~Zander~
Alex and I walked over to my house. I unlocked the door and walking inside to the living room. I turned around and smiled at Alex "Sorry, it's not that great but-" I was grabbed from behind and put in a head lock.
"Hey little bro." Said my brother Carson. I smiled as I pushed him off me. "Is this your friend?" he asked. I nodded.
"This is Alex he's my friend from school. Alex this is my brother Carson." I smiled. Carson nodded.
"Hey it's nice to meet you." Carson smiled and pulled Alex into a hug "Any friend of Zander's is a friend of mine." He winked. My face went beet red. In walked Carson's wife.
Abby was tall and blonde and I guess beautiful, for a girl. She had long flowing locks of golden hair and smiling blue eyes. She was in college to become a lawyer and was very kind.
"Hey Abby." I said giving her a hug. "This is my friend Alex, Alex this is my sister in law Abby." I smiled.
"It's nice to meet you!" Said Abby in her always cheery upbeat voice.
My mom walked into the room and smiled. "Hi Zander." She said, she smiled as she walked over and gave me a hug "Is this your..." I shook my head as my face went red again "Friend?" She asked.
"Yeah this is Alex." I smiled.
"It's nice to meet you all." Alex said smiling softly. It was a shy smile and soft and kind and caring. His blue eyes crinkled in the edges.
Carson gave me a grin and I shook my head the red color returning to my cheeks. After a few more minutes of talking my family dispersed.
Alex and I walked upstairs. "Sorry about my family...."
"You're mom seems like a very affable person." He said.
"What?" I laughed.
"Approachable." He smiled "English majors are good for nothing."
・・・
Later that night, after Lexie had come over and insisted she stay the night, we sat huddled around the small tv in my room.
Lexie jumped up very suddenly. "I know both your secrets and you aren't leaving until you tell each other!" She said looking at us. I instantly knew what secret she was talking about.
I quickly jumped up "Lexie no I-"
"You told Landon during thanksgiving break you can tell Alex to."
"Yeah but-"
"No buts! Just do it." She scowled at me "Just do it." She repeated.
I shook my head. I was still a bit shy about my sexuality especially lately. I could mess things up so easily, and I had before. I didn't want to do it again.
Lexie huffed out a breath "Then were gonna have to play truth or dare."
"No, that's not necessary."
"Yes it is. Unless you just want to say it."
"I refuse to play truth to dare."
"Then I guess we can wait." She said sitting down by Alex.
・・・
It was late, or early, about three AM. After Lexie's attempts to make us stay up all night she fell asleep. Alex and I climbed out my window and were sitting on the roof.
"It's a beautiful night." Said Alex. Dispute the car alarm going off in the distance, it really was a beautiful night. "I've never been someplace so..."
"Ghetto." I asked chuckling.
"No I wasn't gonna say-"
"It's fine." I smiled at him. "You know that secret Lexie was talking about?" I asked him. He nodded and looked down.
"Oh yeah I should probably tell you... I'm gay... And I kinda..." He sighed, "have a crush on you...."
I looked away to hide my excitement. I guess Lexie was right, he was gay. I was so caught up in thought that I didn't realize he was still talking. It was the talk that you give after you come out to someone.
Please don't hate me, I'm a normal person. Blah blah blah. I decided this was to complicated. I turned towards him and kissed him.
It was one of those surprised kisses. He kissed me back after a second or too then I broke the kiss and smiled at him "It's okay, I'm gay too." I said.
His eyes widened and he smiled. He's eyes were so beautiful, blue like the ocean. I smiled back. "Are you really?" He asked me.
I nodded my head and smiled at him, "I guess Lexie was right miracles do happen."
