WARNING: THIS CHAPTER SUCKS.

"You had sex with him?"

"Wh- Wha- why- Huh?" I stammer hoping that I heard her wrong.

"So you did?" She asks,"oh my god were you impregnated with his baby?"

"Eew that's gross we were fourteen for the love of god, yuck! Gross- " I shudder,"How could you even?"

"Okay! Okay!" She says shrugging,"You said that I wouldn't believe what you did."

"Well, you believed that pretty easily." I say,"But no I didn't go that far."

"Oh come on the suspense is killing me!"

So on Saturday night promptly Jake arrived at my doorway.

"What?" I snap, looking at him. He looks at ease wearing black jeans and a tight fitting v neck.

And I checked him out several times but mostly because I thought I was dreaming.

He simply raises his eyebrow at my attire which is a plain tee and baggy pants.

"Is that what you are wearing to the party?" He asks.

"What party?" I mumble confused and sleepily.

"You FORGOT!" Rebecca exclaims and I wince.

"I had a lot in my plate okay, literally." I say,"Have you ever tried washing dishes of picky fourteen year olds, it's nasty,"

"But a hot guy like Jake asked you out to a party and you FORGOT?" She says incredulously,"What is wrong with you?"

"Hey, okay calm down." I say,"I'm sorry."

Rebecca simply sighs,"I really don't know how you got all the hot guys."

"I didn't get anyone." I say,"I just like them. They don't like me back-"

"Are you really kidding me right now?" She interrupts looking at me with an expression of shock and anger as if I had just told her that Orlando Bloom was ugly and couldn't act.

Like anyone would even say that.

I roll my eyes as I say,"I thought you wanted to know what happened?"

"Fine."

"Well, I had made a deal with the devil and there was no way he would let me out. I had half a mind to go back to my sleep and throw Alison to the dogs but I was too nice for that ....."

"Right, cause you were doing this for your friend." She says sarcastically and I glare at her as I continue.

"Okay god I'm ready." I exclaim coming out. I had made him wait because I didn't want Alison to know I was sneaking out with Jake Henderson.

I mean that would make me a total hypocrite after insulting him.

"Nice touch with the make up." He says winking and I make a face.

"When the hell did lipgloss become make up?" I say as he slowly leads me ahead.

It was quite dark and there was no one in sight. Usually most kids liked to stretch their curfew as long as they instructors didn't come for their rounds.

"Where are we going?" I whispered to Jake.

"Why are you whispering?" He asks out loud and I jump.

"I don't know cause it's dark and lonely and you are supposed to whisper?" I reply back in a whisper.

He starts laughing out loud and I glare at him,"If we get caught or kidnapped I'll make sure you get killed first."

He rolls his eyes and then whispers too,"Fine have it your way Car,"

"Will you stop calling me a car." I whisper annoyed by his stupid name for me.

"Okay Alec." He says smirking.

"Shut up." I say trying my best not to imagine how nice it would be to wrap him up in a meat flavoured sack and throw him to the wolves.

"Wow I didn't know you were that violent, Car." He tells me making me realising I had spoken out loud. Yet again.

"Why do even call me Car?" I ask, I mean come on he could at least give me a better nickname.

"Clara is too long." He states and I stare after him.

"Are you kidding me?" I say,"It's five letters and one more letter than your name."

"Yes, but still long." He says,"And besides I did get to know you for the first time in the car now didn't I?"

I halt in my tracks trying to figure out if it was genuine reason or just another taunt.

"Come on!" He says gesturing to move forward "we have almost reached."

I move forward and pretty soon I find myself in front of one of the cabin rooms but it's literally in the middle of nowhere and looks old. Despite that it's full of lights and music and people are outside doing what people usually do at parties.

"Why are we here?" I ask Jake who leads me towards the cabin.

His face darkens considerably but just then suddenly the same boy who with Jake in the cafeteria appears smiling. His name was Dale, I think.

"Jake." He shoves a red plastic cup into Jake's hand,"I thought you were never going to come."

He gives me a once over,"Do you want a drink?"

His voice is slightly suggestive as he holds the cup towards me. I know that there was beer in it but I remember one of the first rules Natalie had told me when we had gone to a party.

Fit in.

