Chapter 9: Day Eight (End)

I wake up, stretching my arms and yawning. Everything looks and feels so crisp and clear. From the songs of the morning birds to the vibrant green leaves of the trees from my window. A cool breeze flows in and makes me shiver, returning my arms to the warmth and coziness of my duvet.

Today's the day. The day I kill myself. The day I jump off the bridge and forget all the terrible things I've seen and felt.

I wonder if there's a life after death. Will I move on to another place, or just be gone entirely - nonexistent to everything and everyone? Will I feel pain afterward? What's going to happen?

You're not going to jump off that bridge, Kodie. You'll chicken out and get through life just fine with all the marvelous people you've met here.

No, it's time for me to go.

I look around and see that Andy's gone. After getting out of bed and pulling on boxers and a tee-shirt off the floor, I see a note on my side table. I read it, smile, and put it in the elastic of my underwear for safe keeping. It mostly just said that he had to bring his brother to soccer practice and that he'd be here at six to bring me to dinner.

I look at the clock and see that it's almost two in the afternoon. D*mn. How do I even sleep so much?

I head down stairs and find Loons watching TV. She looks sees me enter the living room and smiles creepily.

"Hey Dakota! How was your night?" she asks suggestively.

I roll my eyes and sit beside her, leaving a good two feet between us just in case she tries to touch me. "Fantastic. How about yours?"

Loonie sighs. "I don't think me and Della are going to work out."

"What? Why?" I face her and frown. She was head over heels about her not even a few days ago.

"I fancy someone else now." She grins at me. "His name's Louis and he's so s*xy, you don't even know. Oh god, just thinking of him ruins my panties."

"Loonie, shut up!" I groan and cover my ears. "I don't need to know about how wet your pants get every time you see someone hot!"

She sighs, "But he'd never like me. I think I'll just admire him from afar."

"Don't say that, Loons. You're wonderful! Anybody would be lucky to have you want them."

"I am pretty brilliant, aren't I?" She asks, jokingly.

I roll my eyes. "And so humble and modest too!"

She playfully smacks my arm, snickering to herself. Her Number flashes quickly (12/06/2015) and my throat clenches painfully for a millisecond. This only reminds me that I'm never going to be normal, to feel normal, to touch and interact with other people, other then Andrew.

I plaster on a fake smile and tell Loonie that I have to go get dressed. When I get upstairs, I go into the office and grab a few sheets of paper along with a pen. I take a seat at the desk and take a deep breath. I think I'll write to Luca first because his will probably be the easiest to write.

I stare at the blank, white sheet for a good twenty minutes before I pluck up the courage to start writing.

Luca,

At first, I wasn't even going to leave you a letter. But now I realize how important it is to let you know, I'm sorry. I'm so incredibly sorry. I didn't mean to get involved with your life, and I'm sorry for the way things went. We didn't even have a chance to become really good friends.

I'm writing to tell you what I won't be able to tell you in person. I don't know when you're going to die now. Maybe I really do have an ability, or maybe I'm just crazy, like you said, and it was just a lucky guess. I'm sorry about everything that happened with your dad.

I'm just so confused. You're the only person I've met who hasn't died when I saw, and that scares me. I'm sorry for everything, even if I don't entirely know what happened. And I'm sorry I wasn't brave enough to figure it out with you.

Make sure Andy's okay. -Dakota

I fold the first letter up and write 'Luca' on the top. Taking a shaky breath, I put it too the side and take another sheet of paper.

Loonie,

Since I was five, I've been shipped from foster home to foster home. The caretakers would get sick of me and how anti-social I was being until they just gave up and requested my social worker to take me to a new house with new people who didn't want me either.

I don't know how you did it, but you put up with me. Even if I haven't known you for long, I can tell how kind and determined you are. You took me in and cared for me like I was your own son. It took you a week to do what others have failed to do in months: to make me feel like I actually had not only a home, but a family. Thank you so much. It really made the past eight days bearable to have someone so loving and charming to keep me company and care for me.

Please know that its not your fault that I ran away. I can't tell you why I left, but I can tell you that you were definitely a good reason to stay. I'm sorry that I wasn't strong enough to do so, though. You're the closest thing I had to a best friend, a sister, and most importantly, a mother. Forever I felt like I was alone, and that no one would accept me, but you made me feel loved. I really do love you so much, and I'm sorry I had to leave things like they did.

