(Vic's POV)

"I still remember the night you tried to kiss me through the window. I tried to settle for the taste of touching glass over the sound of-" I stop my hushed singing and sigh, feeling blank. Everything about me felt drained and weighed down, especially my brain. I'd tried to add on to the lines of lyrics I'd formed last night but nothing came to me.

Whatever, I think. Doesn't matter. I roll off my bed and check my clock; 11:31. I stretch and adjust my boxers and pad to my bathroom to shower. As I wash, I think about Kellin and what he was doing. Was he busy? I wondered if we could go get lunch or something, since it was about that time of the day anyway.

Would he even want to with me? Plus, he has a girlfriend. Well, it was just lunch, nothing serious. I rinse and cut off the water, deciding to stop over thinking the idea. I secure a towel around me and walk to my room, looking for clean clothes. I get into fresh black briefs and dark khaki skinny jeans. I tap my chin in search of a shirt, then I spot my white Pantera long sleeve shirt.

For the next ten minutes, I pace around my room, pondering if I should text Kellin.

(Kellin's POV)

Kelly tangles her hands in my hair as I press her against the wall, keeping my hands in the middle of her back. She was a good kisser, don't get me wrong, but I was bored. Very bored. She seemed really into it though so I didn't want to ruin that for her. I traced my lips over her jaw and neck, nipping at the skin every once in a while. As I trace my hands up and down her sides, my phone buzzes in my back pocket.

I slow my kisses and make my way back up, where I lay a final kiss on her mouth. I drop my hands and smile slightly as she catches her breath. She reaches her hand out and I take it, pulling her away from the wall of my room. Mom let her stay the night yesterday, but Kelly slept in the guest room, thank God. I lead her down to the kitchen, where Mom has fixed us burgers.

But still, she was on the phone, just like she was an hour ago. "I know! Those stupid people have no respect," I knew who she as talking about immediately. "And those sons of theirs. Which one is that? No, no, the creepy one, the shorter one. That other one is just as tall as Derek. Yes! That's him," I furrow my eyebrows and pretend to be listening to Kelly, though I'm caught up in what my mother is saying.

"He did what? Oh, c'mon! You know that isn't true. Wow. Well, I'm sure they lied about that, no way that boy would do that." I tilted my head in annoyance and clenched my fists. "Kellin," I hear from next to me. "Are you hearing what I'm saying?" I shake my head, taking another bite of my food. "Sorry, what?" I mumble. She sighs, shaking her head a little. "I swear, you never listen," she hardly whispers. In a way, I felt bad, but I said nothing. "I said, my parents want to meet you."

My food feels like it weighs three hundred pounds then, making my chest clench. "Oh, uh," I cough. "Yeah." She raises her eyebrows, looking for a definite answer that I didn't have at the moment. What do I even say to that? To distract myself, I read the message I received a while ago. I smile a little when I see it's from Vic, opening the message immediately. Hey, are you busy?

I bite my cheek in thought, glancing at Kelly, who's still staring at me. No, why? I put my phone away and tap my fingers on the table. "Yeah, I know. They make me sick, Lucy. Making everyone else feel lesser than them. Yeah, I don't allow Kellin to go over there or even associate with them. Oh, he knows. Yeah." I grin to myself and shake my head at her lack of knowledge about her own child's whereabouts.

"So, what do you think?" Kelly asks. "I think..." I begin, biting my lip a little. What the hell am I supposed to say? "I think that maybe we should wait. You know they probably wouldn't like me." She laughs a little and props her chin on my shoulder. "They will, trust me. You're going to do fine." Jesus, show me the fucking way. I feel myself getting annoyed but I only nod, giving her a small smile and check my messages. Want to go to get some lunch? I'm rather bored and I wanted to see you. I smile a little and feel my face heat up against my will.

Sure, give me a few minutes and I'll be ready. "I swear, I hate them! Yes! I know, I know, it's rude, I guess, but I can't stand them. They're so conceited." After that, I stop listening. I push away the other half of my burger and squeeze Kelly's hand. "I have to go soon, so if you want to get your stuff together," I say slowly. She nods and kisses my cheek, going up to my room quietly. Well, I think. That was easier than planned.

