Zander and I closed on our house on my birthday. Once the realtor left we were just standing in the condo looking at it. Zander then hugged me. "Happy birthday." He said kissing my cheek.

"Thanks." I said smiling.

"Let's have Landon and Asher over to celebrate. We can skype Lexie too." He said smiling.

"Okay, but we don't have any furniture." I laughed.

"Well, they can deal with it." Zander said letting go of me. "We can get furniture soon." He said shrugging. "We need to go get our stuff from Landon's though."

I nodded and smiled. "Yeah let's go." I said. We drove my range rover over to Landon's and packed everything into the back of it and then drove back. We started unloading the car when a neighbor approached us. She was a heavy black woman.

"You guys must be the new neighbors!" She said as she walked over to us smiling.

Zander nodded and smiled. "Yup, it's a pleasure to meet you." He said. "I'm Zander and this is Alex." He said gesturing to me.

"It's nice to meet you two! I'm Echo, the sassy black lady of the neighborhood." She said laughing. "So are you two roommates?" She asked us.

"Nope Alex is my boyfriend." Zander said putting his arm around my shoulder and pulling me close to him, a proud smile on his face.

Echo then looked at me. "Mmhmm, you got a nice catch honey." She said winking at me. "It's nice to meet you two, if that old man to the right of you gives you trouble then just call me okay?"

"Okay, will do." Said Zander smiling. Echo then nodded and walked back to her house. "She seemed nice." Zander said smiling.

I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, she was." I said picking up a box and taking it inside.

Zander followed with another box. "We're going to have to get done furniture soon." He said.

"Yeah." I nodded in agreement. "What time are Landon and Asher coming over?"

"At one, so we can skype Lexie." He said smiling. "Also I have to pick up your cake." He said kissing me. "I'll be back in a few." He said walking out the front door. All that was left to do now was unload boxes and wait.

When Asher and Landon showed up Zander and I were hanging up our clothes. "Happy birthday Alex!" Said Asher as he walked in through the door.

"Thanks." I said smiling.

"We should skype Lexie before it gets to late for her." Said Zander. I nodded and got my laptop so we could do so. Once Lexie answered we all seemed relieved, maybe it's just because we hadn't talked to her for awhile.

"Hey guys!" Said Lexie smiling brightly. "I miss you so much, happy birthday Alex!"

"Thanks." I said smiling back. "How's Russia?"

"It's cold." She said laughing. "Filipp says my American accent is thick in my Russian and we're trying to get rid of that." She said shrugging. "Do you guys want to meet Filipp? He doesn't speak any English though."

"Yeah! Duh, we haven't met him yet." Said Zander. Lexie laughed and turned around saying something in Russian, a deeper voice replied and the Filipp walked into the screen.

He smiled and waved at us. Filipp was attractive. He had a small beard and shining eyes. He said something in Russian and then Lexie said, "He says hi, and that he's always wanted to meet you guys."

"Tell him we say the same to him." Landon said smiling.

Filipp talked to Lexie in Russian and Lexie laughed and the turned back to face us. "He said he wants to come to New Jersey to meet all of you in person."

After we had talked to Lexie for awhile it was getting late in Moscow and she said that she needed to go to sleep. "Goodbye guys, I love you all!" She said before she hung up.

Landon smiled and handed me a gift. "I hope you like it. It's from me and Asher." He said smiling. I smiled and unwrapped the gift it was a large framed photograph of Zander and I up at the lake in Utah.

"Thank you." I said smiling. "I don't even remember you taking this." I said.

"You guys didn't notice it." Zander laughed. "Asher made the frame." He said.

"Thanks guys, I really like it. Well hang it up as soon as we can." I said smiling.

"Oh yeah this is from Lexie." Said Landon hanging me an envelope. I opened it and it was a couples massage.

"I'll have to thank her later." I said laughing.

"Okay here's my gift." Said Zander. He handed me a small box. I opened it and inside was a Rolex watch.

"Oh my god! Zander, I love it." I said taking it out if the box and putting it on my wrist. I leaned over and hugged him. "Thank you so much."

"You're welcome." He said kissing my cheek. "I'm glad you like it." He said smiling. I did really like it.

Zander went and got the cake from the kitchen he then lit the candles and everyone sung happy birthday and then I blew them out.

"What did you wish for?" Asked Landon smiling.

"If I tell you it won't come true." I said laughing. But I wished that this year would be as good or better than last year.
