AH I KNOW I hate these things at the beginning and end of a story too BUT sorry for any grammar issues.

*Micah's POV*
Piper brings me to her car. Where she plans on taking me...I don't know.
"Where are we going?"
"Somewhere quiet." Piper answered me, keeping her eyes on the road. I was expecting her car to be littered with trash and reek of smoke, but it didn't. I was impressed.
Out of my window I could see we were heading down Main Street. I knew where we were going now. At the end of Main Street is the park. Piper parks the car and gets out. She heads over to a picnic table under a couple of trees. I could leave right now. She didn't ask me to follow, which made me curious of what she was doing. I went to the table were she was sitting.
"What's all this about?"
"Do you know why I smoke?" Her question took me by surprise. I didn't know how to respond, so I just sat there.
"Do you know why I moved here?" She asked. Why these strange questions? I just looked at her and for once she didn't look like a total bitch. I could see her blonde roots peek out from the faded pink. When she looked me in the eyes I could see how pale blue her eyes were. At this moment she looked...normal.
"I thought we were-"
"Eight months ago my other brother told me he was...gay..." She glanced behind her back, and began again, "I teased him about it, you know like a I-told-you-so manner..." I saw her eyes gloss over with water. Then a tear ran down her cheek. I got up and walked around to her side of the table. I had no idea what she was doing or why she was saying these things to me but I couldn't just sit there and do nothing. I put my hand on her hand. I nodded at her, making it ok to continue with whatever she was saying.
"Seven months ago my brother shot himself. Suicide. He left a note dedicated to me." Piper shuddered, "anyway in the note he explained how it wasn't my fault and how he loved me. He said he wouldn't wish the that type of rejection on any one. At the end of the letter he said to never discourage anyone either." She got up and walked to a tree, leaning on it. I was shocked.
"Then about a month after my brother...did that, we moved here to a bigger city. I got caught up in the drugs and shit like that because," She snuffed her nose and laughed a little, "I don't know I guess I was depressed or something. I changed schools twice before I ended up in school with you." Piper came back over and sat next to me. She placed her hand on my shoulder.
"But...why are you telling me...a this?" I finally said something. Piper locked eyes with me.
"When I first saw you and Thayer together I didn't think you were friends." She said, not really an answer to my question.
"What were we to you then?"
"Do I really need to answer that? When you look at Thayer, it is the same look my brother gave one of his close friends." Piper let go of my shoulder and picked up my face. Why she was having a heart to heart with me has still not cross my mind.
"I don't want what happened to my brother, to happen to any one else. It's a terrible way to go." She took out her phone. I glanced over to it and the time was 5:34pm.
"You hungry?" Piper smiled. I shook my head yes.
"Good," We walked back to her car and got in. What a strange afternoon. Piper just spilled out all her thoughts and feelings, but for what? What did her brother have to do with anything? Driving along Main Street again, I spot a McDonalds and point to it. That would be good enough.
We went inside to eat. I ordered and picked out a table. We ate in silence for about ten minutes before Piper started with her speech again.
"So what are you going to do?" Piper broke the silence.
"What do you mean?" I honestly didn't know what she wanted me to say or do at this point. She slammed her hand to her forehead.
"You have no idea what I'm trying to get at do you?" She pestered me. She was making me feel dumb because I didn't know what she was saying. More like I didn't want to accept what she was saying. I shook my head.
"I told you my life story and blah, blah, blah...I don't want you to end up like my brother."
"How would I end up like your brother?" I didn't want to give in yet. I don't want to hear it. I don't like Thayer like that. I never did. I never will. Thayer is only a friend. Only a friend. Only a friend. Only a friend...
"He could be more than a friend you know." She caught me off guard. She couldn't have known what I was thinking...
"It's all over your face. Your terrible at keeping your emotions covered." She added.
"I don't like Thayer like that...I don't like him like that...I don't." Repeating it made it sounded stupid, but I wanted to get my point across.
"You sure?"
I don't want to answer that question. I don't want to know my own answer. Ah fuck me, and my inability to hide my facial expressions. I could feel my ears turn red, and then my face. My phone vibrated in m pocket. I grabbed it. A text from Thayer.
Thayer: Where ya at?
I texted him back that I was at home. Even though I wasn't. Then I remember what me and Piper were just talking about.
"I just want to go home." I said, slightly embarrassed. I don't know anything anymore. Piper threw our trash away and took me home. When she pulled up in my driveway, she had one more thing to say.
"Micah, think about something for me. Think back to the last time you had a girlfriend. What did you do? What did you like? When you were with her, what did you wish you were doing?" When she was done she apologized for how things went down at the party.
I went to my room and plopped face first on my bed. I had some thinking to do.