Take care of Cleo and Andy. And please keep an eye on Luca. Live your life to the fullest, Loons. Life's short; go after Dells or Louis or who ever the hell you want! You're amazing. Let the world know that.

Love, Dakota

I fold Loonie's letter up in a similar fashion and scrawl 'Loons' on the top. I couldn't tell her that I was going to kill myself. That'd just tear her apart.

Tears are falling silently down my face now, but I just wipe them away and sit back. I don't want to say goodbye to Andy yet.

Then don't! You don't have to do this, Dakota.

I ignore the Voice and focus on how I'm going to say goodbye to the love of my life. Do I be sappy? Remorseful? Brief?

Then the Voice suggests the only good things it's said all day. Just be honest.

Honest. Right.

Andy,

I wish I was brave enough to tell you in person, but you'd convince me not to if I did. By the time you read this, I should be dead. I'm really sorry things had to go the way they did, but I wouldn't change meeting you for the world.

The first time I saw you, I was pulled to your beautiful eyes. I couldn't get you out of my head. And I hated it because I knew I'd never be able to have you, never be able to touch you the way I wanted to. Now, I know I'd never have the balls to say this to you in person, but I crave your touch; it's honestly like a drug to me. I feel warmth and serenity from every brush of your hand. My heart races and my mind goes fuzzy. My stomach erupts in butterflies and my breath catches.

You were my only lifeline; the only person that made me feel like I wasn't just some cursed freak. But no matter how much I love you, I had to do this. I couldn't take the pain of knowing when people are going to die. I couldn't take the pain of knowing and feeling how they were going to die. I planned to kill myself eight days ago, before I even met you. I'm not going to go back on that promise to myself now.

Please give these two letters to Loonie and Luca. They need to know that I'm sorry, especially Luca. But take extra care of Loonie. On a separate sheet of paper, I'm going to write the date of her death. You don't have to look at it, in fact I encourage you not to look, but I need to leave it behind, just in case. Please be strong, when I couldn't be.

I sob and lean back in the chair, not wanting to finish the letter. This wasn't supposed to happen! I wasn't supposed to make friends, family, love. I was just supposed to live life in peace for the next eight days, and then get rid of my worthless self for good.

But now its harder because there's people I just can't say goodbye to.

Then don't put them through the pain of losing you.

It'll be better than putting them through the hassle of dealing with me.

It's funny; when I first touched you, I saw us growing old together. We were graduating high school, holding hands, watching our adoptive children run around, and even dying happily together. I'm sorry that I couldn't give you that life. I don't know why I saw those images, or what they meant, but I was terrified after witnessing them. They scared me so much. It made me feel like I really was crazy. That maybe none of what I see is real. The Numbers. The pain. What if I am really insane?

I can't tell you your Number. I know you wouldn't want to know anyway. But just know that you're going to die happy, peaceful. Don't fear your death, like I fear everyone else's. I know that you love me, but you'll move on after I'm gone. You'll be happy and find someone else who'll love you just as much as I do.

This letter was supposed to be short, but I could never sum up my feelings of you in a short few paragraphs. I'm sorry to leave you so suddenly; we barely got any time together. But this is just something I have to do. I told Loonie that I ran away. Make sure she believes that. I couldn't lie to you like that, even if I wanted to (and believe me, I want to). I'm sorry that you're stuck with the burden of knowing that I willingly died. I don't expect them to recover my body, but if they do, do what ever you can to convince her that I fell - that it was an accident.

Please don't hate me. Don't hate me for what I did or why I did it. And know that I love you to pieces. I don't think I could ever say it enough times. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. Nothing you did or didn't do made me jump.

I love you.

Forever yours, Dakota xx

My sobs grow louder and my eyes are blurred with unshed tears. I squeeze my eyes shut and I can feel them run down my face, falling onto the paper. I try to quickly wipe it away, but it just smears the ink a little.

I throw my head into my hands and try to calm myself down. Once my breathing is back to semi-normal and the tears have stopped, I fold up Andy's letter and write his name delicately on the top.

On the last piece of paper, I carefully write 12/06/2015, fold it, and draw a pound sign on the top (#) so that Andy knows it's Loonie's Number.

Going back to my room, I carefully place the letters on the bed, Andy's on the top and the other three underneath. I step back and glance around at the room I've called mine for the past week. I step over to the trunk in the corner of the room and pull out a pair of light skinny jeans.

