Dear Daniel, I hate you. I hate because you let me leave you. I hate you because you didn't stop me. I hate you because I remember everything; I remember the day we first held hands, I remember the night I first met your parents and how you told me you loved me when you were walking me and how I said it back and we both had the biggest smiles on our faces. But most importantly, I hate you because I can't get you out of my head at all no matter how hard I try and I know it's been two months but even after all this time apart you still manage to make my heart skip a beat every time I catch a glimpse of you or I'm reminded of you, like when someone says your name or I walk by the park and see those flowers you love or even I hear your mother's favorite song. My point is my feelings for you haven't changed and if it's possible they've only gotten stronger. I keep thinking about you and I hate you because all I can think about is you and the way your eyes light up whenever you smile or how you bite your lip when you're focused or nervous. The truth is I don't actually hate you, I wish I could hate because it would be so much easier but I don't because I love you and I can't stop. Sincerely, Jonah.
