Sean embraced me warmly and for a while we stood there, just inside the doorway, hugging each other silently. This man was my world, and I couldn't wait to show him the ring I had bought for him with my dad earlier today. Sean pulled back and grabbed my hand, running his finger gently over the silver band.

"It will never get old seeing this," he murmered, looking back up at my face, his chocolate brown eyes glittering. I smiled widely at him.

"It'll never get old wearing it," I replied, nuzzling my face in his neck. He hummed contently at that. "How was work today babe?"

"It was good, I just couldn't wait to get home to you," he said, rubbing his cheek against mine. I curled my finger under his chin and brought his lips closer, before capturing them completely with my own. I never tired of his taste, the feel of his lips, how soft they were. Every time it was like falling under a spell, one that would forever capture me. His tongue met mine and I gripped the sides of his face lovingly with my hands as he threw his arm around my neck and brought me closer to him, a small moan escaping his lips, which totally revved my engines. I loved hearing his husky moan. My body was heating up to the point where I felt like I was on fire. I summoned every ounce of strength I had to pull apart from his passionate kiss.

"C'mon," I said simply, grabbing his hand and pulling him down the hallway towards our bedroom. He followed behind me with a grin on his face the whole time. I stopped in the middle of the room and let go of his hand, turning back to face him. He slowly made his way over to me but I put a hand on his chest, stopping him a short distance away. I smirked and looked at him playfully. He arched an eyebrow and grinned sideways at me.

I slowly reached down for the hem of my shirt and pulled it slowly over my head, letting it drop to the floor as soon as my head was free of it. Sean had a glint in his eye as I moved down to the waistband of my jeans, slowly and teasingly undoing the button, stopping to look back at him, watching his reaction. His gaze became even more fierce as he watched, his eyes shining with anticipation and desire. I pulled my pants down slowly and stepped out of them, leaving only a pair of boxer briefs on as I walked over to the bathroom door. Sean's eyes watched my every move as he turned his head to follow me. He smirked as I turned my back to him from the bathroom door.

"Tease," he said playfully.

"You coming?" I asked as over my shoulder as I reached the shower nozzle and turned on the water. I moved to turn back to face him but he grabbed me by the hips and kissed my shoulder, pressing himself against me. He nipped my shoulder and then I turned my head to kiss his gorgeous lips again.

"Coming home to you.....is the best thing in the whole world," he whispered into my ear before he moved down and kissed my neck, still pressing himself against me, holding me to his chest. I turned around and pulled his shirt off, burning with desire. I grinned evilly at him before slipping out of my underwear and stepping backwards into the shower, letting the warm water fall over my shoulders. Sean quickly ditched the rest of his clothes and joined me, capturing my lips once more.

The next morning I woke up in bed next to my beautful fiance. I was literally on cloud nine. I couldn't believe we were getting married soon. My head was on his chest and our legs were tangled together. This was how we usually slept, though sometimes Sean would lay his head on me and we took turns spooning each other. He was literally the most adorable guy ever.

My phone started vibrating on the nightstand next to the bed. I groaned and reached over for it as Sean shifted slightly and wrapped his arms around me. I looked at the time on the screen. It was only 9 o'clock on a saturday. Dad was calliing. I guess maybe he was wondering if I'd given Sean my gift yet. Considering we just got it last night, I shook my head at my dad but answered the phone anyway, trying to slip out of Sean's grasp and disturb him as little as possible.

"Hey," I said quietly into the phone as I slipped out of the covers and walked over to the doorway. My bare skin got goosebumps at the sudden lack of warmth from Sean's body, as I was in nothing but my underwear.

"Oh sorry! Did I wake you?" Dad asked.

"It's alright Dad, what's up?" I replied.

"Have you decided when and how you're gonna give him that ring yet?" He asked excitedly. I grinned and shook my head.

"I have. I was gonna wait a little while but I can't, so I figured why not today since he and I don't have anything planned so we get to spend the day together," I explained, feeling giddy all over again at the thought. Dad took in a deep breath. "Is something wrong?"

"No Jake, nothing's wrong, it's just....well..." he mumbled.

"Dad what is it?" I clutched the phone tightly against my ear, afraid for what he was about to say.

"Maybe we should talk later..." He tried. I was having none of that though.

"No just tell me," I said. He sighed loudly and hesitated for what felt like an eternity.

"Jake...with everything that has happened, and the progress you've made, maybe it's not a good time," He said slowly. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What?" I asked.

"Your mother," He replied flatly. I fell onto the couch, feeling like I'd been punched in the gut.

"What are you talking about?"

"Jake, kiddo I know things have been tough for you and they have for me too but she wants to talk to you..." he trailed off.

"Dad. I don't want to talk to her," I exclaimed.

"Well you know I'm here for you, and I support you in whatever you decide."

"Yes I know. Thanks dad. Why does she wanna talk to me now, all these months later?" I asked, growing agitated.