After putting them on slowly, I look down at the shirt I'm wearing and notice that it's Andy's. He must've left it here one of the nights he stayed over. I shamelessly pull the soft fabric up to my nose and bury my face in Andy's lemony, yet woodsy scent.

I choose to go out sweatshirt-less. I can barely remember the last time the public has seen my pale a*s arms (Loons and Andy not included). But it shouldn't matter today because I plan to go straight to that bridge - no confrontation with people whatsoever. Plus it's got to be at least ninety-eight degrees out right now, sun blinding and 75% humidity. Whoever said Minnesota was a freezing wasteland should go die in a hole.

Sulkily descending down the stairs, I greet Loonie and grab a Boca chik'n patty from the freezer, placing it on a plate and putting it in the microwave for a minute.

"Got any plans today? It's bloody hot out." Loonie uses her magazine as a fan, trying to cool off.

I grab the ketchup and mayo from the fridge only to see there's no more hamburger buns left. "Yeah, Andy's coming by today 'round six to bring me to dinner." I swallow hard, trying to ignore the pain I feel in my chest of knowing I won't see his face again. "Do we have any hamburger buns left?"

"No, I'll pick up more at the grocery store tomorrow; just cut the patty in half and use a hotdog bun," she says offhandedly. "I think I'm going to take a nap now."

I do so after the microwave dings and use a knife to spread the ketchup and mayo on the bun before placing both halves on. "Okay, cool. I'll be upstairs. When Andy comes, just tell him to come on up." I won't be there, but he'll find the letters. "Oh and Loonie?"

She turns around, looking at me expectantly.

"I just wanted to say thank you, for everything." I smile sadly at her and her indie faux-hawk.

"Anytime babes," she grins cheekily, "It's just buns though." Loons walks out of the kitchen at to her bedroom.

I walk out the back door and into the calming forest. Taking deep breaths of the over-baring humid air, I glare at the sun. I don't care if this is going to be the last day I ever see it; I'll always hate the sun. I quickly eat my fake chicken patty thing, enjoying my last meal.

A cicada sounds in the background while I walk, reminding me of when I was a kid. I used to think it was the sound the sun makes because it only happened on hot days. When I asked my father about, he promptly glared and smacked me upside the head, telling me to quit being a stupid brat.

When you die, does your whole life really flash before your eyes? I hope not. I really don't want to relive my life before my last peaceful moment.

Birds chirp and sing around me as I make my way to the highway through the woods. I follow the trail I discovered that one day when I thought I mutilated a squirrel. With that memory flashing in my head, my mouth automatically fills with the metallic taste of sour copper. The smell of a freshly opened carcass also wafts through my nostrils, making me choke from the sheer foulness.

Closing my eyes tightly, I repel all thoughts of death and blood. Maybe I truly am wrong in the head. I guess I could be schizophrenic, or even have chronic hallucinatory psychosis. Whatever. It doesn't matter now. I'm going to be dead anyway.

I pick up my pace and finally make it to the side of the highway. No cars are seen coming either way, so I walk alongside the road in the direction of the bridge.

I don't know why I haven't tried to kill myself before. The thought came across my mind, sure, but I never even self-harmed; I always chickened out. I better not chicken out this time, or I swear to god I'll go mad.

A car flies past me. I look up and spot the bridge about fifty feet from me. Speeding up, I allow myself a vindictive smile. Finally I can end it all. Finally I won't have to face people's judgmental eyes as well as their unpardonable touch.

I move to shove my hands in my pockets, but the crackle of a piece of paper makes me pause. Looking down, I lift Andy's shirt slightly and see the note I placed in the waist of my boxers this morning. I read it over, eyes damp.

Morning babycakes! Mom texted me, telling me that I have to take Nate to soccer practice. I had an amazing night last night. But it couldn't compare to just waking up next to you. Don't forget about me ;) I'll come around about six and take you out for diner. I love you, so much

Whatever cruel smile I had been sporting before has now vanished, turning into a trembling, pursed line. Oh my god. I don't think I'll be able to do this.

For the love of- Then don't! Jesus, Kodie! You have no need to do this. Stop being so rash and march straight on home, rip up those f*cking letters, and go have a happy life.

But you don't understand! I sob, placing my hands over my face. Andy probably doesn't want someone as screwed up as me! He'll probably be glad I'm gone so he doesn't have to watch himself break my heart.

