Chapter 27: Fire and Desire
Thankfully, the journey to the designated cave on the Obsidian Volcano was incident free. It was a beautiful day out, the cloudless blue sky high above, a gentle salty breeze from the water making his journey comfortable and relaxing. It made Keahi momentarily forget about his cares and simply enjoyed the peace and tranquillity that was Fire Island.
It was after midday when Keahi began his trek and it was late afternoon when he reached the Cave of Fiery Meditation. Flickering, waxy candles lined the walls, ceiling and floor of the cave, their flames burning softly, gently. It was quite beautiful seeing countless candles lit all at once. The cave was quite spacious, only a simple futon in the centre of the room acting as the piece of humanized luxury.
Walking carefully through all the candles, Keahi shifted his bag from his shoulder as he sat down upon the futon. Placing his bag on his lap, he wiped the light layer of sweat from his brow with the back of his hand. It was hot inside the cave, the candles keeping the air rather steamy. It wasn’t all that uncomfortable, it was quite pleasant, really.
Opening his bag, Keahi set out with the task of getting out the essential oils and incense sticks to start his meditation. Placing the oils on the floor for the time being, Keahi lit up the incense sticks and started placing them in various parts of the cave. It was actually a form of meditation in itself, really.
However, Keahi momentarily paused in his task when he heard Nootau Chatan chuckle within his mind. He tilted his head to the side in confusion, his brow furrowing slightly. “What is it?”
Love is a constant, universal, dynamic energy flowing into and through you at all times, Nootau Chatan’s voice drifted through. Renew your relationships through loving actions.
“Renew your relationships through loving actions?” Keahi repeated under his breath, his confusion only deepening. “What does that mean?”
“I guess it means Nootau Chatan sensed me coming.”
Keahi literally jumped at the voice and he whipped around, his eyes wide in surprise upon seeing a familiar smiling blue-haired man standing right behind him. “Masou!” he practically squeaked. “What are you doing here?”
Grinning impishly, Masou shrugged slightly. “Thought I’d keep you company.”
Keahi found himself smiling gently, truly touched that Masou wanted to be with him, even doing something that would probably bore the lively man to tears. “I am meditating, Masou,” he pointed out. “That doesn’t really require company.”
“But that’s so boring,” Masou retorted, just like Keahi thought he would. “The fire never meditates or sit still, so why should you?”
…That was a pretty good question, actually. Keahi had learnt through Fire Dancing that the flames could never sit still, forever curling and flicking. Even a solidary candle flame could not sit still for very long.
“Ah, well, it’s part of the Fire Priest teaching, I suppose,” Keahi tried to explain.
“Still boring as heck if you ask me,” Masou commented as he slid over to him, his hands instantly touching Keahi’s sides, pulling him up against him. Keahi allowed himself to be held, his body melting against Masou’s readily. He placed his hands on Masou’s strong chest and leaned against him, nuzzling his head under Masou’s chin.
A thought suddenly occurred to Keahi, though, and he pushed back ever so slightly so he could look upon Masou’s face, his brow furrowed in bewilderment. “Um, how did you get up here?” he asked. “Normally the flames wouldn’t...”
Masou grinned his usual carefree smile. “I guess that means the Fire God doesn’t mind me being here, does he?”
“I...suppose not.”
Keahi was…surprised by that. Normally, a Priest was to fulfil his duty alone, the flames keeping outsiders and intruders at bay. But Masou got passed the flames that constantly burned on Obsidian and Nootau Chatan allowed him to approach, finding amusement in his presence.
So that meant…the Fire God really didn’t mind him being with Masou?
“Keahi?”
“Y-yeah?” Keahi shook his head slightly and blinked as he was pulled from his musings.
He then felt Masou slip a finger under his chin, titling his chin up toward him. Masou gazed intently down at him, a warm smile on his lips, his hand on the small of Keahi’s back keeping him close. Then, slowly, he lowered his head and pressed his lips against Keahi’s. For a long moment all rational thoughts left him. Only pleasure flooded his brain, filling his body with a mounting urgency that Keahi found hard to fathom – and to resist.
Keahi’s mouth opened easily under Masou’s gentle coaxing, his knees weakening as Masou’s tongue played over his, moving back and forth in a slow but evocative rhythm. Keahi curled his fingers tightly within the material of Masou’s clothing, clinging to him as a strange and unfamiliar heat consumed his body.