"Jake, the thing is.....she just....I don't know but she's still your mom," he breathed. I was livid now.

"You call me and bring this up and for what? For her? What the hell?" I spat. "She hasn't had one thing to do with me and hasn't even spoke one word to me in months! As far as I'm concerned I'm not interested in what she has to say because she's already proven what she thinks of me."

"Jake I know she's been difficult and she's hurt you. Hell I'm just as mad at her as you are! Why do you think we're separated?" He stammered.

"I'm sorry Dad. I'm sorry I got between you both." I apologized. There was silence for a moment on the other end.

"You know..Son there's nothing for you to apologize for. As I've told you, she made her choices and that's on her. She's at fault here. Not you. All I'm saying is if she wants to talk maybe it's worth at least seeing what she has to say," he said.

"Dad I'm scared," I whispered. I was scared. I was scared of talking to her and having her tell me how horrible I am. How disgusting I am. I didn't want to go through anything like that. Sean was the love of my life. I was so happy and today I just didn't need any negativity.

"Just think about it. If you do decide to talk to her, just do it on your terms, not hers. Okay?" Dad told me. I nodded before realizing I was on the phone and he couldn't see me.

"Okay," I finally said.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to let you know. Anyway, you and Sean enjoy your day okay kiddo?"

"We will. I need some time to think about what I should do, but thanks. I'll talk to you later," I replied.

"Okay, bye son." He said before hanging up.

A warm wave of calm suddenly washed over me as two strong and warm arms wrapped around me from behind. My back was pulled against Sean's bare chest as he hugged me from behind.

"What happened Jake?" He asked, his voice raspy with sleep.

"My mom wants to talk to me," I said, relaxing against him as he laid back on the couch a little.

"She does?" He asked, kissing my ear. I closed my eyes, feeling the pleasure his warm lips.

"Yeah. I don't know if I want to talk to her though," I replied. He gently rubbed his hands up and down my chest, touching my nipples.

"Hey!" I laughed, grabbing his hands and turning my head up to look at him upside down. He just smiled and kissed me full on the lips upside down. It was one of the hottest things I'd ever experienced. I sighed contently and rested my head against him again when we broke apart.

"I love you babe," he breathed into my ear.

"And I love you. I can't wait until you're my husband," I smiled broadly at the thought of having my best friend as my husband. He was my other half already. We just needed to make it official.

"Me neither," he replied, kissing the top of my head. "What do you wanna do today?"

I smiled knowingly. "Whatever you want." My plan was about to be set in motion. I brushed all thoughts of my mother aside and focused solely on Sean. I wasn't going to let anything ruin today for my baby.

"Jake!" Sean called from our bedroom. I smiled to myself in the kitchen. I finished emptying the dishwasher and put the clean dishes away before heading down towards the bedroom. I stopped and leaned on the doorframe. Sean was hurriedly getting dressed, he was buttoning his jeans and fishing around the closet for a shirt.

"What's up?" I asked, watching the muscles move in his back as he moved around. He turned to face me.

"Hey, um. My mom called and asked if I could help her rake some leaves and clean up the yard a little. I told her I would?" He said the last part like a question. I nodded.

"Oh. How long are you gonna be gone then?" I asked, feigning disappointment. I had actually asked Kristen to distract Sean from the apartment for a while, but he didn't need to know that. He shrugged.

"I don't know. A couple hours. I'm sorry I know today we just wanted to spend together, but I'll be home soon and we'll be able to spend all day tomorrow together," he said, trying to reassure me. Oh Sean if only you knew. He was so cute wanting to make sure I knew how much he's rather be with me. I fell even more in love with him all the time.

"It's fine. You go ahead and go. Maybe I'll cook dinner or something for when you get back."

"You cook?" He chuckled. I crossed over to him and smacked his arm playfully.

"I can cook some things!" I laughed. He smirked and then pecked my lips.

"In that case, I can't wait for my meal," he said into my ear huskily, making me shiver. I slapped his ass as he walked past me.

"Tease," I winked. He smirked and shook his head.

"I'll call you when I leave okay?" He said.

"Sounds good babe. Have fun with your mom. Tell Kristen I said hi." I said. He nodded, kissed me one more time, then grabbed his keys and slipped out the door.

Normally I'd be a little bummed, but not today. I had a couple hours to make sure everything was ready. I was gonna cook him dinner and light some candles. It was all real cliche but what can I say? Im a cheesy romantic like that. I hoped he'd like what I had planned.

First I got to work cleaning the apartment, making sure everything looked nice.

Then I went to the store and bought all the ingredients I needed to make chicken fajitas for dinner. It was simple but I knew it was something Sean liked and I could actually cook.