Stuff it, bro. You know he's not like that. You know that he'd go to the ends of the earth just to please you. Stop being selfish and step off this bridge.

I shake my head, slowly at first, then with fervor - as if I can physically shake out the Voice that's rebounding through my mind. Just leave me alone. I'll do what I need to do. This is the only way to be free of everything; to never feel another Number again.

I don't care if I'm being selfish. Everyone'll move on without me. They'll be sad, maybe, but they can get over it. No one should be shattered over the loss of a boy they've known for eight days.

Stepping to the railing, I throw one leg over, getting ready to fall. As soon as both legs are over, I'm going to jump. None of that pause-and-reflect bullsh*t that you read in books and see in movies.

Just as I'm about to toss the other leg to the outside of the railing, a screeching car distracts me. I (stupidly) turn my head to see Andy running out of his badly-parked car towards me.

Oh god. Please not him. I face the meandering waters and start to push off the edge, thanking myself for not pausing.

"PLEASE!" Andy screams and I can't help but look over, tears pouring down both our faces. "Please," he says again, sobbing unashamed, "Oh my god. Dakota, don't. Please don't."

My heart's breaking with every tear slipping out of his glassy, beautiful, dove gray eyes. I didn't want to see him like this. I didn't want him to see me like this. Knowing that I need to jump soon or I'll end up being talked down, I slide closer to the edge.

"W-wait! You at le-least owe me a-an explanation." His body racks with cries.

Shaking all over, I slowly let go of the side of the railing, letting my other leg fall listlessly over the edge.

"I love you, Andrew." I say hopelessly as I feel my body slowly tilt backwards.

"NO!"

He lunges forward, trying to grab a hold of me, but I'm already detached from the bridge, from this world. My conscious spirit hurls out of my body as I free fall to my watery grave. Screams of my beloved echo in my ears, silencing even the rush of air roaring around me.

Breath stolen from the drop, I have no energy to gasp when my body strikes against the water. I just let my bones snap and shatter from the impact, feeling paralyzed in the numbing waves.

My lungs sink with water, making everything around me go black, body sinking, falling -

Down,

Down,

Down.

Until my last day is over.

~*~*~

Nothingness surrounds me. Which is contradicting, seeing as that nothingness isn't really nothing, meaning it's something. But I guess something always starts out as nothing; nonexistent until one day, it just appears - becoming something.

There's an unexpected ache in my chest, pounding, pounding, pounding. I know nothing, I am nothing. But my chest keeps burning, burning, burning. I don't know if I can take it much longer. I just want it to stop.

That would be the easy route, wouldn't it? To just make it stop pounding, burning, pulsing. But sometimes the easiest route is confusing. How do I stop it? How do I make it end?

I will it down. I make it slow sluggishly to a halt. I feel it cool. I feel it stutter.

But maybe the pounding is a good thing? Maybe it's a kind of reassurance, telling me that I'm something, someone, in a void of the something that is nothingness.

Willing it to go faster, it starts to beat steady. Warmth covers me instead of the burning or the coolness of before.

The pain returns, but this time enveloping my whole body. Wait, body? I try to look down to see if there's something there, when there wasn't anything before, but I can't move. I just let the nothingness take over again, not knowing who or what I am.

~*~*~

Prying my eyes open, I'm almost instantly blinded by the whiteness of the area. It takes my eyes a while to adjust, but I soon notice that I'm on a bed in a hospital room. Why am I here?

I panic and jab my finger into the emergency button, calling for the nurse or doctor or whoever the f*ck can help me. Only a few seconds later, a male nurse rushes in, sees me, and calls out the door for a doctor.

Trying to sit up, I'm gently pushed back down by my shoulder. I jerk away from his touch, noticing that I'm only wearing a flimsy paper gown and covered with sh*ty hospital blankets. I look around wildly.

"Where am I?" I spit at the nurse, surprise plastered over his chubby face.

"Dakota, you're at a hospital. We've just called in your legal guardian; she should be here shortly to explain everything."

I nod stiffly, ignoring his useless comforts and him walking around, checking my vitals. Legal guardian? I technically don't have a legal guardian; the state of Nebraska is my legal guardian. Foster parents just watch over us.

Trying to remember what happened, I close my eyes tightly and flex my sore muscles. Eight days, Loonie, Andy, jumping. At least I don't think I forgot anything. But then why am I not dead and why is my body perfectly fine? I couldn't possibly come out of a fall like that with out shattering a few bones.

