enjoy enjoy enjoy my lovlies!!!!! I'll fix this up when i get home but for now here we go!!!!
The most gorgeous Lee on the side>>>>>> check him out! HOWL!!!!
The clouds above looked detrimental. I needed to get to the hospital quickly, it was late and my family needed me now more than ever. I looked down at my watch; 7:30pm. I had to lay on the speed. Street lamps ran alongside me as I ran down the footpath on the main road. Cars whizzed past with their headlights guiding their way. I'd left everything at my mate Josh's house so I could get there is time. There was no doubt Lee would be ringing my phone like crazy and pissing Josh off, because I’d left my phone there, but he'd have to deal with it. I skidded around the corner of the street and crashed through the doors of the hospital. I rushed up to the desk and banged on the counter to get the receptionists attention. She looked at me startled and almost dropping the file of paperwork she was holding.
“Can I help you?” she asked me, abashed.
“Viviana Dayton,” I urged.
“Fifth ward,” the receptionist replied.
“Thanks,” I said and rushed down the hall. I counted the rooms as I passed down the classic white passageway. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5! I burst through the door. There in the small room were my family. My mum was on the bed, her thick black hair wet to her face and her normal green eyes drained from stress. Dad was beside her holding her hand as he sat on a complimentary hospital chair. He was wearing his work uniform underneath his hospital scrubs, and his face mask was pulled onto his head to cover his thinning grey hair. Lee, my twin, stood on the other side of the bed leaning against the wall with his arms crossed across his chest. His dark hair falling in our identical blue eyes.
“You're here,” mum cried, a broad smile covering her face.
“Finally,” Lee muttered. I stepped further into the room and then I saw it. In mum's arms wrapped in many blankets was a little baby, my new sibling.
“Come meet your little sister,” dad urged me forward. I smiled and came over to the side Lee was on and bent over.
“She's beautiful,” I said and mum and dad exchanged a look of glee. My little sister was adorable. Her skin was still a little red but she had been all cleaned up now. Her eyes were shut and her tiny lips were slightly parted. Her matchbox sized hands closed tight around her mother's finger.
“Shame I missed all the excitement, I had to run here from the other side of town,” I apologised to my parents.
“Nonsense, it's absolutely fine. You're here now anyway,” Mum ushered. “Want to hold her?” I shook my head; I wasn't very good with babies.
“You didn't answer you're phone when I called,” Lee said from behind me.
“Left my phone at Josh's,” I said to him. He nodded.
A little while later a nurse came in with blowy blonde hair and high heels and looked at mum's chart.
“You should get some rest,” the nurse said.
“In a little bit,” Mum replied. The thing with mum is, you can't tell her to do anything. It's not that she has a stiff upper lip; it's just that she brushes what you say off, and only takes in half of it.
“We’ll leave now then,” Dad said, standing and gathering his things. I leant over and kissed mum on the cheek.
“Rest up,” I said and then moved so Lee could do the same.
“We’ll come and visit tomorrow,” he said.
“Okay, I love you both,” Mum smiled to us as Lee and I walked towards the door. Dad leant down and kissed mum on the lips. Lee and I scrunched up our faces at each other and left the room.
“Reckon the baby will look like you or me?” Lee asked.
“Both, we’re twins remember,” I replied. Dad came out then, closing the door behind him and then putting his coat on.
“Cars out back,” he said to me and I nodded.
“Going back to Josh’s then?” Lee asked me as we walked down the hospital corridor towards the exit. I could smell hospital supplies and it gave me a headache.
“Yeah, all my stuff is there,” I pondered.
“Okay I’ll drop you there on the way home,” Dad chuckled. Lee glared at me as I walked past him out the car park exit door ahead of him. Lee and I were very close even for twins. We were 17 years old and loving it. I’m older than Lee by 3 minutes and 23 seconds but he’s two inches taller. I ran my fingers through my ear length sandy blonde hair and took a deep breath of the fresh night air. I hadn’t had time before to appreciate it earlier.
“How is Josh these days?” Dad asked, “We don’t see much of him around the house anymore.” I smirked and failed to hide it.
“He’s got a girlfriend now, so he spends most of his time with her,” I explained. Josh was going out with one of my other friends, Ellie.
“Oh that’s nice,” Dad uttered.
“Who?” Lee asked.
“Ellie,” I told them.
“You’re Ellie?” Dad asked me, confused.