I also bought some candles and put them in our master bathroom, spreading some out on the counter and the edge of the tub. I didn't need to light them quite yet. I would do that after Sean called and said he was leaving his mom's. I bought a bouquet of red and white roses and put them in a vase on the dining room table. Then I went to begin cooking the chicken, adding some peppers and onions into the mix. It smelled so good my stomach was growling. About an hour and a half had passed already since Sean left and I knew he'd be hurrying to come home, so I didn't have much more time. My phone rang in my pocket and I smiled. Right on time.

"Hey. I'm on my way," he said.

"Alright. See you when you get here," I said before ending the call. I hustled into the bedroom and changed my clothes. I put on a white tee and a black button down over it, leaving the buttons open. I then changed into my nicest pair of jeans that were dark denim and then hurried into the bathroom. I sprayed some cologne on and made sure my hair looked okay before lighting the candles in the bathroom.

I went back into the kitchen and placed the chicken and peppers into the tortillas. I added some cheese and sour cream and then rolled them up. Once that was done I got out two plates for Sean and myself and set the table, lighting the candles there as well.

I stepped back and surveyed the room. Everything looked perfect. I hope he likes this. I felt the ring in my pocket and took a deep breath. Just then I heard the key slip into the lock and the door swung upon.

Sean immediately froze, taking in the sights before closing the door behind him. He crossed the room quickly over to me and smashed his lips against mine.

"All this for me?" He asked against my lips. I smiled, resting my hands on top of his, which were caressing each side of my face. I led him over to the table and we sat down next to each other holding hands.

"I wanted to do something special for you," I explained. Sean was grinning ear to ear.

"Just coming home to you is special for me," he replied, grasping my hand tightly. I couldn't help but feel so incredibly loved when he said that. "What's this all about?" He asked.

I shook my head. Let's eat first so the food doesn't get cold," I said. He nodded.

"This looks delicious. You were right. You can cook," he exclaimed, picking up his tortilla and taking a bit.

"Thanks babe. I hope it tastes alright," I said. He gave me the thumbs up sign which made me chuckle. We chatted lightly as we ate and held hands the entire time. It felt so good knowing that I cooked our meal and that he appreciated it. When we finished we moved over to the couch and I sat in his lap. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and we stared into each other's eyes wordlessly for a while.

"Sean, the other day you made me the happiest man alive," I said, holding up my hand to show him the silver band on my finger. "It was the best day of my life. You make me feel so special and I love you with everything I am," I told him. He smiled warmly at me. "So I figured I wanted to do something for you too..." I trailed off and got up off his lap. He looked at me confused for a second, while a smile tugged at my lips the whole time.

I got down on the floor, kneeling in front of him. Realization flashed across his features and he sat up quickly, scooting to the edge of the couch.

"Jake.." He whispered. I put a finger to his lips.

"Sean you are the love of my life. When we were kids, and you'd asked me where we'd be in 10 years, I never would've guessed this. But the thing is, it feels more right than anything I've ever done in my life. You've always been there for me and I couldn't be more lucky to have you in my life. I want you to know how much you mean to me and I want you to feel what I feel. I know it isn't exactly necessary, but...." I hesitated when the smile spread across his face, his gorgeous chocolate brown eyes shining and sparkling. In that moment, all I focused on were those amazing eyes. I was so fortunate to be where I am. To see those incredible eyes every morning and every night. I want him to be mine with all that I am. "Sean you asked me to marry you. I said yes. So now I'm asking you...will you marry me?" I asked, pulling the darker grey band out from my pocket and holding it up towards him. I could see the tears in his eyes and they glittered even more if that was even possible. He cupped my cheeks with both hands and brought my face up to his.

"I'd be honored my love," he whispered, before consuming me with a passionate, fiery, deep kiss. I pulled back slightly to slip his ring on his finger before returning to his lips and sucking gently on his bottom one. He moaned slightly, allowing me to stick my tongue in, finding his.

"You're amazing," he said between kisses, before picking me up. I hooked my legs around his waist as he walked down the hall towards our room. We stumbled through the doorway, laughing slightly. The lights were off and I smirked when the soft glow from the bathroom caught Sean's attention. He returned his gaze to me.

"Looks like someone's been busy," he winked, causing me to blush a deep shade of pink. "So cute," he said, stroking my cheek with one hand while I held myself against him, my legs still hooked. He carried me over to the bathroom before setting me down.

He reached down and turned on the faucet to fill the tub. Turning back to me, he smiled sweetly, bringing his hand up and regarding his ring carefully as if it was the most precious thing in the world.

His eyes flicked over to me. Grinning, he pulled his shirt off swiftly, moving to the button of his jeans and undoing it. He took of his pants, making me watch like I'd done to him this morning. Now I knew exactly how teasing it was. I felt myself straining against my jeans as my eyes raked over his body. He tugged down his grey boxer briefs and held his hand out to me.

"Come here handsome," he demanded, his voice deep and sexy. I did as I was told and Sean began undressing me slowly. He stepped into the tub first and relaxed into the warm water before nodding at me to join him.

"You're so beautiful," he said as I eased myself into the water.
