad worked hard to keep their relationship with each other on good standing. They may not talk weekly anymore, but they do still try to meet up and visit regularly. Ten years ago, his dad even remarried. Liam had been hesitant at first, but once he had gotten to know his bride, was more then happy to support them. Her name is Lydia and the two are actually planning on buying an RV so they can live out their golden years traveling around the country once they retire.

His mother has also moved on. Patrick, the man that Chase's dad set her up with, proposed a few months after he moved out. They didn't want to plan a large wedding though so a few weeks later the two made an early morning trip to city hall and tied the knot. Liam was a little sad about not being able to see his mother's wedding, but was happy for her either way.

"He said that he and Lydia are taking a much-needed vacation and have decided to go to London for a week to visit your sister and Peter," Chase informed him.

"That's good. The kids miss their grandfather," Liam said thinking of his niece and nephews.

On the day of his high school graduation, Liam received the greatest gift he could have asked for. His parents worked together to pay for Leslie and Peter's trip to Oregon. Shortly after tossing the graduation caps into the air, Liam began searching the crowd for his parents only to experience the shock of a lifetime when he spotted his sister and her boyfriend in the crowd. Liam was ecstatic to say the least. He would deny this if asked but he had missed his sister. Leslie and Peter ended up staying for a week before they finally had to return to London. It was sad to see them go, but it was also for the best. Their life is in London just as Liam's was in Oregon, and soon enough California.

As it turned out he didn't have to wait too long before seeing them again. That Christmas Liam and Chase – who had decided to spend their first Christmas together in their apartment – received a skype call from his squealing sister. Peter asked her to marry him on the anniversary of them becoming more then friends. After saying yes, Leslie immediately began calling each of her family members to inform them of the news. Together, with the assistance of both their mothers, Leslie and Peter were able to plan the wedding fairly quickly and that summer everyone was flying over to partake in the joyous event.

The happy couple only waited a few years before they began starting a family. Henry was the first one out of the gate. With his raven black hair and bright blue eyes, he was a spitting image of Peter. According to Leslie, he's also very smart for his age. Currently at the age of ten, he's reading and learning at a middle school level. They have him attending Harrow School which is an all-boys boarding school that is located less then thirty minutes from their house.

The next pregnancy took both Leslie and Peter by surprise. Not only because it was unexpected, but because it was twins. James and Victoria were then welcomed into the world (apparently Peter insisted upon naming the kids after former monarchs). Now even though the two are twins, Victoria and James look nothing alike. Victoria has Leslie's brown hair and Peter's blue eyes while James has Peter's black hair and Leslie's light brown eyes. It's quite funny actually because they're also opposites when it comes to their personalities. While Victoria is the outspoken and mischievous one, James is the quiet and creative one. Luckily, they're both the same age as Axel so at least the kids were all able to play together whenever they had family trips together.

They're actually quite overdue for a family trip of their own. Both Liam and Chase are hoping to take another trip to England some time in the following summer. Even if they can't visit Leslie and her family all that often it is nice to be able to see Liz and hers frequently. After graduation, to no one's surprise, Liz moved to Portland and got an apartment with her sister and niece. Once Liz finished college she became a secretary at a prestigious law firm. She hasn't married, but in a way, she doesn't have to. Liz is the fun, single, and successful, aunt type who travels a lot, and she pulls it off incredibly well. Even if she doesn't have kids of her own she is an amazing aunt to Zoey, and both Axel and Trinity.

Speaking of Zoey, things seemed to go well for Brody as well. Since he and Brody reconciled their friendship years ago a lot has changed. The following morning after Brody left he appeared at Anne and Liz's aunt and uncle's house looking worse then ever. Anne was certainly suspicious to say the least, but he remained persistent. Every day for two months Anne would return home after school to find Brody on her doorstep. Whether he spent two minutes or two hours with Zoey he never complained. He would simply show up the next day and do it all over again.

Eventually Anne began to tell that he was serious. So, as a result, the two sat down and had a long talk about what it would mean, not only the two of them as parents, but for Zoey as well. No matter what good or bad days he faced though, Brody never seemed to regret moving to Portland. Zoey, who is now eighteen years old, has faced some of her own troubles and drama as a teenager, but having both of her parents there to guide her has certainly helped. In the summer Zoey will be graduating from her high school before moving to New Orleans to attend Tulane University.

Unfortunately, while things may have worked out for Brody as a father, he wasn't able to work things out in his relationships. Before he left for Portland he did indeed go and visit Adam. Only it didn't quite work out as he would have liked. Adam listened to what Brody had to say but ultimately decided that he couldn't forgive him at that time. As much as Brody wished things could have worked out he simply had to accept it, especially considering Adam's decision.

After graduation Adam decided to forgo college. He instead joined the army. Due to his time in the military, they don't get to see him that often. It's hard, especially since he's been a really good friend to them throughout the years, but he is also Axel and Trinity's godfather so he does try to visit whenever he's on leave.

"Come on, Trinity," Liam said as he picked up his daughter, "you too Axel. Let's go play outside for a little while."

Liam gave Chase a quick peck on the lips. "I'll join you all as soon as the next batch of cookies are out of the oven," Chase promised. Liam smiled once more at his husband before following his son outside to play in the backyard.

Chase and Liam spent the rest of the day watching and spending time with their children. They were good at taking time out of their day to spend time with their children and they praised themselves on that. Some parents would claim that spending too much time with their children suffocated them. Chase and Liam, however, felt that it was better to have a nice family dynamic in the house then to not have one at all.

After dinner, they put on Homeward Bound for the kids only to have them fall asleep in their parents' arms not even halfway through. They picked the kids up and took them to their rooms. They put them down and kissed them each good night before closing their doors and going back downstairs. Even though it was only nine o'clock, Liam and Chase turned off the TV in the living room then retreated to their master suite upstairs.

Later that night, Liam had his head resting on Chase's chest and Chase was running his fingers through Liam's hair. They spent a lot of nights like this, just breathing, just taking in each other's scents. Almost as if nothing else in the world existed but them. When lying in each other arms, more in love then the day before, the two felt like they were teenagers again.

"I love you, Chase," Liam whispered. "I love you so much."

Smiling down at him, Chase whispered back, "I love you too. I always will."

Thank you again so much to everyone that has stuck by me throughout the years. I joined Wattpad in 2012 when I was fifteen and in high school. Now I'm twenty-one and graduated with an associate's degree and will be continuing toward a bachelor's in the fall. Oh, how time flies.

I will try and finish Chasing After You and My Unexpected Love as quickly as I can so you guys can begin reading them.

Until then. . . .