And the only way to do it was accept the glass that was being handed out towards me. But before I can take it, Jake slams the cup making Dale drop it.

"What the hell man?" Dale says and Jake rolls his eyes.

"Do you really think she is going to drink?" Jake says.

Now that angered me, I mean just because I like following the rules doesn't mean I can't have fun so out of pure impulse I grab Jake's drink and took a big sip almost emptying it. It was the first time I had ever taken anything remotely alcoholic and it tasted like a mixture of petrol, arsenic and chilli powder.

I managed to control my gag reflex and give Jake a mocking smile,"I do drink."

Dale grinned,"Wow, you got a real feisty one here Henderson."

He nods curtly as we head deeper into the house. I realise that this party mostly consists of sixteen year old campers and a few fifteen year olds maybe. I didn't look out of place because I was tall for my age and Jake in his black leather attire looked more intimidating then half of the people there. I followed them upstairs where it was much quieter.

"Henderson!"  A tall guy with sandy brown hair comes into our view. Just like Dale his first order of business is to scans me from head to toe. I kind of blushed because well he was hot and on top the smile he was giving me was really really cute.

"What's your name?" He asks me but before I can reply Jake answers,"Clara."

The boy gives Jake a puzzled look before he thrusts his hand forward and says,"I'm Harry."

I smile and shake it,"I'm Clara.. But you already know that."

For some reason I sounded a lot more confident and well, a lot more not like me.

I pause and Rebecca looks at me quizzically.

"Why did you stop?" She asks.

"It's after that my memories get hazy." I say slowly,"I drank a lot, at least five to six glasses."

"Wow." Rebecca says looking amused,"You partied harder when you were fourteen than when you are eighteen."

"Yeah well thats not it." I say wincing slightly remembering the hazy bits of the rest,"I'm pretty sure I smoked....Pot too."

Rebecca's eyes widened.

"WHAT?"she exclaimed her eyebrows shooting up,"You are kidding, you are fourteen and you are well Clara Wilson, I don't believe it, did you accidentally smoke it?"

"How can I accidentally smoke it?" I say,"But the thing is I went out of control at that party, Its like for the first time I wanted to prove that I wasn't the uptight little good girl who did everything by the rules. I don't remember it clearly but it was part of game we were playing. I think it was only dares or something but I think I was asked to kiss someone, I'm not too sure but is somehow ended up in me.."

I trail off and Rebecca looks at me with that same wide eyed expression.

"But that is not the end of it." I say,"I don't know how it happened, but Dale and I somehow thought it would be a good idea to learn driving."

"What?" She says again unbelievingly and I nod.

"I don't know what happened but the next I remember is the car going straight through the cafeteria with me behind the wheel and Jake's friend next to me." I say haltingly,"After that it's a total blank and I woke up in my bed in the morning just wearing last nights clothes."

"Oh. My. God." Rebecca says,"And you seriously call yourself good after that?"

I give her a look and she rolls her eyes,"I mean how did you even know how to drive a car?"

"I didn't." I say,"But I was there when Michella was getting her permit so I knew the basics."

"By all means continue then."she says and I simply sigh and say the rest.

The first that hits me in the morning in a migraine. It's like there is huge party in my head and I'm not invited to it.

I can barely open my eyes and I feel like a vampire almost being burnt by the sun.

"Alison, can you please close the curtain?" I yell in a hoarse voice.

The sound of her feet on the ground is magnified as she closes the curtain.

I dare to open my eyes again and Alison with her big glasses his curiously looking down at me. She helps me up and hands me a glass of water which I greatfuly gulp down. She hands me an aspirin and I swallow it almost immediately feeling better.

"Thanks." I say when I finally feel that there isn't a dead horse in my throat.

"No problem." She says and I wince slightly at her high pitched voice that feels like a ballerina on ice skates decided to take tap dancing lessons on my head,"I have a brother who is seventeen and he is about the same after a party."

I gently nod my head not processing a word she said as I slowly got up and made my way to the bathroom.

"So do I get an explanation as to why I had to open the door at three in the morning to see Jake Henderson carrying you."

"What!" Rebecca exclaims.

"That was exactly what I said." I reply.

"What do you mean carrying me?" I ask carefully.

