                Chapter 11

Behind closed doors Langdon asked what kind of War brought forth the massive creatures in the den. Any type of war brought forth the War wolves. A war wasn't something the wolf community took lightly. Alpha Blackwood had one of the largest packs in the community. Whoever was wanting to start war or whoever was attacking, who knew to take out first.

"Hey don't you dare worry. My father has many allies and will get many more."

There was doubt among the young lone wolf. He was not use to pack ways or how the wolf community works. Each day he was learning more; however he wasn't a part of the pack.

"Zero, how would I become a member of the pack?"

This excited Zero. Langdon had really never asked about being a full member of the pack. With the advice that his father had given him, he was allowing Langdon to make this decision. An Empathy wolf can't be pushed into joining a pack, they have to feel welcomed.

"Two ways. Since you're my mate, we would get married and you would pledge to us. Or just a pledge to this pack and the pack accepts you into the pack."

"Marriage?"

"The pack would see our union as a true union. Screw the human world."

This got Langdon thinking. After all they were mates; mates do spend their lives together.

"Children?"

"My dad says that I would be able to take a woman who has lost her mate. He also said there is May and June. Who probably would do anything we ask."

"You would sleep with someone else?"

"Not without your permission and! I would want you to have a child as well."

This took Langdon by surprise. He never thought about children. Time down the road, maybe. Right now there was War wolves, New York wolves and a creeping fear this will get worse before it will get better.

Most of all there was a mate kissing and tormenting the mark that was placed upon his shoulder. Growling Zero captured his lips, Langdon gasped. Giving opening for Zero to slip his tongue in so nicely. Making Langdon roll his eyes back. As Zero's hands moved down towards his stomach, Langdon felt every emotion driving the sensation. Causing him to send out more of the sexual lust vibe back. Being an empathy defiantly has its perks. Zero growled as he ripped off Langdon's pants. He couldn't help but to laugh. A large part of him enjoyed how dominate Zero was. He just wouldn't ever tell his mate that. With the look of pure lust in Zero's eyes, Langdon knew this would be a long night.

"Yeah, hold on he's coming." Zero held out the phone, "Your mother."

Snatching it, "Hi mom, how are you?"

As Bailey talked his ear off, he got ready for school. Moving a bit slower than normal. Zero really didn't let up last night. He had to talk to him about being gentler and stop letting his wolf play so much.

Speaking about what was going on at school. He thought that life was irritating. War wolves couldn't even get someone out of school. Zero pointed that he was going to go downstairs, he nodded. His mate did have a good heart, always gave him time to speak with his mom alone. He told her about the children at the pack house, causing a laugh out of her. Bailey always thought that he had a way with children. It must be his calming vibes. Children loves to feel love.

All of a sudden fear boiled from the pit of his stomach. Opening the channel the Alpha from New York was coming–Savage. Bailey asked what was wrong when she heard him gasp. Making up a lie, he forget that he had to be a school early for a project. Being the loving mother she is, Bailey sent quick kisses over the phone and told him to have a good day. No sooner than the phone call was ended he flung open the bedroom door.

"Zero" Running down the steps, "ZERO"

Zero came running to meet him, the Alpha and War wolves were standing around. The Alpha stepped forward sensing Langdon distress. Zero wrapped his arms around his frightened mate.

"Savage. Savage is coming. He's right out front."

Pulling him more into his chest, "Amber go get Zero's belongings for me. Then all three of you get in the car. I just parked it in the garage."

Amber ran upstairs.

"Listen, calm down. He can't hurt you here." Closing his eyes, "Block your fear for me."

Zero's claws began to extend, this fangs had started to grow. Fur sprouted along his arms. "Dad the War wolves." A deep growl came from him.

"Step back away from Langdon." Nathanial ordered. They obeyed.

He began to calm down, with his calmness Langdon began to calm. Tucking his head under Zero's chin, he whispered that he was sorry. Langdon whispered that he was sorry.

