[YAY!!! New chapter!  Thank you all sooooo much for reading this and commenting, more please! Chapter Twelve

                I flipped the switches, starting up the ship.  My heart was pounding with both excitement and fear.  If I screw up now, it will result in severe damage or worse, death.   I pushed the accelerator and we started moving forward.

                “This part can be pretty nerve racking, having to navigate through the other ships and out of the hanger.  Same with coming back in.”  Logan said into my ear from his seat at my back. 

                I was following Rabbit, who was in turn following Frog.  We turned around the K fleets ships and onto the main drag out of the hanger.  The space was larger than the “alley” we just left, but it was still pretty tight to me. 

                “Loosen up a bit, your reactions won’t be as jerky.”

                “I’m trying, this is my first time, remember?”  Ok, so that didn’t come out very nice, but I’m nervous!  Give me a break!

                “Don’t make me take over and show you how it’s done now.  I’m holding back because you have to know this, I’ll show you how to be the best like me when you are use to it some.”  Foxer said smugly. 

                “Ok! We get it you are awesome and no one is better, now can we please let the poor boy focus, Foxer!”  Seems I wasn’t the only one to get slightly annoyed with Mr. Cocky here.  Ok, maybe a little more than slightly sometimes.

                  “I’m just saying.”  Logan mumbled a little.  These guys’ relationship is so interesting.  Foxer actually sounded chastised by what Frog said to him.

                I stopped thinking for a second as we neared the end of the strip.  I could see what looked like a small window of black from here.  As we moved forward it got bigger.  Logan wrapped his arms around me a squeezed for a second.

                “If I know you like I think I do, you are going to love this.”  He whispered into my ear, chuckling a little as I shivered somewhat in reaction.

                The door became gigantic in proportions, and millions of tiny lights could be seen through it now.  My breathing increased. 

                Here goes.

                I started to accelerate more, same as Rabbit and Frog.  As we neared the opening I began to flip the switched for the thruster engines, causing us to slowly lift.  Right when we hit the last feet of the strip, I pulled forward on the levers and punched to accelerator.  Lift off.

                As we sailed into the wide open universe, I let out a whoop of pure joy and exhilaration.   I smiled broadly when I heard the echoing of hollers from the rest of my fleet, including Logan behind me. My fleet, my ship, and I am in space flying it myself!

                I mean I have seen space before, traveled through it like everyone else these days, but to be in the front row seat.  Just wow.  It is such a power rush too.  I think I might understand a little more how Logan got to be so smug about everything.  On top of being good, he feels this, might give someone a God complex. 

                I continued following the others moving further and further from the station. 

                “All righty my pretty little fleet mates, let’s show Baby boy how to have some fun!”

                “Heck Yeah!”

                Wait, What?

“Fun?” I asked nervously.

I glanced behind me to catch a wide grin on Foxer’s sexy face.  That just makes me all the more nervous. He stretched his arms forward, sliding along mine.

“Some fun sounds good to me,” he rumbled, “Ready boys?” His hands moved to cover mine. 

What is going on?

“Three!”

“Two!”

“ONE!”

The levers were cranked hard to the left, causing us to go into a spiraling barrel rolled.  My stomach clenched, but my grin grew.

“WOOOO-HOOOOOO!”

“Go Baby, Baby go!”

“YEEE-HAW!”

“Rabbit! What the hell did I tell you about calling him Baby!?”  At that we all busted up laughing and leveling out.

“Sorry Foxer, it slipped, haha.”

“Do it again and my fist might slip into your face.”

“Oooh, sugar, so feisty.”

“So Falcon, you having fun?” Frog asked, guiding the topic away from the other guys’ argument.

“Oh, yeah!” 

“Good, that means I choose right,” this coming from Logan, he winked at me when I looked back at him, causing me to pink a bit.  Not very manly, Jaycen, knock it off!  “Now let’s do some more.”

With everyone’s easy agreement, we spent the rest of the day playing around and doing tricks.  You know, ‘practicing as a team.’
