Later in the evening, I was at home alone again. Mom said something about going out with some friends and won't be home until late tonight. So here I was, sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and watching my favorite movies.

Currently, I was watching Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. I had already watched the first one, The Phantom Menace. And I intended to watch the rest of them tonight.

The sound of the doorbell surprised me while watching the movie. I never have company this late so I cautiously stood up from the couch. I grabbed the remote, paused the movie and slowly walked towards the door. There wasn't a window near our front door, so I couldn't peek out and see who it is.

"Who is it?" I called out. There was no answer though.

I reached out and grasped onto the doorknob. I took a deep breath, raised the remote in my hand, and swung open the door.

Standing there with surprised faces was Kelly and Aiden.

"Riley?" Kelly questioned me.

Jeez. I probably looked ridiculous holding this remote I my hand. I found myself blushing. "Oh. Hey."

Aiden started to laugh at me, making my face grow even hotter. "What the hell were you going to do with a remote?? I don't think you can kill anyone with that thing."

Kelly chuckled along with him. "Seriously Riley. Just let us in, we're not killers."

I stayed quiet and opened the door wider for them. They walked into my house and I shut the door behind them. I still felt embarrassed.

"So what are you guys doing here again?" I asked them.

Kelly looked at me. "I was bored at home and recruited Aiden to come here with me."

"I had nothing to do either." He shrugged.

"Well, I'm not really doing anything either. Just watching movies." I answered.

Kelly started to walk into the living room so Aiden and I followed.

"What are you watching?" Kelly asked me.

"Star Wars." I smiled, easing up a bit.

Aiden chuckled. "Nerd."

Kelly sat herself down on the big chair and made herself comfortable. "I've never seen this movie."

She did not just say that. "You've never seen Star Wars??" I asked her immediately. "Have you been living under a rock your whole life?"

"Oh, the irony." Aiden said as he sat down on the couch. That was the spot where I had been sitting this whole time.

I shook my head. "You can't sit there. I basically claimed that spot."

Kelly laughed. "You sound like Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory."

Well, at least she's seen that show. "It's decided then. You must stay and watch Star Wars." I told her, smiling.

She shrugged. "Okay."

I found the first movie and put it back on. When I walked back to the couch, Aiden was still sitting in my spot. "Sorry, but you're going to have to move." I crossed my arms.

"And what'll happen if I don't?" He asked. Amusement filled his eyes.

"Then I will sit on you."

He grinned. "Go ahead. I don't think I would have a problem with that."

Oh goodness. "Never mind." I rolled my eyes. I sat next to him instead of fighting with him. I pressed play on the remote and sat back.

"Is this popcorn?" Aiden reached for the bowl. He grabbed a handful of popcorn and stuffed it into his mouth.

Sometime during the movie, Aiden finished the popcorn himself and started to complain how he wanted more. Kelly repeatedly told him to shut up, but he continued to whine.

I finally grabbed the bowl and stood up. "Fine. I'll go make some more." I stalked off towards the kitchen.

I walked up to the pantry and opened the door. I grabbed a new bag of popcorn and started to take the plastic off. Once I had it off, I opened the flaps and stuck it into the microwave. I pressed the numbers in and waited for it to finish.

As I crossed my arms, I noticed it was quite dark in the kitchen. Feeling a little uneasy, I turned to flip the switch and turn the light on. But a tall figure was blocking me from it. I jumped back, not expecting anyone to be in here with me.

Aiden chuckled at me. "Jumpy, are we?"

"Just a little bit." I lied. "What are you doing in here?"

"Waiting for the popcorn of course." He answered as he took a step towards me. I felt how close he was to me and swallowed.

I took a deep breath. "Um, can you turn on the light switch behind you?" I asked nicely.

"Why? I kind of like it like this." He replied. I turned back towards the microwave and sighed. Just twenty more seconds.

If Aiden wasn't standing close to me before, he sure is now. I felt his presence directly behind me and it was a little unsettling. He didn't say anything for a moment. The microwave beeped and I opened the small door. Grabbing the bag, I shook it and listened for any loose kernels. When I heard none, I went to open the bag. Suddenly, Aiden's hands covered mine as I was trying to open it.

"Careful there. Wouldn't want to burn yourself, would you?" He whispered into my ear, sending shivers up my spine.

"I'm fine." I said, sounding a bit shaky. I opened the bag and poured the popcorn into the bowl in front of me.

His hands trailed up my arms, making me freeze. They rested on my shoulders for a moment before they pulled my hair back, exposing my neck. I closed my eyes when I felt him breathing. "Are you sure about that?" He asked quietly. As he spoke, his lips brushed against my skin.

I involuntarily sighed and nodded, not trusting my voice.

His lips pressed against the skin on my neck. My heart was beating so loudly, I was sure he could hear it. He trailed small kisses up to my jawline as his hands rested on my hips, holding me in place. His hands put a bit of pressure on my sides. My shirt rode up a bit, and his fingers brushed my skin. His touch felt like fire.

"Let's get back. Wouldn't want Kelly to make any assumptions, do we?" I felt his lips touching my ear as he spoke to me.

Aiden grabbed the bowl and stepped away from me. I looked at him incredulously and he just winked at me.

When we reentered the living room, Kelly's eyes were glued to the screen. She paid no attention to us as we sat on the opposite ends of the couch.

I didn't pay attention to the rest of the movie. My head was still trying to process what just happened in my kitchen. What was going through Aiden's mind during all of that?

"Riley."

What on earth possessed him to do such a thing? I couldn't even do anything either. I just stood there and let him do as he pleased.

"Riley?"

How helpless I felt. How did he make me feel that way? I have never been touched like that. Knowing I let Aiden do that to me felt unnerving, but then it felt okay.

"Riley!"

I blinked and looked at Kelly. She frowned at me once I looked at her. "Were you zoned out or something?" She asked. "The movie is over. I thought we could watch the second one now."

I nodded. "Oh. Okay." I stood up and looked for the second movie. Once I found it, I popped it in and went back to the couch.

Aiden glanced at me as I sat down. "Are you okay Riley? You seem...distracted." A smile played at his lips.

He was toying with me.

"I'm fine. Not distracted at all." I told him confidently.

"Can we watch the movie now? You two can flirt some other time." Kelly's voice rang out.

Aiden chuckled while my cheeks burned with embarrassment for about the millionth time tonight. I have never been accused of flirting with someone. Hearing that come from Kelly felt weird.

I pressed play on the remote and let myself get zoned into the world of Star Wars and not the world of Aiden.
