“Andre Ryan,” I said with a smile as he opened his front door. He was dressed nicely, and so was I. I grabbed his hand and led him out of his house. His mom smiled at us from the doorway as we walked down the driveway to my dad’s car.

We got  in the back and my dad turned on the CD I made for tonight. Can you feel the love tonight started playing, and Andre giggled adorably. “Did Pierce Harts really make a cliché CD for tonight?” he asked.

But I could see in his eyes that it made him feel special. And that was good. That was my goal. I wanted to make Andre feel special. He deserved to feel special. I wanted him to know how much I loved him. Maybe it could make up for me sleeping around behind his back.

I wrapped my arm around him and he smiled and rested his head on my shoulder. I kissed his forehead and smiled myself. My dad pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant and smiled softly at the two of us.

“Okay boys, call me when you need a ride home,” he said. “Thank you Rich,” Andre said with a smile and waved as we got out of the car. I grabbed his hand again and we walked into the restaurant together.

“Do you have a reservation?” a man asked as we entered. I nodded. “Harts,” I said and he looked it up and nodded. He grabbed two menus and led us to a booth in a more private section. Andre and I sat across from each other and he handed us our menus. “Someone will come take your drink order in a moment,” he said before walking back to the front of the restaurant.

We opened our menus and I reached across to hold his hand. “This is great Pierce. Thank you so much,” Andre said sincerely, looking around the restaurant. It was simple, yet fancy. The lights were dimmed and the mood could be casual or romantic, depending on whom you came here to eat with. For us, I was definitely feeling some romance.

The waiter came and eyed our hands with disgust in his eyes. But he forced an obviously fake smile onto his face. “Hi, my name’s Ryan and I’ll be your waiter tonight. May I start you two off with drinks?”

“I’ll have a Pepsi,” I said. Fuck no, I wasn’t saying please. I hated homophobes. Yea, Andre and I were both boys, and we were dating. Grow the fuck up, and get over it. Fucking a.

“I’ll have root beer pleaser,” Andre said and the waiter nodded and left to fetch the drinks. “Just our luck to get the homophobic waiter,” I said, shaking my head in annoyance. Andre squeezed my hand and smiled gently. “Hey, don’t let it ruin the night. He’s just taking our orders, that’s all.”

I sighed and smiled. “Yea, I guess you’re right Andre.” He came back with our drinks and took our food orders. He left to go get our food, and I grabbed Andre’s other hand. We leaned and kissed gently over the table.

“Pierce, I love you,” Andre said with a smile. “I love you more,” I said and stuck my tongue out. “So stick that in your juice box and stuck it.” “The way tonight’s going, I might be sucking something else,” he said simply and I burst into laughter.

“Oh shit, I love you,” I said when I could finally manage to talk again. He smiled. “You’re the only person I’ve ever gone so far with, Pierce.” I nodded. “I knew you were a virgin when we started dating Andre.”

He blushed a little. “No, I mean, like, even making out. I was kind of prude before I met you. But you didn’t pressure me. You let me work my comfort zone up at my own pace, and I think that’s why it expanded so much. So thank you for that. Thank you for not pressuring me.”

I leaned over and kissed him again. “Like I said, I would never pressure you into doing something you didn’t want to. So even now if you get uncomfortable with the sexual stuff, or even with making out or something, just tell me.”

He smiled softly as the waiter came over and set our food down in front of us. He walked away and we released each other’s hands to eat.

“It’s really good Pierce,” Andre said honestly as he ate. I nodded in agreement. “That’s actually surprising. I figured that asshole would’ve spit in our food.” “Pierce!” Andre said and giggled adorably again. “God dammit Andre. Stop being so adorable!” I whined.

We fell into casual chat as we ate. I avoided the subject of Jay. I had a feeling Andre didn’t want to talk about that, plus I didn’t want to spoil the night.

                “Hi Pierce. Hi Andre.”

We looked over at Shailer and I felt a little color drain from my face. But for the sake of Andre, I forced a smile. “Hi Shailer!” we both said merrily. Holy fuck he looked hot tonight. He was wearing black dress pants with a white button up shirt and a black tie. His red-blond hair was straightened neatly.

He was walking with his parents and another man. His parents and the man were also dressed fancily. It was probably his dad’s boss. Shailer said he and his mom went to a lot of dinners with his dad and his dad’s boss.

They sat down at the table across from us. Shailer got up and came over to us. “Hey Andre, I heard about what Jay said. He’s full of shit. I think he’s just jealous that you’re closer to Pierce than you are to him. Just ignore him.” Dammit Shailer. He just had to bring up Jay.

“Yea,” Andre said quietly and Shailer grinned at him. “Hey, cheer up. You’re on a date with Pierce Harts. Do you know how many people would kill to be you right now?” We both laughed at that. I had a feeling Shailer was one of those people who would kill for the privilege.

Still, I couldn’t help but stare at him a little. He looked absolutely stunning in the clothes he was wearing, and I knew for a fact that he was just as stunning under them.

“Shailer, honey, come sit,” his mom called. Shailer sighed. “See you guys. I have to go play mommy’s precious little boy now,” he said with an eye roll and sat down with his parents.

Shailer’s parents thought he was an innocent kid. But Shailer was about as innocent as Marilyn Manson. I had met his parents before, and they would good people. Great parents and all, but Shailer had two sides to him. The side his parents saw, the good boy, and the side everyone else saw.

“Come on Andre,” I said once we had finished eating and paid the bill. I had left the waiter a very small tip and Andre rolled his eyes. We slid out of the booth. “See you later Shailer,” we said and he nodded. “Bye guys,” he said, giving me a knowing look when Andre wasn’t looking.

We left the restaurant, and I knew I was going to cheat on Andre again. Shailer’s look had said it all. We weren’t done with each other yet. But for tonight, I was all Andre’s, and he was all mine.

I wrapped my arm around his waist and pulled him close to me as we walked. “Where are we going, Pierce?” he asked curiously and I smiled and kissed him. “You’ll see,” I promised. I walked with him to a nearby park and pulled him to the center of the deserted place.

We laid down on the grass together and I pointed at the sky. “See the stars, Andre? They’re always there. Every night, you can expect to see them. And even when it gets shitty, they’re still there. They’re just behind the clouds. And I’m here for you. Every night, and every day. And when your life gets shitty and you want to cry, wipe your tears away and see me. I love you so much Aleixandre Ryan,” I said and kissed him deeply.

“You cliché…oh fuck it. I love you Pierce,” he whispered and roughly crashed his mouth to mine. I pulled him on top of me and placed my hands on his waist as we kissed. “I will never hurt you Andre,” I whispered and he smiled gently and rolled off me.

He cuddled up next to me and I wrapped my arms around him and held him tightly. He kissed me lovingly and rested his head on my chest. “I love you,” we both whispered at the same time, smiling softly at each other under the stars. It was a perfect night with a perfect boy.
