Niall swallowed his final mouthful of cereal and put his bowl in the sink as the door bell rang. Knowing who it would be, his heart pounded heavily as he walked towards it. He inhaled a deep breath before opening the door.

"Hey!" Zayn's gentle voice said with a smile.

Niall said nothing but stepped aside to let Zayn in. The brunette leaned in to kiss him on the mouth and for a second Niall let their lips touch, then quickly pushed him away.

"Morning." Zayn said still smiling, brushing off the fact that Niall seemed a little strange and cold towards him.

"Hi."

"Guess what?" Zayn cried with a small bounce of excitement.

"What?" Niall asked as he shut the door.

"So, I checked with your parents the other day, and they said it was okay if you wanted to move in with me!" Zayn rambled gleefully. Niall's heart sank to the pit of his stomach. Zayn lived in Ireland away from his parents in his own apartment. He'd always said he was lonely.

"Really? I'm not sure if I-"

"C'mon Ni, you always said you wanted to move in." Zayn brought his lips up to Niall's ear and lowered his voice, "Imagine what we could do home alone."

Niall bit his lip, because he really didn't want to imagine such things with Zayn, "I don't know anymore Z." He said as Zayn pulled away.

"Ni, what do you mean? I already got you a key cut." The dark skinned boy said pulling a key on a keyring from his pocket and dropping it into Niall's outstretched hands.

Niall's lips curled up slightly at the sweet gesture, "Are you sure my parents said its okay?" The blonde asked, staring down at the silver coloured key in his hand.

Zayn grinned widely' "They said it was fine."

Niall looked up and immediately regretted the words that spilled from his mouth.

"I'd love to Z."

"Really?" Zayn asked beaming widely. Niall nodded and pulled Zayn in for a hug, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's neck and resting his head on his shoulder. And Niall knew he deserved to go to hell as he stared over his boyfriends shoulder realising what he had just said.

Zayn pulled away after a few long moments, "Get packing. I'll pick you up in a few days, that sound okay?"

"Perfect." Niall forced a stiff smile as Zayn kissed his cheek and opened the door, walking out and closing it behind him.

Niall waited a few moments, taking in deep breaths before harshly kicking the wall in anger. "Ow" He whined remembering his was only in slippers and his toe knocked against the hard wall.

He stormed up to his room and slammed the door, spotting a picture of him and Zayn together on his bedside table and violently knocked that and his bedside lamp on to the floor. A loud crash flooded the house and his brother came in.

"Ni what's happened?" He saw tears in his younger brother's eyes and rushed over to him, "what's wrong?" He asked pulling Niall into a hug in which the smaller boy gladly excepted. He gently sobbed into Greg's chest.

"I'm an awful person Greggy. Zayn asked me to move in with in him and I said yes"

Greg didn't know what to say and simply just held his brother tightly.

"You've either got to break up with him or forget about Liam now." Greg said eventually. Niall knew he was right. But how can he forget about Liam?