"Keep your eyes closed for me." Zero picked up his mate and started to walk out of the room, snapping for Amber to hurry up. He had to get Langdon out of here. Nodding to his father, Alpha whispered for the War wolves to take a seat. May and June were witnessed walking with Amber behind the future Alpha. Impressive that they knew not to cross Zero right now.

Using all his hearing, Alpha Blackwood was paying attention to the car in the garage and the Alpha outside his house. Zero could be waiting for timing or trying to keep his mate calm. With Savage right outside the house, Langdon was probably freaking out. Once he heard the car start up, Zero must have gotten the situation under control.

A text came through, 'Langdon's beast had to take over. Five wolves waiting with Savage. Confirmed by Langdon. One wolf is standing by the garage.'

Approximate a minute later there was a knock at the door. Remembering the words Langdon said, Savage hates different. This means that he if knows about Zero and Langdon, he'll hunt them. No true mate could ever be of the same sex. Vera came to answer the door when Nathanial snapped his fingers and pointed to the floor beside him. The knock came again. Another moment passed when Nathanial moved to answer the door. He ran on his time, no one else's.

"Why are you knocking on my door?" his voice wasn't kind at all.

"Why do you have my pup?"

"My territory."

Savage stood face to face with an Alpha that was slightly bigger than him. He sensed more wolves in the house. Watched a car load of younger wolves leave. Two more families on both sides of him. Two men were walking this way.

"Alpha," both chimed.

"My Beta's, Gregory and Daren."

Savage sighed in irritation. More of a growl like sound than a sigh. "I want my pup released."

"I want you out of my territory. You and your wolves leave I release the pup."

Savage glared at the Alpha before him, "The pup then we go."

"My turf, my rules. Leave I send the pup on he's way."

A low warning growl came from Nathanial, bringing the War wolves from the living room to behind him. Savage's eyes went into slits upon this actions. The man seen him as a threat? A cocky grin reached his face.

"I have business to attend here, I'll be gone in four days."

"Business huh?" Nathanial straightened his body more, "With whom?"

"Whom? Such a proper word for a wolf."

The man was taunting him. A wolf coming into his territory, making a mockery of the situation. Such a man deserves no respect.

"Conduct your business by the end of the today. Then report here. My War wolves will escort you out of the territory."

"Highly seems unfair. I have not caused any trouble."

"You were holding a man that tried to enter my territory, forced him to do you bidding. Fair? I decide what's fair."

Seeing that he wasn't going to get anywhere with the Alpha standing on his doorstep. Nathanial took in a deep breath, his beast fought to come to the surface. Quickly combining man and breast, Nathanial leaned forward.

"You are to remove yourself from my territory. I will not have you on this land. Wolves have all green lights to rip your pack to shreds." Jabbing his thumb, "Remove yourself from in front of my house."

Savage put on a smirk, straightened his jacket. "We'll be seeing each other again Nathanial."

At school Derek was watching the pack. He was to gather more information about the future of his pack. So far they were a very close nit pack. Even with those who would be consider as Omega's. Nothing like Savage's pack. Unfortunately, Savage knew of May and June thanks to another wolf. Once he realized who June was, he tried to stay away from her. He wasn't for sure if he would trigger a long lost memory. They did have a short past together. Once he found out that June and May was held by Savage, he's been playing on getting him back for harming a small free spirit girl like June.

When he woke up this morning, he did feel different. Like he was overlooking something important. With the way Savage has him going in different directions, he was losing his thoughts. His beast was gathering rage more than he could release. Life had gotten messed up pretty quick for him. He couldn't sleep like he needed to. His brother wouldn't be able to come for a while. All he wanted to do was to find a little brother. How in the hell was he to do this when he couldn't get himself straightened out.

A group of wolves officially crossed into Alpha Blackwood's territory. Sniffing the air, wolves just ran across this path. Thinking it would be smarter to be in human form than wolf. A light brown wolf dropping a duffle bag from his mouth, and began to shift. Once the stiffness wore off, each man snatched up clothing and began to dress.

The dark hair man looked around, fear was written on his face. The red haired man clapped his shoulder, "Come on, we need to move."

