Albus' P.O.V
Scorpius came over again. I sat on his lap as I sketched. I was sketching a house. The House. I felt a hand in my hair so I jerked to the side.
"Sorry Albus." Scorpius spoke softly. "What are you drawing?" He asked.
"I-I'm sk-sketching a h-house." I explained.
"May I see?" He asked.
"W-when i-it's done." I told him.
"Fine. Wanna do something else though?" He asked.
"L-like w-what?" I cocked my head. I shifted in his lap. I looked into his beautiful gray eyes.
"Hmm like a snow ball fight or we could build a snowman...." He trailed.
"A...a-are J-James a-and L-Lily h-home?" I asked. He shrugged. "I-I w-want t-them to c-come o-outside w-with us."
"Okay." He nodded. He scooped me off his lap. He placed me on the sofa we were sitting on.
"James! Lily!' Scorpius called.
"Yeah?" They called together.
"Do you wanna build a snowman?" He called and then smirked.
"Be right down!" James yelled back.
"S-Scorpius?" I called and he looked down at me.
"Yes?" He questioned.
"H-how i...i-is R-Rose?"
"Rose?" He pouted his bottom lip. Bobbed his head side to side. "She's good I guess. Studying harder than I've ever studied before. D'ya want me to ask if she'd come over?" He asked. I blinked at him.
"I-I'd l-like to s-see h-her."
"Okay er... let me ask your mum if she can come over. It's not my place." He told me. I nodded. He left the room to where mum was. I picked up my sketch book. I sketched more woods around the house. I added all details, of what I remembered. I added the window. The one that gave me my freedom. "Okay!" Scorpius yelled. I jumped and smudged the paper. "Sorry Albie. Your mum said yes so I asked Rose to come over. Is that alright?"
"Y-yeah. I-I m-miss h-her. W-we w-were b...b-best f-friends."
"So I've been told." He sighed. "I'm your best friend now, right?" He smirked and I chuckled.
"D-definitely."
"Good because you're mine to." His face dropped to seriousness. "Just don't tell James." He whispered. I smiled.
"Y-your s-secret is s-safe w-with m-me."
"What secret?" We heard. James stood in the living room.
"Shush now Jamesie, it'll hardly be a secret if I go around telling everyone now would it?" Scorpius smirked as James huffed. "Besides my dear friend, you are a blabber mouth."
"Are not!" James defended.
"Are to!"
"Are not!"
"Are to!"
"I-I t-think y-you're w-worse t-than g-girls." I chimed in.
"Albus, you're supposed to be on my side." James pouted.
"I-I'm S-Switzerland." I told him. H rolled his eyes. He smiled playfully. Eventually Lily wandered down. We went outside in the back. That's where Rose met us. I hugged her tightly as she held me too.
"I-I m-missed y-you." I told her. She sniffed and held me tighter.
"I missed you too."
James's P.O.V
We settled into groups to see who could build the best snowman. It was guys vs girls and we had the advantage of having more people. However, Rose and Lily were really smart so they would probably put together a fantastic snowman due to geometric shape or some shit like it.
"O-okay f-first we n...n-need to b-build t-the b-bottom." Albus got down into the snow. He started to make a small snowball.
"How about we split it? I'll do the middle since you're doing the bottom and Scorpius can do the top." I suggested and I looked over to Scorpius. He was smirking so I glared at him. "What?"
"Nothing Nothing, it's just... I am always the top." He told me and I heard Albus giggled.
"Oh shut it you twat. Get to making the snowman." I hissed and he huffed. We got to working and Albus finished the bottom as I made a semi big ball. I placed it on the bottom and it went together well. Scorpius put the head on and it was too small. "You nit, it's too small."
"That's what she said." He told me and I glared at him.
"Scorpius!" I yelled and he sighed loudly.
"Fine!" He made the head a bit bigger. It made the head look lopsided but we kept it. We decorated it and then stepped back.
"I-it l-looks w-weird." Albus spoke up.
"Cause Scorpius here ruined it." I sighed dramatically.
"Did not!" Scorpius defended.
"I-it's o-okay S-Scorpius. N-not e-everyone c...c-can b-be a a-artist l-like me." Albus told him cheekily. Scorpius gasped playfully and grabbed Albus who gasped. He tickled my brother who let a surprised giggle.
"Ah not so tough are we?" Scorpius hummed and Albus laughed. I smiled at them and looked over to the girls. Their attention was gained but Albus laughing. In the excitement, Albus and Scorpius fell over into the snow. Scorpius stopped tickling Albus who was catching his breath from laughing. Albus was giggling still so I smiled.