"As in, carrying you in his arms and placing you on your bed and asking me to give you an asprin in the morning kind." She replies back.

"Jake? As in Jake Henderson?" I ask.

"Yes, same black haired hottie with green eyes." She states.

"And he was the one who brought me back?" I say still not believing what I just heard.

"Yes," she says,"I thought you didn't like him."

I think about how he slammed the drink out of Dale's hand and I crinkle my nose as I say,"I still don't."

She rolls her eyes and I wonder what would have happened if I had just sucked it up and given her number or asked her to talk to him maybe she would be the one with the hangover.

"So do you know about  the car that is currently parked inside the cafeteria?" She asks and I halt.

Crap, it wasn't a dream. I did remember the hazy details but I really didn't think it was true.

"Parked inside the cafeteria?" I asked making my way towards the bathroom so that she couldn't see my face.

"Yeah couple of kids thought it was funny to take one of the instructors cars and drive it through the cafeteria and completely ruin it." She says,"The instructors are assembling us all together and talking about it."

What did I expect? That I pull this crap and there would be no consequences? I had to come clean in the assembly or whatever gathering. It was the right thing to do. I was such an idiot to do something so reckless and go so out of hand that I can't even remembering what's going on.

By the time I get out of the shower it's already time to go and I still feel light headed but I quickly change and make my way to the auditorium. I am already preparing myself to face the consequences and I am trying my best not to imagine how my parents would react to this. Sure enough they weren't there ninety-nine percent of the time but I was almost hundred percent screwed.

I stumble on the road and I almost trip and fall on my face but someone grabs me by the shoulder and steadies me.

I turn around to thank but when I see Jake I quickly shrug of his hands and snap,"What?"

He looks at me with a cool expression not betraying one emotion as he says,"Some hangover you must be having."

I turn around and march ahead trying my best not loose it as I say,"Yeah no thanks to you."

He grabs my hand and jerks me back. He gives Alison a quick smile but is enough to melt her heart as he says,"Can you give me a moment with her?"

She nods and bounds up ahead and I see my last hope to get out of a conversation with Jake right now disappear.

"What do you want?" My tone is icy and frankly scares me too but it has zero effect on Jake who looks at me his green eyes hard.

"Are going to own up?" He says quietly.

"Of course, it's the right thing to do." I say.

"You crossed the it's the right trying to do line yesterday night Clara." He says drily and I find myself feeling angrier.

"It's your fault anyway."I say,"I cannot believe I got so careless and stupid."

"Yes, I am aware of that." He says,"I saw the complete aftermath of your reckless choices."

"And it's the right thing to do by coming to terms with it." I ignore him as I head out towards the auditorium which is almost full.

I spot Harry in the crowd who on notices me and wolf whistles. He then points several of his friends in my direction who wave frantically at me. I have no idea who the hell any of them.

I spot Alison who has saved a seat for me at the back.

"Trust me Clara." Jake says slowly,"You broke the rules yesterday anyway so just keep your mouth shut this time will you?"

I somehow had the feeling that he wasn't only talking about this. He turns around and walks ahead before I can protest so I quietly take my seat next to Alison.

"What was that all about?" She asks me.

"I have no idea." I say truthfully.

Before she can say anything the head instructor who had briefed us on the first day comes on stage.

"In all my years being in this summer camp I have never seen such irresponsibility."

He starts the speech and I know it's going to be a long one. His annoying and loud tone is enough to make my headache worse. He goes on for at least forty minutes putting emphasis on how irresponsible it was and how there would be sever punishment along with thousands of dollars worth of compensation.

Well, it's a good thing my parents are rich.

When his long speech is over he takes a deep breath.

"Now whoever did this I am giving them a chance to own up or whoever knows anything about it should come forward now and I will appreciate you being truthful, otherwise the consequences are much worse."

The instructor looks scary and truthfully I want to take Jake's advice and keep siting but I know I have to do and own up.

But before I can do anything a voice from up yells out,"Frankly people should thank me for destroying the poison you people have been passing out as food."

Everyone snickers and sure enough it's A familiar black haired boy is standing four rows in front of me and I bet you he is smirking.

What is Jake doing?

The head instructors lips tighten as he says,"So are claiming responsibility that you were the one who did it."