He wasn’t aware that he was being lowered until he felt his back touch the soft futon and Masou’s body pressing down against his.
“Wait,” Keahi panted after he broke the kiss, pushing back a little against Masou’s chest. “We can’t.”
They were in a cave, on the Fire God’s volcano! They couldn’t…
“If the Fire God did not agree,” Masou started to say, making no attempt to move away from him. “Don’t you think He would have tried to burn me already?”
Keahi stilled. In a cave filled with the flames from the Fire God himself, surely, if He did not agree, then Masou would not be here, right?
“That’s true.”
Masou smiled reassuringly down at him before leaning down and kissing him on the lips softly, and yet, under that tenderness was a heated passion that made Keahi’s heart flutter with an unfamiliar feeling.
“Keahi,” Masou whispered his name, his voice husky and deep. “You are so beautiful. Will you...give yourself to me? Please? I want you, only you.”
Keahi blushed deeply at the words, his breathing quickening at their meaning. “...Yes,” he breathed, his hands slipping from Masou’s chest to his back, pulling him down against him again, submitting to his deepening kisses.
Hands touched where none had touched before, Keahi completely succumbing to his primal desire to feel Masou, to touch him, to hold him. Clothes were pushed away hastily, Masou kissing and caressing every inch of Keahi’s body, making him tremble and quiver under him. A whimper escaped his lips when he felt Masou nudge his leg in-between his, parting them. A shiver of anticipation raced down his spine as Keahi opened his legs, welcomed Masou’s heated body against his, his knees bent and his feet flat against the futon.
A new heat consumed him when he felt Masou enter him slowly, finally joining them together body and soul. “Masou…”
It was stifling, the heat from Masou’s body as he moved over him...inside him. But it felt so good. It was as though he was playing with fire. Masou’s taut and powerful body was so warm, comforting and yet exciting at the same time. He had never felt anything like this before.
“Masou...” Keahi gasped as he ran his fingers down Masou’s muscular back, his fingernails grating over each flexing muscle as his own body tensed, ever tightening into a coil of pleasure.
Arching his back as he moaned, Keahi angled his hips, matching Masou’s thrusts with his own. A whimper escaped his lips, which quickly turned into a cry of pleasure. Every fibre of his being was heated, his body slick with sweat under an equally hot body. The pressure in his groin was growing tighter and tighter, becoming unbearable, the pleasure coursing through his veins was overwhelming.
It was too much. But he also didn’t want it to stop.
“Masou...something’s happening,” Keahi whimpered as his body reacted in such a way it had never done before. Squeezing his eyes shut, he threw his head back as his body started to tremble and shudder.
“I know,” Masou whispered to him, holding him tighter and closer. “Come with me.”
Keahi clung desperately onto him as a cry of passion escaped his lips, the pressure in his groin dissipating. He then gasped again when a liquid warmth exploded inside him, causing him to see flashes of white to dance before his eyes.
Then, his tense body went limp and he fell back onto the futon, grunting a little when Masou fell, exhausted, on top of him. They were both breathing heavily, their bodies trembling from their shared passion, Masou still buried deep inside of Keahi.
T-that was amazing...
Slowly, Masou began to move, placing his arms on either side of Keahi’s head and lifted himself onto his elbows, making sure they were still joined.
Still breathless, Keahi peered up at him through half-lidded eyes, his hair clinging to the dampness of his forehead. He then swallowed thickly when he gazed at the intensity, the desire within Masou’s eyes.
They were deep, passionate, burning...for him.
Tilting his head slightly, Keahi slowly closed his eyes as Masou lowered his face toward his, gently pressing their lips together in a tender and loving kiss.
After a long caress, Masou leaned back, slipping out of Keahi’s body with a sigh before rolling off of him to lay down by his side. Immediately, he wrapped his arms around Keahi, pulling him against him in such a way that felt as if he belonged there.
Keahi released a content sigh as he curled up against Masou’s, laying his head on his shoulder and resting his hand on his chest just over his heart. He could feel his heartbeat under his palm.
“Masou,” Keahi whispered.
“Are you ok?” Masou asked as he twirled a strand of Keahi’s black hair around his fingers.
“I’m fine,” Keahi replied sleepily, his eyelids feeling heavy.
“Sleep,” Masou said soothingly. “I’ll be right here.”
Soon, Keahi drifted off to sleep, his dreams filled with warm and dancing flames.