Not even five minutes later, a hysterical Loonie bursts through the doors. Tears stream down her makeup-less face and her hair is impossibly long. Is she wearing extensions? How did her hair grow so long in such a short amount of time?

"Dakota!" She cries and rushes to my side, pulling me into a tight hug. I wince, my bones cracking from lack of use. Luckily she's wearing a big poofy coat so I don't touch her skin and feel the painful grasp of her Number. But why's she wearing a coat? Last I checked, it was almost a hundred degrees out.

"Hey Loons," I just notice how scratchy and low my voice is, "Why'm I here?"

She sniffles and takes a seat by the bed. "Y-you fell off a bridge." She sobs even harder, her British accent even more apparent. "I god I'm a horrid parent!"

Patting her back comfortingly, I whisper, "No you're not, Loons. It couldn't possibly be your fault."

"Well I'm glad you think so," she looks up with tear-rimmed, bloodshot eyes, "I hope you don't mind, but I kind of adopted you." If I had been drinking water, I would've spat it out. I look, shell shocked, at her sheepish smile and tear stained face.

"R-really?!" My eyes blur with salty tears. Jeeze, how many times can a dude cry in a few days?

No one's ever even considered adopting me. They always want the cute babies or the toddlers who aren't deemed 'unsociable' or 'paranoid'.

She nods, sniffling up the rest of her tears. I pull her into a tight hug, not even caring if I accidentally touch her. I don't, thankfully, but I make a sound of protest when my bones shift uncomfortably.

"Where is he?!" a shrill voice breaks down the hallway from outside the door. "Where is that son-of-a-b*tch?!" the same voice yells again.

Andy's vivid gray eyes flash when he clumsily skids to a stop right outside the door to the room. His face crumbles and he flies inside, jumping on top of me. I groan at his sudden weight, but am silenced by his wonderful, wonderful mouth.

His kisses aren't anything like before; they're not slow and sweet, careful and soft, sure and steady. They're hungry. Rabid. Like he's starving for me, for my taste. He kisses rough and fast, trying to suck the life out of me. It's like he hasn't seen me in months and now he's trying to make up for lost time, afraid I'll disappear again. But they still hold the key element of what his kisses use to hold: love.

I kiss him back just as feverishly. His tongue doesn't even ask for permission, just slides into my mouth, claiming me completely. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

After what feels like hours, but what was probably only a minute or two, we separate, heaving for air. Our hot pants of breath mingle with one another, making me dizzy. I flick my light, honey-hazel eyes into his lovely gray ones and that's all it takes for him to attack me once again.

I'm well aware of him straddling me, as well as Loonie sitting off to the side trying to discretely take pictures of us with her phone. Andy pulls back slightly when he notices my exhausted lips slowing down and begins a new onslaught of love. He kisses all around my face, not leaving one inch kissless.

While his skin and lips slide against mine lusciously, I feel the familiar tingle and warmth brought on by his touch. It definitely has not gone away. If anything, it's gotten even stronger, blowing me away with full force.

I lightly push him away, needing a second to breathe. He looks at me confused, then his face becomes livid, masked in anger. Tears flood his face as he smacks my chest roughly, crying out, "How could you do this to me, you a*swipe!? I f*cking cried every f*cking day over you!"

Loons coughs awkwardly and stands quickly, exiting the room. "I'll uh, just go get some tea from the caf."

Once she's gone, Andy smacks me even harder, actually hurting this time. "Ow, Andy! St-ow, stop it! Ow!"

His cries die out with his hits, becoming feeble and lame. "P-please tell me why you did it?" he asks quietly.

Hanging my head in shame, it takes me a few minutes to reply. It feels like I'm a little kid, his hand caught in the cookie jar. Like everything I did was childish, like an attention wh*re. "I'm sorry, Andy. I'm really, really sorry. But you don't know what it's like! Having to never touch anyone just because you don't want to know or feel their death. Feeling like a nutcase every other hour."

"And you thought that was the best way to deal with it?!"

"Well what the hell was I supposed to do, Andrew? Its not like I can f*cking turn it off! I'm terrified of going out to public places because I'm afraid I'm going to accidentally touch some innocent person and see a horrible death, then having a panic attack and being sent to another f*cking foster home because Loonie wouldn't want to put up with any of that bullsh*t! I was carted around from city to city just to try to find a home where they won't ship me off at the first sight of crazy on me!"

