(Vic's POV)
I stood from my bed, stretching a little, and yawn. I turn around and look at the sleeping boy in front of me. I shake my head a little and grin, then make my way to the bathroom. Last night, I admit, I didn't want Kellin to leave and he agreed to stay, saying he'd tell his mom he was at Alan's. My guess was that Alan was one of his people from school.
After brushing my teeth, I brush through my hair, then go back to my room. Kellin was propped on his elbow, rubbing his eyes. He's so cute. I smile a little and lean against the doorway, wondering how long it would take for him to realize I wasn't there. His hand lands on the mattress next to him and I see his eyebrows furrow. "Vic?" He mumbles. I snicker and walk to his side of the bed. He drops his hand from his eyes and sends me a sleepy smile.
Why was he this adorable?
"Oh, there you are." He says, then pats the bed next to him. I shake my head and stand, "I have to go make food for Mike. You can lay in here or on the couch."
He flops back on his pillow, pouting. "Just five minutes?" I ponder this for a while, then decide that five minutes wouldn't hurt. So I wave my hand and he slides over and I get in beside him and he pulls me so I'm resting on his chest. "Kellin--" I begin. "Five minutes." He clasps his hands around the small of my back and I roll my eyes with a small grin.
Maybe the reason I liked Kellin so much was because of how he made me feel-- alive. Before, my life was so planned out. I'd watch over my mom and do school work online until I could graduate and leave this town. No surprises. Maybe that's why I couldn't go without Kellin; I needed him. I know he fucked up and I wasn't over that completely yet, but he was human, and I was going to try to forgive him as soon as possible.
My train of thought was broken when I feel him running his fingers through my hair. "You're thinking too much." I laugh lightly and wrap an arm around him, shivering a little. "No, just about you."
He laughed and pinched my side, then kissed my head. "Five minutes are up!" I say, then pull away from him and stand, running out of my room and down the stairs. I hear him complaining and laugh loudly, making my way to the stove. Mike was in the chair, shaking his head. "You two are something." I ignore him and grab the eggs and bacon and butter.
I fix the eggs first, humming lightly. As I put them on two plates, I hear Kellin coming down the stairs, grumbling and scratching his head. "It's too early to be awake." He falls onto the couch, immediately curling into a ball, his shirt rising a little, exposing a bit of his pale skin. I turn away and smile slightly, shaking my head. I put bacon on the plates and start on the toast.
When everything is done, I bring Mike his plate and put Kellin's on the coffee table. I sit next to the grumpy boy and rub his back, laughing a little. "Wake up and eat." I say. He mumbles something into one of the pillows and I roll my eyes. "This is great, Vic." Mike says from the chair. I thank him and cut the TV on. "Kellin," I shake him lightly. "C'mon, you need to eat before you go home."
At this, he rolls onto his side. "I don't want to go." He whines. Rolling my eyes, I stand again. "I know. Please eat." With that, I go to shower. Again, Kellin complains about me leaving and I can't help but laugh.
_____
(Kellin's POV)
Mike and I eat the food Vic prepared and I try to find something on the television. I settle on American Dad, one of my favorite shows. When the taller guy in front of me speaks, I jump. "So, you guys are good now?"
I nod a little, taking another bite of food. There's another silence between us, one that makes me uneasy. "He told me what happened, Kellin." I snap my head up and look at him, then gulp. My face is beyond red and I feel the urge to run away. "I'm--"
"I know. That's the only reason I haven't kicked your face inside of itself," he shrugs, finishing off his toast. It occured to me that Mike wasn't someone I wanted to ever be against--ever. "Because I know you're sorry. But try to see it from my perspective. Vic is--well, I don't know. He's not used to someone paying attention to or watching after him. He's always the one looking out for people. And you do, you look out for him, and he knows you like him. So when you did that with someone you didn't care about, it made him feel like you didn't care. Trust me, I know him."
Another silence.
But Mike made sense. I nod and gulp, putting my plate on the table. It was seven o'clock now so I needed to be leaving so I didn't miss the bus, but I didn't want to be rude. "Seriously, Kellin. Don't play around with him, he really cares. If you like him, like him, if you don't, tell him that."
"I do. I like him a lot."
"Then don't do that again, or you won't have a face."
I stand abruptly, clearing my throat. "Got it, Mike. I'm going to get my stuff." So I rush upstairs and put my black jeans and grey Drop Dead sweatshirt on, then head across the hall quietly. I knock on the bathroom door and chew the inside of my cheek. "What?" I hear. "I need to brush my teeth," I say loudly so he can hear me. "Okay, come in." He says over the shower. So I walk into the bathroom and I'm hit with the steam, causing me to cough. I step over Vic's clothes with a grin, admiring how cute he was, and then brush my teeth with his toothbrush, knowing he wouldn't mind.