"Claiming it?" He says,"I am proudly announcing it. I could have chosen a better car though, I mean an Impala? Really I did you a favour now you can go buy a car that actually is a car."

For a second everyone holds their breath looking at the instructor and how we were going to react. But before he could explode Dale stands up and says,"I am not letting you take all the credit for this."

All eyes turn towards him but mine are fixed on Jake. He quickly turns around and gives me a small shake of his head and turns back as the commotion begins.

To most people the shake of his head could mean a lot of things but to me the message was loud and clear.

Let me handle this.

"Oh em gee; He took the blame for you." Rebecca exclaims.

"That's what I thought, but when it comes to Jake nothing as simple."

Well, they got dragged to the administrative office and the entire hall was buzzing. The entire way back I feel guilty and that is ridiculous because it isn't even my fault that  he decided to own up. Why did he anyway? The wisest idea was to just go to my room and forget about this but I know I couldn't do that, I couldn't let Jake take the blame for something I had done.

"Hey Alison,I just need to check something related to the business class  project I have, so I'll see you later?" I say and she nods.

As she disappears I go to the administrative building where they had been taken,I stand outside hesitantly trying to figure out how I was going to get Jake away so I could talk to him. I go over my options quickly and enter the building. I take my phone out of my back pocket and rotate it in my hands. Since today was  a sunday we had our phone for a day. I take a deep breath in and burst in.

The lady siting behind the desk looks a bit startled but she quickly recovers and says,"Yes darling?"

"Oh, hi I'm looking for one of the boys, Jake Henderson?" I say,"I'm a family friend of his and his mother has called me she wants to speak-"

"Yeah, sure he is there." She interrupts pointing to the door. I am surprised about how easy it is to meet him. I thought he would be under lockdown or something. I slowly open the door to see Jake and Dale siting on the couch opposite to our business class teacher who is reading a book.

"Clara?" He asks puzzled and Jake turns his attention towards me.

"Yeah.." I say,"Jake's mother just called and I need to give him a message."

"Thats funny we just to talked to her and she is on her way."He says looking at me.

I stare gap mouthed at him trying to think of an excuse but Jake saves me,"She is my mother she must have something personal to say to me and clearly poor Clara here was a messenger."

The teacher gives him a look and then gives a slight nod and Jake grabs my hand goes into a room that is empty.

"What the hell? He says,"What are you doing?"

"Are you seriously asking me that?" I whisper yell,"Why did you take the blame? "

There is an unreadable expression on his face as he says,"It was a win win situation. I got a one way ticket out of here and you get to retain your good girl reputation."

"Yeah, but this was my mistake Jake and I cant let you suffer for something I did." I say firmly,"I am going to tell them the truth."

"No, you aren't." He growls and I step back.

His eyes widen and he sighs,"I am sorry but look Clara just trust me this once. This is good for the both of us. And it is my fault you were in the party anyway."

I look at him carefully  There was another reason why he was doing it but I knew arguing with him was useless which is why I decided to draw up the white flag,"Fine, but you know you don't have to do this, you know that right?"

He shrugs,"I have got into worse situations and frankly she wasn't really surprised when she heard. These duds in camps are really stupid anyway, Trust me. Plus I hate this stupid camp anyway"

"I ship you guys so hard." She exclaims and I roll my eyes,"It's hard not too. But I have a question. When you had told us about camp you had told us that Jake had mixed dye in your shampoo and the super short shorts you had to wear because of the itching powder?"

"Yeah, I was getting to that." I say,"But basically what happened after that was when Jake's mother arrived she got them to keep Jake in the camp and trust me that was his biggest punishment. He was obviously under complete curfew and guess who was the fellow camper who was in charge of him."

"You have got to be shitting me!" She exclaims,"How did you get that lucky?"

"Well, they wouldn't allow girls usually but as usual everyone thought I was too good to do anything wrong."I reply.

"And of course you didn't."Rebecca states.

"At first no." I say,"I mean I never did anything usually girls and boys would do when they are alone in a room kind of thing. But after the incident I was even more careful and I did become friends with Jake and tried tolerating him to the best of my ability. I guess that is because I felt like I owed him something. But then one day we got into a huge fight and it was something to do with blondes. I mean I found it really offensive that he thought that all blondes are stupid. I mean I'm not stupid. But then we got into an argument about red hair and he thought it would be funny to turn me into a red head cause I was hot headed."

