My friend closed his math book and sighed as the bell rang. Although I tried to help him, it seemed he would probably need the teacher's help. I patted him on the back and said,

"It's alright man. You can get some help from the teacher. I'm not very good at explaining this stuff, anyways." I said and smiled at him. He nodded and sighed again.

"I will. Thanks for trying to help me, at least." He said before walking off to his locker. His class was further than mine, so he needed to leave before me. I walked inside and headed to my locker. I needed my English stuff. I sure hoped Kizumi hadn't lost any of the papers we needed for the project board. Memories of the last time we worked on the project board flashed through my mind. It was scary how he reacted when I touched his arm on accident...but that was the first time I had ever seen Kizumi blush. Now that I thought back on it, it seemed kinda cute.

That was funny. Kizumi, cute? No...he was terrifying...when he was angry anyways. Then again, he did always have a sinister glare on his face. If he had to have a signature face, it would probably be that glare. I couldn't understand how someone could glare so much and not have their face permanently stuck like that. I shut my locker and began to turn when I noticed Kizumi just coming in the doors to my right. Seems how we were both headed to the same class, I waited for him. Kizumi saw me, and when our eyes met, his expression dropped into a combination of irritation and what looked like slight embarrassment.

As he got closer, he started to glare, as usual. I stayed where I was though, not backing down from his glare that I had grown so accustomed to, waiting for him to get closer so I could walk with him. Once he did, I kept pace with him. Before I could open my mouth to say anything, Kizumi spoke.

"Don't walk with me." He muttered angrily. I was bit confused for a moment and then looked up at him. He stared straight ahead, almost seeming like he was forcing himself not glance down at me.

"...Why not? We're going to the same place anyways." I responded, still walking by his side. He clenched his hand on his backpack strap and picked up his pace a little, letting out a small sigh of frustration.

"Oh come on." I said as I tried to catch up to small amount of distance he put between us. "Don't be like that." He stopped in the middle of the hallway suddenly and I nearly smacked into him. He turned around and stared at me furiously.

"Will you just quit it?" He sounded desperate. "You're so damn annoying." Before I could respond, he was walking back down the hallway. I stayed behind him this time, not wanting to test his patience. That was a bit more rude than he usually was towards me...had I done something to make him angry?

Oh, that's right. I had called out to him earlier that day...but was that enough to make him mad? How was I even sure he was mad at me? I'm sure he would have done much worse if he had been truly angry. I sighed and I stared at his back from behind as I walked to English. His fist was clenched at his side. Maybe he was having a bad day, and I made it worse. No...Kizumi wasn't really acting any different from usual.

He treated others much worse, so I should have considered myself lucky he only called me annoying when he could have knocked me out right there in the hallway.