Has Savage been here?" the last man asked.

"I believe so," said the red headed man.

Each stuck close to the other. Eyes and ears were taking in all they could. Unfortunately the woods ended, revealing the town. Every time this happened they grew scared. Being out in the open can cost them their lives. More important the information they were holding onto.

Tightening his grip upon the jacket he wore, the red headed nodded. Stepping into the town, they were on high alert even more. Humans walked by them so freely. No worries about werewolves trying to rip them to shreds. Unlike them Savage had a price on their heads. He wanted the message that was guarded with each of their lives.

Up ahead a truck slammed on its brakes and screeched to the curb. The three wolves froze at the sight. Instinctively, they sniffed the air. A wolf was in the truck. A rather large man jumped out.

"Don't move, I will not harm you."

The wolves began to back up and bolt.

"I'm Alpha Blackwood, Savage's men are coming closer. I'm offering my protection all the way home."

Fear still caused them not to trust the Alpha. The red headed man tightened up his jacket, looked at his companions. "We are just passing through Alpha. We do not want any trouble."

"Then I suggest you trust me. I know about the message you are to deliver." Nathanial gave them space, he could see the exhaustion upon them. "Come with me I will see you home, your home."

"How can we believe you?"

"Savage is after members of my pack as well. I know he'll stop at nothing to get that message." he rubbed his forehead, these less dominate wolves were starting to add up against him. "I will not order you, however, I am offering my protection. Your time is running out, Savage men are moments away."

The red headed man sighed, "We are in his land."

Nodding their heads, they walked over to the Alpha. Showing respect, they showed their necks before Nathanial opened the truck door snapping at them to get in. Figures another harsh Alpha. Snapping for them to duck down, he went to the street. A growl rippled low in his throat. A car stopped right beside them.

"I told you about being in my territory!"

The wolves flinched. Savage's men was so very close, like right outside the truck.

"Savage sent us, we are to collect the pup."

"The pup will be sent has I stated, now get out of my territory. My wolves will see you out."

A dreadful feeling came over the cab of the truck, the dark haired wolf cringed at the sight he saw. A War wolf stood at the window. The other wolves sunk lower down in the seat as possible. Moments later the War wolf jumped in the bed of the truck, the Alpha opened the door. Scaring each wolf more.

"Don't be alarmed, you are safe now." They looked up at him. "I must be able to drive."

Slowly the light haired wolf sat up, Nathanial moved in. Mumbling about humans being nosey. The ride was silent and somewhat timely with traffic. Pulling down a street, the wolves noticed all the housing belonged to wolf families. Very few humans. However the human interaction with them was impressive. Their pack held no humans at all.

Pulling into a driveway, the house was homey. Large, yet a family home. A woman stepped out to the porch, as the Alpha smiled. Greeting the woman, Nathanial smelled her neck and planted kisses.

"This is my wife, Vera. These are the wolves in need of a helping hand."

She smiled over, "Welcome to our home. Come in inside I am working on dinner."

The wolves found themselves between the Alpha's and War wolves. Fear lingered from them into the house. Two boys had stopped moving from the living room. One automatically wrapped his arm around the other and showed his neck to the Alpha.

"Boys, could you get these three some fresh clothes and show them to the bathrooms. Looks to me they need some care, a good meal and sleep."

"Okay," the bigger guy walked towards them.

"This is my son Zero and his mate Langdon."

"Hi," Langdon smiled then it fell. The Alpha raised his eyebrows.

"Bailey called, they extended the trip for another three days."

"Sorry to hear that. Just remember once she's home things will change. She will become a member of this pack and not have to work so hard." Langdon nodded, causing the Alpha to chuckle. "Go on boys, these wolves need food and rest."

"Follow us," Zero led his mate away. His mate whispered something to him. "Yes that is rude." Zero looked back. "I apologize, my father has been a little stressed. May I ask you your names?"

The red headed wolf cleared his throat pointed, "Calvin, Romo, and I'm Judas."

"Pleasure to meet you," Langdon smiled. Calvin frowned at Zero tucking a protective arm around his mate. Zero growled.