"You have that here," he hisses through his teeth, "Loonie would never do that to you! And I'd always be here for you! Why the f*ck did you have to freaking try to kill yourself? Why'd you try to leave a wonderful home with family and friends? Why'd you try to leave me?" Andy starts crying harder now, gasping for breath.

I pull him into a secure hug and rub his back soothingly. "I-I-I-I-" I stutter before swallowing and starting again, "I don't know." It sounds pathetic and weak to my own ears and Andy's sobs just grow louder, muffled against my chest.

After a few minutes, he calms down enough to breath shakily and lay down next to me. "How did you know?" I ask quietly. "How did you know what I was doing; I thought you were going to pick me up at six and find the letters then, after I had jumped."

He plays with my hair, still the same as it was before I jumped. "You didn't remember about my sixth sense, did ya'?" He smiles humorlessly. "I was at Nate's practice when I felt this terrible, horrible, unspeakable feeling of dread throughout my whole body. Now usually it's just a tickle at the back of my mind, or on my neck, but this was very different than usual.

"At first I thought it was something to do with Nathan because he was on the field, but then I just had this feeling where I knew it was you, that there was something bad going to happen to you. So I got one of Nate's friend's moms to give my brother a ride home after the game and I broke the speed limit getting to your house.

"When I found the letters," he sniffles and looks down at me sadly, "I didn't know how to deal with it. I just - broke down. But eventually my mind came back to it's senses and pulled my body up, rushed inside the car, and went to the only bridge within walking distance of the house. I saw y-you, but after you st-still jumped, I c-called 911 and they g-got there and y-you weren't br-breathing a-a-and-"

I bury my face into his chest as he starts crying again. But it doesn't last long and he soon makes me look at him. "Never," he starts harshly, voice cracking halfway through, "Do anything like that again."

Nodding, I let him hold me. "Hey, Andy?" I question after a few minutes of silence. "Why didn't I break any bones or anything when I fell?"

"You did." He looks down at me, confused. "They healed when you were in the coma."

My arms flail about as I almost fall off the bed. Andy catches me and looks at me, surprised. "I was in a coma?! For how long?!"

"Th-they didn't tell you?" He looks just as outraged. "You were in a coma for eighteen months - a good year and a half. It's January, 2013; you just missed New Years just a few days ago."

What.

I stare at him in shock, eyes round as the moon. I-I can't have been in a coma that long.

"Did y-you ever loose hope?" I ask, curious.

Andy's face turns into that of confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Like, did you ever think I wasn't ever going to wake up?"

His face softens and he carefully places a kiss between my eyes. "One time. It was last Christmas Eve and I had a really good feeling about it. When everyone came to visit you on Christmas, I stayed after, sleeping here the whole night because I thought you were going to wake up. But you didn't wake up; the doctors just detected brain activity, which was really good news, yes, but I had my hopes up all high for you to wake up. After a few days when you didn't, I lost all hope that you'd come back to me." Andy looks away from me sadly.

"I had another good feeling yesterday though. I think that's what really hurt the most - getting all excited and waiting in your room until midnight. I wanted to stay longer, but my mom wouldn't let me because I have work in the morning. But then Loonie called me at three in the freaking morning, shouting for me to get my a*s to the hospital; that you were awake."

I giggle as he kisses my nose lightly. "She's so stubborn."

"D*mn right!" Loonie cheers, probably waking the rest of the coma patients on this floor with her obnoxiousness.

Me and Andy laugh as she retakes the seat by the bed with a paper cup of steaming hot tea. It feels good to laugh. Like I'm finally being set free. No longer hiding away in the shadows, but fighting life full on.

Yet, I still can't help but wondering, why am I still alive? That fall clearly would've killed me. It's a miracle I'm even here.

I told you, Kodie-Kodes; it wasn't your time yet. Next time listen to me instead of going into a coma and making everyone around you worry. Our fate had yet to come.

I mentally sigh. Maybe he's right. Maybe I just need to do what I can to be happy - enjoy life. Enjoy life with Loonie. And Andy. Live for their love and love to live.

Shifting so that I can through my arm around Andy. I kiss his lips tenderly, desire coursing through my every limb. "I love you Andy." I breath out after I pull away, gazing into his mesmerizing dove gray eyes.

"I love you too, Kota-Bear." He kisses me chastely on the lips.

Loonie scoffs. "Wow, way to make me feel like the third wheel, lads."
