Next Chapter. We find a little more about the Mather's history. I hope you like it. Comment please :)
Dominik ------------------------>
I'm sitting down on a cold surface. My hands are tied behind my back and my feet bound to something. I'm guessing it's the chair legs that my feet are bound to. I struggle to get free but I can't. I try to scream for help but I can't. Something was in my mouth preventing me from making any kind of noise except for grunts.
My head darts around the room looking for any source of light. It's dark in here. Suddenly, the door opens up and the lights are on. I survey my surroundings quickly. I'm tied down to a chair and I'm in a windowless room. The walls have a grey-green hue to them that reminded me of a jail cell. The tiles are dirty and in some spots were stains of blood. I could see my sister and my parents tied to a similar chair next to me. We were all lined up in a row against the wall opposite the door.
My heart begins to beat faster. I look towards the open door and standing there was about the biggest man I've ever seen in my life. He must have been 6'5" and he had a body builder type of body. His hair was disheveled and his eyes were full of danger. He had no shirt on and I could see scars and tattoos are throughout his body. He's nails were long and his canines were coming out. His eyes were blood shot red too. I knew then he was a rogue werewolf. My dad and mom were beginning to stir up.
What happened? All I remember was going out to get some food with my family and the next thing I knew we were here. My dad groan next to me and the next thing I knew the man at the door was at his side in an instant. He took my dad by his throat and started lifting him up, chair and all.
"I don't think I gave you permission to talk scum!" Our captor practically screamed at him. My dad was tossed to the wall to the left of us and the chair broke when it crashed. My dad was writhing in pain on the ground. Another second passed and another man entered the room.
"Now, now, Demitri. You know how master feels when he's food isn't fresh." This man's tone was soft yet menacing. He was smaller than this Demitri but I could tell he was even more dangerous than Demitri. His skin was pale and his fangs were out. He's a vampire.
"Please let my children go," it was my mom that spoke this time.
"QUIET BITCH!" Demitri slapped her hard and I could tell it was because my mom was coughing up blood now. I struggled to get free but I couldn't. I wanted to protect her from him.
"Well looks like we got a squirmer here." The smaller man stood in front of me. "He has nice skin and he's young. I'm sure master would love having him as a play thing." With that I felt my binding being loosen. I was dragged out of the room to the shouts of my mom telling them to stop. What's happening where are they taking me?
After walking through corridors and up stairs, we finally came to our destination. Where, I didn't know. My tormentor, knocked on the door before opening it slightly. "Master I have something for you." He opened the door more and walked in with me securely in tow. I instantly became sick at the sight in front of me. Bodies were strewn on the floor. There were two holes on their necks and blood was seeping out of them. Their eyes stared blankly into space. I saw about 30 bodies limp on the floor. Was this my fate too? To be one of these bodies.
The small man stopped in the middle of the room and kneeled and bowed. He began to spoke not moving from his current position. "Master, I have something that might interest you."
I finally see movement come out from the shadows and out of it was a naked man drenched in blood. He stepped closer to us and stopped when he finally made it in front of us. He knelt down and picked me up from the collar of my shirt. He carefully studied me before he finally spoke, "I see he's a virgin Marcus. He smells delicious too. I can smell his fear coming off of him. I'm satisfied with him. You may leave."
With that command Marcus left us alone. The master still held me by the collar of my shirt and turned us around to face his bed. In one quick motion he threw me on the bed and was on top of me in an instant. I saw his fangs elongate and eyed the side of my neck. He tilted his head back and dove to take a bite.
I woke up gasping, trying to catch my breath. I've been having that dream for the past couple of nights. It's always the same thing. I wake up before the vampire could take a bite. Why am I dreaming of the time when my parents died?
The sun was beginning to rise in the far distance. I must have dozed off. I got up and stretched my aching body. Sleeping in a sitting position is not comfy, let me tell you. The air was still cool from the shadows of the night and light was beginning to make its way through the forest floor. I looked to my right and saw Maddie still sleeping soundly. I grabbed my blanket and packed up all my stuff into my bag.