"Alright guys and girls, let's see who won this competition." I spoke. Albus and Scorpius sat up but didn't stand. Lily and Rose looked over to ours as we looked at theirs. All of our mouths dropped open because the bloody thing was damn near perfect. They laughed at ours.
"Yours is lopsided." Rose giggled.
"That's because Scorpius is dumb."
"I am just merely snowman impaired." He told us and I scoffed rolling my eyes.
"Y-you d-did a g-great j-job." Albus told the girls.
"Thank you." They spoke in unison.
"What now?" I asked and I saw the gleam in Scorpius' eyes. "What?" I raised my eyebrow at him. He smirked and next thing I knew, he threw a snowball in my face. I gasped and quickly made a snowball. I meant to throw it at Scorpius but he moved and I hit Albus. Albus glared at me and then threw one square in my face. Scorpius threw one at the girls who squealed but played along. For at least an hour we were outside throwing snow at each other. We retired in the house where mum made us hot chocolate and sat us near the fire place with blankets. I looked at Albus who had grabbed his sketchbook and he was shakily sketching. I smiled because he looked so happy. However he was dozing off as he was sketching. He fully fell asleep in Scorpius' lap letting his sketchbook fall to the ground. Scorpius smiled and covered Albus more with his blanket.
"Scorp, what's he sketching?" I asked and he shrugged. He picked up the sketchbook and his eyes widened. All three of us stared at him
"Well?" Lily asked.
"It's a house." He told us. "It's the house he was kept in." He looked up.
"What? Let me see." I spoke thrusting out my hand. He handed me the sketch and I looked at it.
"It's in the woods it looks like by the shading. Deep in the woods. It's a cabin from the looks of it." He explained.
"How do you know this is the house?"
"What other house would he be drawing?" He asked. I looked to Lily who was looking at the house herself.
"We need to show dad." She insisted. "He drew the basement too. He's showing us instead of telling us." Just then, Dad came home and saw us.
"Aww all cozy?" He asked.
"Dad." I said and he cocked his head to the side.
"Yeah? What's wrong?" He asked. "You guys looked like you saw a ghost." I beckoned for him to come to us. He did and I handed the book. He looked at it and scanned it. He closed his eyes. "Albus drew this?" He asked.
"He was sketching it before he fell asleep. I don't think he's finished." I explained and he nodded. He gave me the sketch back.
"Okay, let him finish it. When he does, come back to me and let me see it. You understand, it's imperative that you give it to me." He told us sternly.
"Okay." We all agreed. He nodded before leaving the room. I handed the sketch back to Scorpius who put it back on the ground. We needed to catch this guy quickly before he did this to some other poor boy.
Albus woke up about an hour later. He was still curled up on Scorpius' lap when he looked up. The fire was still simmering and the empty mugs were forgotten. The girls went to Lily's room as the three of us stayed down there.
"Morning Albus." Scorpius cooed. "Did you have a nice nap?
"Y-yes." Albus grinned at the blonde. "I-I'm a b-bit h-hungry."
"Your mum said dinner would be ready in an hour. We're all staying and having a nice pasta dish with meatballs." Scorpius smiled. "But I'm sure she'll let you have a snack." He gestured for him to sit up so he did. I stood and helped him to his feet as we walked into the kitchen. It smelled amazing.
"Mum?" I spoke softly
"Hello boys, are you hungry?" She asked.
"Albus is a bit."
"C-can I h-have a f-few c-crisps?" He asked her and she smiled.
"Of course. Sit down and I'll give you bowl." She told him and we sat. Albus looked around like something was missing and then his eye widened.
"M-My s-sketch b-book." He told us.
"I'll get it." Scorpius offered and then sauntered out of the room. He came back with it as my mum was giving us some crisps. He handed it to Albus who thanked him and ate as he sketched. I looked to Scorpius and he glanced at the sketch. He turned back to me and mouthed 'Almost done'. I nodded at him and ate my food in peace. Albus put his hand down and then looked over the sketch. He scrunched up his nose and winced a bit. His eyes filling with tears, he turned to Scorpius.
"I-it's f...f-finished."

Later that night, I took the sketch from Albus' book. He didn't know but I needed to show dad so I took it. I knocked on the door to my parent's room before entering and my dad looked up from his book he was reading in bed.
"What is it?" He asked.
"I got what you wanted." I told him. I walked over to him and handed him the paper. He scanned it over before closing his eyes.
"Thank you so much James." He spoke.
"He doesn't know I have it." I explained. "Just... just give it to the detective, alright?" I pleaded and he nodded.
"I will James. I will. We'll catch this bastard soon enough." He told me and I just hoped that promise would be kept.
***In three chapter, chapter 16, you'll find out who kidnapped Albus. Any guesses?***