"He misses his mate." Judas jumped in, "He's mate is also a guy. JD was supposed to meet us in the next town over."

"Did you say JD?" Zero's eyes narrowed, Calvin nodded his head. "Langdon would you call the pack house and have them bring over JD?"

Calvin's eyes lit up, "JD's here?"

"By time you're done with your shower he should be here." Calvin gathered the clothing and bolted into the bathroom.

"You would think a dominate wolf wouldn't act like that." Judas laughed.

Downstairs Langdon told the Alpha and his Beta's that JD was Calvin's mate. He was supposed to meet them in the next town over. Nathanial added one more to the plan, a mate was to return home with them. Vera was setting large portions of food out. Unfortunately tonight they won't be sitting down as a family. Her mate will be leaving, a sad day. Nathanial tucked an arm around her, kissed her neck.

"I will hate every minute away from you."

"Good, because when you get home I'm making you pamper me."

"With pleasure," he gave a low sexual growl. Causing Amber to wrinkle her nose. They forgot she was in the kitchen with her mother! Nathanial threw a dish towel at her, causing a laugh.

Freshening up, Judas looked in the mirror. This journey has seem to age him. Fighting and protecting his pack. Each man hadn't had proper food during the whole journey. Allowing them to become weak. Judas wasn't for sure how much longer they could have lasted. Rubbing his wary head, he needed to get to his companions. They after all were in the Alpha's home.

By time he reached the bottom of the stairs his stomach rumbled, reminding him how hungry he really was. With the smells lingering in the house caused his mouth to water.

"Alpha said to join him at the table."

Jumping at the sound of a man's voice. Judas looked towards the corner. The War wolf from the truck was sitting on a stool watching the street. The man gave him a wary smile before returning his attention towards the window.

"Thanks," Judas whispered. These War wolves were good. He didn't sense or see him.

Entering the dining room, he noticed that Calvin had his mate glued to his side. A smile fell upon his lips. JD made it, he was able to stay alive. JD's eyes lit up when he noticed him standing there.

"Judas!" JD brought a plate form his lap, "Come eat!" Calvin nodded his head in approval. The man was proud of his mate, a caring mate. JD couldn't hurt a follow pack member if he tried.

"Come sit!" JD motioned to the empty seat beside Calvin. Of course JD would be placed out of reach from others.

Judas made his way over to the oversized plate. The aroma's teased his stomach until it won by a fork full of meat entering his mouth. He closed his eyes to savor the taste. "This is good, Alpha." Almost forgetting that the Alpha was watching over them.

"Eat, hopefully there is plenty or I'll make more." Vera's voice was so kind and sweet. Judas missed their pack even more. He quickly sat down beside Calvin and spoke no more. The plate of food had all of his attention.

The Alpha and his War wolves were pondering over a map to decide what direction to take. Daren had offered his opinion. Savage's men won't be looking for them on the main roads. Everyone would think he'll hide those using back roads and woods. Combining a mixture of both, might keep them guessing. Nathanial thought he had a good point.

Three War wolves were staying around the pack. The pack was ordered not to shift unless it was Gregory and Daren. Protection would be amped up until the Alpha's return. There was no need for the pack to place themselves in harm’s way for unnecessary reasons. Children were to call the pack sons the moment they get home. Leave a message, no texting. A text wasn't checking in with the sons. Anyone could send a text. Voices had to be heard.

Secretly the Alpha had Langdon place the wary travelers to sleep. Unfortunately he also had placed a War wolf, Zero, Amber and Gregory to sleep in the process. Enjoying a good laugh, he told Langdon to let them sleep. Willow had joined her mate on the couch of the Alpha's home. Only after she cooed over how sweet and peaceful he looked in his sleep. By time she went to tell Langdon thank you for making him so relaxed, Langdon had already dozed off beside Zero. Soon everyone found themselves snuggling down for a nights rest. Nathanial had to remember to speak with Langdon about his ability. Even asleep the wolf could relax wolves enough to make them sleepy. All in all, dangerous.