It's been two days since we met Dominik and Giovanni. We ran out of their mansion and to my surprise we weren't stopped. I guess they changed their minds the second we left. I guess it was a good thing that they let us go. This meant that they can go on with their lives and we can go on with ours. But then why do I feel this heartache? I ran my hand through my hair and got up. I couldn't think about Dominik anymore. I have to stop, but a part of me didn't want to.
Maddie's stirring broke me from my thoughts. She was slowly getting up. She doesn't really talk to me much after what happened. If I felt the pull then she must have felt it too. Plus I broke her off from Giovanni not herself. I can only guess there's some kind of emotional consequences that come out of it. "Maddie, pack your stuff ok. We'll leave in a few after breakfast." She simply nodded and went about her business. I hated it when she isn't talking to me. Usually she gets mad and just huffs and puffs but I know she doesn't stay mad at me forever. This time though. It's different. She looked defeated and melancholy.
After eating some food and packing the rest of our stuff, we finally started on our journey. Our destination was still the same, a camp so that we can live with other humans. We opted not to go to our first camp since that means we'd have to backtrack to where we first met Dominik and Giovanni, so I decided to go to another camp that was in the opposite direction. It was far but I think this will be a good thing.
We had about another day and a half hike before we arrive at the camp. From what I've heard in the past, the camp we are heading to is strict but fair. Everyone does their fair share and contribute to the group. About midday we decided to take a break near a stream. Maddie still wasn't talking to me so I decided to break the silence.
"Are you still mad at me?"
Silence. I guess that's a yes.
"Maddie please talk to me."
Silence. She's killing me. I looked up towards the sky. It's been a while since we've had such blue skies. "Remember about five years ago, when I taught you how to shoot your very first arrow? We were in that clearing and we were hunting some wild turkey I think. You were so nervous and your hand was shaking but when you let go of that bow you were a natural at it. The sky was just as blue as tod..."
"What if humans had killed our parents? What if humans had rap..." she stopped before she could finish that sentence. I knew what she was going to say. I was starting to get angry. Why is she bringing up this? Where is she going with this?
"What's your point Maddie?" I pretty much spat out those words at her. I was getting livid.
"Would you despise them all?" I stared blankly at the ground. I thought about her words carefully.
"Let's continue on our journey. We've still got a few ways to go."
The rest of the day's journey was uneventful. We stopped when we got to an area where the forest floor was clear and comfortable. We set up our sleeping bags and made a fire for warmth. Maddie was still not talking to me and to be honest, I wasn't in the mood to talk either. I thought about what she said all day. If humans had killed our parents, would I despise them just as much? Is it really fair to generalize what one group did. I found out later on that the group that kidnapped and killed my parents were a group of rogues that had banded together to form an dark clan. It was composed of banished vampires and werewolves and apparently the leader, used to be an ancient that lost his mind because of unknown reasons.
The night was silent and all we could hear was the cackling of the fire. Shit! I forgot to put out the fire before sundown. I was so lost in my thought that I didn't pay attention to time. Maddie had fallen asleep without me noticing. I carefully put the flame out and once all the kindles weren't smoldering anymore, I got up and stretched my legs. I didn't realize that I had been zoning out all night. I decided to take a walk to survey my surrounding but I wasn't going to go far.
I got to an area were the tree canopies weren't thick so I could see the night sky. There was a crescent moon out right now and I basked in the light. Lately I've been dropping my guard only because of one reason. Ever since we ran away from Dominik and Giovanni, I've had a feeling that we were being followed. After the first day I figured it wasn't anything dangerous because if it was dangerous it would have shown itself by now. Plus we haven't had any rogue attacks, which I'm not complaining about, but it just seemed unusual. I knew he was out there. A part of me felt a pull and I knew who it was drwan to, so I took a chance.
"Dominik, I know you're out there." I waited in silence for about a minute before I heard rustling behind me. I turned around and gasped at the giant wolf that was coming towards me. I recognized the green eyes and my suspicions were correct. We've been followed and by none other than Dominik.

How was it? I hope you liked it. Next chapter will be a dialogue of some sort between the two and something extra :)