"Are you leaving now?" I hear him ask. I rinse my mouth before answering, "Yeah, I have ten minutes before the bus comes." The water cuts off and it occurs to me that Vic's in the shower. Morals, morals, morals. Gulping, I put his tooth brush back. I go to open the door but his voice stops me. "Wait," he says. I drop my hand from the door knob and feel my cheeks get red. "Keep your eyes shut." So I do. I don't voice that I've seen him before.
"Okay, you can look now." He says after a pause. I turn around and smile a little, internally swooning. He's covered by a towel and his wet hair sticks to his cheeks and forehead. "I wanted to kiss you before you left." He looks at the floor. I grin and blush slightly, then walk closer to him, knowing he didn't initiate the kisses unless he was drunk. Oh, how I miss drunk Vic. Pushing the thought away, I cup his cheeks and kiss him, trying not to grin and ruin it. Once I've kissed him, I wanted to again, so when we pull away, I reconnect our lips.
He pulls me closer and I place my hand on his back, tracing over his spine. I didn't notice he was so small but it was adorable to me, even if it did make me worry. I hum and pull away, nudging my nose with his. "Okay, if I don't leave now I never will. Bye, sunshine." I grin slightly and drop my hand, then pinch his cheek and smile wider. He smils in return and wraps a hand around his middle, signaling that he was cold. "Bye."
I sneak one last kiss in and leave, wanting to run back in there more and more with every step.
_____
I shiver, pulling my black sweater tighter around me. The wind was chafing my nose and cheeks so I hoped someone would answer the door soon. I knock again and hear someone ranting about how they were coming. "What?" Someone snaps when they open the door. It's an older man with familiar brown eyes and an annoyed expression. Suddenly I grow nervous, remembering who this was. Mr. Fuentes, Mike and Vic's dad.
"Oh," his face softens. "Kellin Bostwick, right?"
I nod, biting the inside of my cheek. "Vic's friend. I came to see him, um, he's supposed to be meeting some of my friends from school today." I explain somewhat nervously. Why did he look angry at first? Was something going on with Mike or Vic, or both? They seemed to be getting closer, so maybe they were both in trouble; well, I hoped that wasn't the case. "Is that so?" He asks, looking back into the house. "Uh, yes, sir. Mike was going to come too."
He thinks for a bit, then steps aside. "Come on in. There in the game room right now."
I nod and walk in quickly, my head down. I approach the game room and knock, peeking my head in. They were playing Grand Theft Auto, one of my favorites. "Hey, Kellin." Mike offers. I give him a smile, "Hey, you guys ready?" I furrow my eyebrows, running my eyes over them. Vic was in black briefs and a long sleeve white tee, hair a mess. God, but still the cutest thing in the world. Mike was in black shorts, no shirt, cigarette in his mouth. They'd obviously forgotten.
"Ready for what?" Mike mutters arund the spliff.
"Meet my friends. You guys forgot, I see."
Vic gasps and pauses the game, looking surprised. "Oh my gosh, I did forget." He leaves the room, dragging me behind him. I laugh lightly and knot my fingers with his as he rushes us to his room. When we reach the room, he drops my hand and starts putting clothes on. I shake my head and sit on the edge of the bed while he hops and stumbles into black skinny jeans with holes in the knees and an adorable grey and black sweater from Rebel Eight, a brand I'd never heard of. He kept trying to clasp his belt but he was rushing, so it wasn't working, and I stand to help.
I stand in front of him and grab his hands, kissing both of them, "Calm down, it's not a big deal." He rolls his eyes, "For you, maybe not. You get around people all the time, and you know them, I don't." I fix his belt and roll my eyes, clasping my hand with his to pull him closer. I nudge my nose with his affectionately and kiss him quickly.
"You'll be fine." I murmur. He smiles a little and leans forward, so I press my lips to his again. This one lasts longer, and my stomach flutters. Our lips move together for a while and I feel his hands clasp my tee shirt. I wrap my arms around him and rub his back, taking a breath through my nose.
He pushes us back to the bed and I raise my eyebrows, falling back on the mattress and bringing him with me. I cup his cheeks and move my knees apart so he can lay between them. He pushes his hands through my hair and I feel my eyes flutter as my breathing hitches. We pull away for air and I lay my lips on his neck, placing wet kisses all over as he lets out a shaky breath. I bite a little, leaving a little mark. I make more and more, grinning subtly. I lift my head and kiss him again, running my thumbs along his red cheeks. I felt more and more flustered but the mood was shattered when I hear a voice.
"When you two are done, I'll be waiting in the car, okay? Cool."
I pull away and lay my head back, sighing. Vic covers his face in my shirt, blushing madly. I snicker after a pause and rub his back, lifting his chin to kiss him lightly. "We can continue later, sunshine."
"Shut up."