“Yeah, they don’t suit each other at all do they,” I laughed, “That wont last long, but, they seem happy at least.” Truth is Josh is terrible with women. No one really understood why because the ladies love him, with all his charming brownness and glory. It’s what you’d expect from a tall, English, black man, but hey. Ellie isn’t what you’d say stunning, but she was gorgeous in her own way. I guess she likes Josh because he isn’t possessive and clingy like most guys, which Ellie hates. Dad unlocked the car and I slid into the passenger front seat. Lee was going to drive and Dad took to the back.
“I’d like to make it to Josh’s in one piece if you don’t mind,” I chuckled to Lee.
“Bite me,” Lee snarled and turned the key in the ignition.
10 minutes later I was hopping out of the car at Josh’s. Josh was waiting on the steps for me looking worried. He stood and came over to the car. It was so dark all I could see were Josh’s eyes and teeth and the clothes he was wearing.
“What’s going on man? You had me worried,” he said through Lee’s open window to me.
“Mum had her baby,” I explained, shrugging.
“Ah, boy or girl?”
“Girl,”
“So cute,” Josh grinned and scrunched up his eyes exposing his fabulous white teeth in all their glory.
“Hello Josh,” Dad said, getting out to hop into the front seat.
“Hey mister Dayton, Congratulations,” Josh said, putting out his hand that dad then shook.
“Thanks,” dad replied.
Josh leaned back into the car.
“Hey Lee, sup?” Josh smiled.
“Hi,” Lee said shyly. My brother was awkward around other people.
“Well best be off,” Dad said merrily.
“Hey does Lee want to stay over too?” Josh asked us all. Lee just stared at Josh, shocked.
“That alright with your parents?” dad asked Josh.
“Oh yeah, Mike was supposed to come over but got sick so we’re one short anyway,” Josh explained. He bent down to look at Lee again.
“Want to come hang?” Josh asked him.
“Come on Lee, it’ll be fun,” I urged him.
“I don’t have my stuff,” Lee blushed.
“Share mine,” I chuckled.
“Alright,” Lee blushed deeper.
“I think I’ll have something that will fit you if you need it,” Josh pondered thoughtfully, stepping back to give dad room to close the car door. Lee got out and dad moved across to the driver’s seat. I knew my brother well, I knew he’d be sweating like crazy and sure enough I saw him wipe his hands on his jeans behind Josh’s back and we walked up to the house. Lee was kind of strange; he was confident and comfortable around me, but others not so much. I thought my brother was adorable.
“We’re about to order pizza. What do you like Lee?” Josh asked my brother, putting his arm around his shoulders and leading him into the house and down the hall into the living room.
“I’m a vegetarian,” Lee muttered.
“That’s real cool. Vegetarian it is,” Josh announced. I was hoping Lee and Josh would become good friends, that’d help Lee’s confidence. In the living room Josh’s mum sat watching ‘Wheel of Fortune’ with a glass of gin and tonic. She was yelling at the television and her low cut black dress was bunched up and sagging.
“Hey mum, this is Lee, he’s Mike’s replacement for tonight,” Josh chuckled. Josh’s mum looked over to us.
“Oh okay. Hello Lee I’m Janice, Josh’s mum,” Janice held out a hand to Lee and he shook it nervously. I smirked at my brother.
“Hey dad,” Josh called to his father, as he left the room and went into the kitchen.
“Where’d you run off to then Soul?” Janice asked me.
“Mum had her baby,” I explained, “Sorry I didn’t have time to explain.”
“Oh that’s fine,” Janice laughed and waved her hand at me, “No, it’s Red, RED!” I walked Lee into the kitchen and left Janice to her show. Josh was writing a list of pizzas on a notepad with a bright pink pen while his dad was looking through vouchers.
“Hello boys,” said Josh’s dad, Harold, one of Lee’s and my dad’s friends. Harold was wearing his plumbing work shirt and shorts, his bald head shinning in the kitchen light. Josh ripped the list off the pad and handed it to his father, who looked it over.
“Thirsty?” Josh asked us.
“Yeah sure, thanks. Lee too,” I said, taking a seat on one of the kitchen stools. Lee did the same.
“Thanks,” Lee whispered.
“No problem,” I replied. Josh got out three glasses and put them on the bench. Then he went to the fridge and opened it, pulling out a half full bottle of cola. Josh twisted the lid off and there was a fizzing sound as the built up gas in the bottle was released. As soon as the drinks were poured I could smell the familiar smell of cola. I slurped it down quickly and it was delicious.
“So does your sister have a name yet?” Josh asked us.
“Oh, I didn’t ask,” I said, looking to Lee.
“Elizabeth Valerie,” Lee said to me. I smiled. If Lee and I had of been girl twins I would have been called Valerie and Lee Elizabeth. I laughed and then burped, thanks to the cola.