"Really, over an argument?" She says,"That's pathetic."

"Well in his defence I was wining." I say,"But well let's just say I wasn't too happy being a red head and I kinda sorta took his phone and asked a couple of girls out on a date. Poor thing attacked that night."

Rebecca simply sighs.

"But basically that sparked an entire prank war during camp and it was absolute mayhem." I continue,"The instructors tried to stop it but there was really no point."

"What pranks did you pull?" Rebecca asks curiously.

"Instead of Nutella I put mud in one of the girls sandwiches who was seriously pissing me off." I state and her eyes widen.

"What?" She says and I nod.

"I changed a lot over the summer." I say,"I had a lot of fun. A lot as long as I didn't get caught."

She laughs.

"Wow who knew you were secretly a rebel?" She says raising her eyebrows up and now it's my turn to laugh.

"Yeah but that only happens when Jake is around." I state,"I don't know how or why."

"You guys are made for each other." She states and I glare at her.

"Can we please not go through this all over again?" I say and she shakes her head.

"No I'm sticking by what I have said." She says,"You guys are purrfect."

"Let's see if that changes when I tell you the last part of the story."

"Are you seriously doing math?" Jake asks me and I glare at him.

"Yes, any reason why you are in my room right now?"  I almost spit out, maybe I should not have taken out my anger on him but right now he was bothering me and I was seriously not in the mood.

"What's got your panties in a twist?" He asks and I roll my eyes.

"What do you want Jake?" I say trying to focus on the math sum.

"Everyone is gathered trying to put together something for bonfire night." He says slowly.

"Great, I don't care." I snap.

"It's because of your parents isn't it?" He says and my head snaps up,"They haven't even called once or anything."

I am still for a while before I turn around and face him,"How do you know?"

"I notice things Clara, I'm not blind." He says,"Like I have noticed the fact that every Sunday when you get your phone back you start doing your friends math homework, which I have noticed you only do when you are upset."

I stare at him gape mouthed,"Wha- how?"

He gives me a small smile,"Clara like I said I am not blind."

"Seems like you're the only one." I grumble.

"Well, my observation skills are brilliant anyway." He says,"I also know that you write in a diary."

My mouth drops open once again,"Are you stalking me?"

"You wish Car." He says and my heart flutter slightly,"I can see a book titled Diary very clearly in front of me."

I roll my eyes and snatch the book off my desk and put it in my drawer.

"What were you expecting that I would be letting you read it?" I say raising my eyebrows.

"Well, one can hope." He says and smiles,"Now if you have finished feeling sorry for yourself do yourself a favour and get your ass out of here."

I reluctantly get up and he smirks as he sees my shorts.

"See you had to change your wardrobe style a bit." He says smirking.

"Yeah thank you very much." I say referring to the fact that he completely ruined the rest of my clothes which left me to wear Alison's clothes until laundry day that comes only on Sunday. For the entire week I had been wearing her clothes and today I had finally given all of my clothes for washing.

"I bet he just wanted to make you wear short clothes so he can check you out." Rebecca states,"I mean you do dress like a nun."

"Hey!" I exclaim,"I do not dress like a nun."

"Yeah keep telling yourself that."Rebecca says and I just sigh.

"So over the next few weeks we went back to the our usual routines."I say,"Jake's prohibition had finally been loosened and I didn't really need to keep tabs on him anymore. I mean not that I did a great job anyway. We started to prepare for the thing we had to put up during bonfire night. It was kind of a modern fairy tale-"

"Lemme guess you were the princess and he was the prince who had to give you a true loves kiss."

I snort,"No I was one of the stepsisters."

Rebecca started to laugh and I joined her.

"Oh my god." She said,"How could you be one of the step sisters?"

"Well, all I really had to was whine and shout so I simply imitated Michella to the best of my ability." I say.

"You as an evil stepsister is ridiculous." She says,"And I didn't know that you could act either."

"I agree" I say, "But yeah Jake was the prince and all the princess wanted to do was rehearse the kiss scene."