I wait by the door for her and when she comes down, I smile warmly and stroke her cheek. She blushes a little and wraps her arms around my middle and I flinch a little but try to play it off. I smile again and place my hands on her cheeks, placing a kiss on her lips. A couple seconds pass and I pull away, dropping my hands from her face. "Thanks for letting me stay," she calls over her shoulder and my mom waves her off. "Alright, I'll see you soon." I pull a grin and she returns it, kissing my cheek. "Love you." She says. "Yeah, love you too." I mutter, opening the door for her.

She steps out and I watch her get into her SUV. I wave a little and smile at her, and she returns it. Oh my God, I'm a horrible person. I have to end it, I have to. I cannot lead her on like this forever. When she leaves, I shut the door and pull my phone out. Okay:) I can come get you if you want. I let my fingers hover for a bit before replying. That's fine:) about to get dressed rn.

And I do just that, I rush up to my room and slide on worn out jeans. They were light blue, both knees were ripped to hell, exposing the paler skin of my knees and some of my thigh. After I throw on a Green Day hoodie, I head to my bathroom. I finish brushing my teeth and slide a black beanie over my messy hair. Working on a heap of bracelets, I take my phone out and let Vic know I'm ready.

I sigh and my lips tug in a small grin, heading back down to the living room. "Why did you change clothes?" Mom asks. "Oh, I'm going to lunch with a friend of mine from school." I say quietly, keeping my eyes on my phone as I wait for a reply. "Which one?" She asks; right then, I wished she was on the phone instead of earlier. God must hate me, I think annoyingly. "Oh, just Jack. Tall, gangly Jack, you know him." I grin to myself for the discription I've given.

I'm here:) I stand up from the couch and rush out, yelling a goodbye to Mom. I get in and try not to blush at how cute Vic looks. Dark khaki skinny jeans and a long sleeve white band shirt, looking adorable as ever. "Okay, let's hurry before Mom decides to get curious about who I'm with." I mutter with an amused smile. He nods and laughs a little, driving out quickly. We laugh and drive off, then I let my eyes wander over to him.

His hair was messier than usual and he looked tired, big brown eyes clashing with the white light of the gloomy weathered day. I smile a little and look forward again, then cut on the radio. Of course, my awesome fate was ruined by my phone ringing. "Hello?" I say, kind of rudely, I might add. "Hey, babe," Kelly says. I sigh and pick at my jeans and grit my teeth. "What?" I ask sharply. "Don't snap--"

"No, I will. You know I hate fucking talking on the phone but you keep fucking calling!" I yell. "I'm supposed to, you're my boyfriend!" Her voice hurts my ears. I grunt and scoff, tapping my thigh quickly with my fingers in a rush of anger. "I don't care, that doesn't mean--" She cuts me off, "You don't care?" I shake my head and sigh, feeling Vic's eyes on me. Did he know it was Kelly? I shake my head again and fiddle with my beanie.

"No, Kelly, I don't. Sorry." And I hang up in fear that I'll really snap and upset her even more. Vic laughs a little from the driver's seat but I don't reply. I cut the radio off and watch the road pass out of my window. "Was that Kelly?" Vic asks in a small voice. It was obvious I was pissed about the whole ordeal and he seemed cautious. "Yeah, that's my Kelly." I say sarcastically. We laugh a little and I shake my head, sliding sideways so I'm closer to him and lay my head on his shoulder and sigh. She just made me so angry some times, it really wore me out.

He takes an arm and puts it around my shoulder. "I'm sorry she's like that." He says quietly. "It's okay." I sigh again. He slides his arm down to rest in the middle of my back, his fingers squeezing my sides. The contact makes me shiver, and a funny feeling erupts in my belly. I take in his scent and smile a little, feeling warm all over and content with everything. Why was he so addictive for me?

Was was everything about him so overwhelming and intense? All the feelings were too much, in a way, but I couldn't make them stop. I liked him so much it hurt. "Well," I say into his shoulder. "I want to forget about her for a day." I nervously move my hand over to his around my side and he laces our fingers together comfortably. I think my heart will explode but it doesn't, it just beats rapidly against my ribs the whole time.

"Let's forget then." He says quietly, squeezing my hand. I smile and feel my insides flutter. I've decided that I cannot get enough of Vic Fuentes.