Rebecca started to laugh.

"All my role consisted was making faces and dance with Jake once but it lasts for about two seconds"

But the real interesting thing that happened was two weeks before bonfire night.

"Clara."  I look at Alison who is standing in front of me. It's about eleven in the night and I raise my eyebrows up as she stands in front of me,"There is someone at the doorway."

Before I can guess who it is Millie runs inside and I get off my bed and start rubbing her on her thick fur,"Whose a good doggy? Who is a good doggy?"

I use that retarded voice that most people use when they are talking to their pets or babies and jake walks in making a face.

"If you are done raping my dog can you come out?" He says and I stare at him and mutter and unintelligent,"Huh?"

"Millie has been dying to see you." He states,"I don't know how but I guess she really did enjoy your big lecture on your love-"

"Fine." I interrupt glaring at him and standing up,"Let me change."

"You look fine, just come on." He says and I sigh and follow him out. It's a cool night proving just how close September was. I don't know why but just going home after camp left me with almost a sick feeling in my stomach.

The first thing Millie did was bound ahead and I ran after her. We never had a dog because Michella did not like dogs at all. Natalie used to have an extremely cute dog called Sparkles and I had wanted a dog ever since, but when Sparkles died the loss was so terrible that I didn't want a dog after.

I threw a stick as far as I could and Millie bounded ahead after it. I stopped to catch my breath, while Jake beside me looked completely at ease and hadn't even broken into a sweat. And I had actually wondered why I was flunking gym.

"I'm hungry." Jake says out of the blue and I can't help agreeing with him.

"I would kill for some junk food right now." I say nodding my head.

Jake takes his phone out and I stare at him shocked,"How do you have your phone? It's a Thursday."

Jake rolls his eyes,"I am a very resourceful person and most importantly I do no follow the rules. Aha I knew it!"

"Knew what?" I ask throwing the stick.

"There is a Mac Donald fifteen minutes away from here." He says and my eyes widen.

"You are kidding me!" I exclaim forgetting all about Millie who was gently nudging my leg with her stick.

"We have got to go."He says and I step back shaking my head.

"I- I can't Jake." I say,"We will have to sneak out of here and the last time I broke the rules you saw how badly I screwed up and you are already into shit."

"Clara." He says putting his hands on my shoulders,"It's been more than a month since that happened, get over it will you. And I doubt they can do anything because lets face it a couple of kids sneaking out for junk food won't really get us into trouble."

"And I hope you realise that I am talking to the supposed good girl who put mud in someone's sandwich." He finishes.

I look at him and finally raise my hands up in defeat.

"Fine, my craving for junk food triumphs." I say,"But I have absolutely no money."

"It's on me."

"We came back at about two in the night after fooling around and eating more than we could possibly eat. After being deprived of junk food for almost three months it was like heaven. We had to scale a small wall to get out and both times I tripped and fell and poor Jake was the one who became my landing pad both those times. He didn't mind though. We actually talked for once instead of arguing. He told me about Millie and how he got her ten years back and I told him about my sister. I actually had fun and by the time I came back at night I was in an unbelievably good mood. I couldn't help but compare him to the boy I had seen back in New York."

"That was the day that I actually sat down and wrote everything I knew about Jake Henderson in a completely new diary as my older one was somewhere deep inside and it was over anyway."

"Is that why you remember everything so well?" Rebecca asks and I nod.

"I read it." I say,"the week he came back."

"And how many times since." She says slowly and I know I have been caught.

"Twice." I say slowly and she slowly nods her head as if gesturing me to go on with the story.

"After that we talked a lot. We argued too but we started hanging out nit because we were forced to but by choice. It was all okay until the last day. During bonfire night. For some reason everyone was taking it seriously. I mean we didn't have to wear costumes or anything but everyone was nervous. We had to sit through the twelve and thirteen year olds performances but after that it was our chance."

"Nervous prince charming?" I say jokingly to Jake who is currently pacing up and down. He jumps slightly when he notices me and guilt is clear in his eyes.

"Nah. Why would I?"He says fiddling with a book in his hand.

I shrug,"You seem like it."

He manages to give me half a smile before we are called to our places. Just as the first scene is about to start Jake steps up and makes an announcement.

"So we have two parts the first part will consist of something I'll be reading out loud and the next part will be a lame play that the instructors have forced us to put up, so enjoy."

I raise an eyebrow as to what Jake was doing and then I see that he is opening a book with diary written in a neat handwriting.

My handwriting.

I genuinely don't how much he read or what he read because all I could think of was how glad I was that he took this book and not the one about him. A lot of people laughed and then the next thing I knew I was on stage playing Cinderella's step sister. It was such a blur that I didn't even realise that I was reciting my lines until the dance scene.

In our version of the play the ball was a school dance and prince charming was basically an extremely popular guy. Right before the princess comes in I was supposed to be dancing with him and when he sees her he just pushes me aside and asks her instead. So when the scene started I finally jumped back to life trying to process what Jake had done.

That night when we had gone to Mac Donalds his friends had taken my diary because I wasn't there in  my room and Alison was happily distracted by Dale.

I miss my cue to go up to Jake and ask him for a dance so he is forced to come towards me and offer his hand. He has a slight bit of guilt in his eyes as he says his lines. He puts his arm around my waist and I purposely take it off my waist even though that was the exact opposite of what I was supposed to do.

The light then goes off us and for a minute we are in complete darkness. It's the moment before the princess who is a high school nerd's entry and it is the moment where the prince sees her for the first time.

"I'm sorry." He whispers and then the light is back on up.

This was supposed to be the moment of the play when he two lovers saw each other and had a connection. But prince charming wasn't looking at the girl, instead he pulled her step sister into a kiss.

He pulled me into a kiss.

Now if someone asked me what I had imagined my first kiss to be like I would have immediately said Alec after a romantic date, but yet here I was standing in front of three hundred people with Jake kissing me like it was some show. I froze for a couple of seconds but I pushed him off me when I came back to my senses.

"Get off me." I more or less screamed and headed towards the exit where the shocked main character was standing looking at me.

"You know instead of leaving your shoe, please throw it on his face while you are running away." I say loudly and exit.

Rebecca looks at me quietly.

"We won." I say softly,"Everyone thought it was a fabulous plot twist."

"And he never came and explained?" She asks.

"There was really nothing to explain." I say,"It was all a bet and I overheard everything between him and Harry. First bet was which group would win and the second bet was on me, if I would kiss Jake or not or would he be able to kiss me."

'No one really had a chance except Jake." Rebecca says.

"Which is why he was the one had made it." I say.

"I didn't talk to him at all after that."I continue,"Not a single word.Even when Millie died when we got back to New York."

"The dog died?" Rebecca asks and I nod.

"So thats about what had happened in camp." I finally finish.

Rebecca sits silently for a few minutes before she finally speaks up,"I can't believe you forgave him or for a matter of fact you guys can even talk to each other."

"It was almost four years ago." I say,"And I got over it soon mostly because I never really accepted it. The minute I came back I was again too busy with Alec too care or even think twice."

"When Jake came to town that time all I could really think was that he doesn't tell Alec." I say,"Thats about it. Then he gave me back the diary during homecoming but I didn't want it. I had learnt my lesson with keeping diaries."

We both sit in silence for a while as I try to digest all the memories that have resurfaced.

"I think you should talk to Jake about this." Rebecca says in the end,"If you don't then you will keep denying. The bad as well as the good."

"Why talk about something that happened four years ago?" I say,"Its -"

"What happened between you guys wasn't stupid, Clara." She says,"And you don't accept it. I think you both need to confront this and then move on instead of being a bunch of fourteen year olds."

"I'm over it." I say,"I mean it was just a petty kiss and-"

"It was your first kiss." Rebecca says,"And I know how important that is trust me it hurts especially when you have it someone like Jeremy who ditches-"

Just then her phone rings and I know its Jeremy by the way her face lights up.She gives me a look and I get up.

"Well, I'll leave you to it, I better be getting home." I say as I head out of the door.

"Oh and Clara really do talk to him and ask him for an explanation I think he owes you that much." She says,"It would be sad to loose what you guys have just because immature fourteen year old you's messed it up and we are not done talking about this."

She picks up the phone and I think about what she said and I know its true. It's about time to clear things up with him.
