Lee's P.O.V

Third day camping, well sort of camping. Anyway it was the third day now and it was the hottest day yet. We’d all been swimming again this morning and lounged around the houses. The air conditioning in the games room was good though. Right now I was there with everyone. I was sitting on the concrete floor by the wall which was nice and cool. The air hockey game was Josh VS Soul and Josh was winning. Every time Josh got a goal he would lift his shirt over his head and did a lap around the room. This was exactly what he was doing right now. Soul was rolling his eyes at me with an expression that said, ‘And-why-are-you-dating-him-again?’ I shrugged and smiled as Josh brushed past my feet.

“I’m going to win for you,” Josh said to me and I blushed.

“Okay,” I managed to mutter.

“Who says you’ll win?” Soul glared at him.

“Me!” Josh said, poking himself in the chest. He winced and then rubbed the sore spot.

“Careful,” I warned him.

“Okay lovely,” Josh grinned at me in that cheeky way he did. I laughed and blushed. Five minutes later Josh won and rushed over to me. He grabbed me under my armpits and lifted me off the ground and then kissed me. Then he let me slide back to the ground and went around the room high five-ing peoples faces.

“Ouch!” I said rubbing my side that had hit the ground rather abruptly. Josh looked at my scrunched up face and came over. He pulled me up off the ground again, sat down and sat me in between his legs and held me tight.

“What’s wrong? I’m sorry if I hurt you,” Josh sobbed into my back. I pulled my arms from where he had them pinned to his chest and put them around his waist. I couldn’t see much except Josh’s chocolate arms around me and he smelt so good it was making me dizzy, in a good way. I shifted so I could put my head on Josh’s shoulder and I kissed the skin on his neck.

“You didn’t, I’m fine,” I sighed. I was so happy just like this, I wished everyone away so I could stay like this.

“Come on everyone, leave the love-birds to it,” Soul chuckled and I heard the door open.

“Why don't they move?” someone whined. There were shuffling of feet and then the door closed again. I smirked against Josh’s skin and breathed in his smell. Josh moved his arm so it was between us and then cupped my chin and pulled my head up to look at him. I felt my face flush as I wondered if maybe we were moving too fast too early. Josh tilted his head in that trademark way he had and kissed me. Then Josh leant back and smiled.

“You’re so cute, I’m so lucky,” Josh sighed.

I smiled, “Thanks... I think.” Josh kissed me again lightly and then stood, taking me with him.

“Come on, the others will want the games room back,” Josh chuckled and led me to the door holding my hand tightly.

Josh's P.O.V

Lee was standing on the end of the jetty, his skinny white chest sparkling in the light unlike any vampires. His arms were raised above his head getting ready to dive off the end. Soul was next to him the same, getting ready to jump in on Tom’s command from the side so they could race to the middle of the lake and back. Soul had told me that he and Lee were champion swimmers and I could see it now. I was sitting on the shore with my legs spread out over the brown sand. The sun was shinning down bright overhead with no clouds to block the brilliant bright blue sky, the colour of Lee’s eyes.

“GO!” Tom shouted and Lee and Soul jumped off the end of the jetty at the same time. Sitting in the games room earlier today with Lee had been so great and to think about doing it over and over forever made my heart tingle. I’d first met Lee three years ago at school the day I moved here from England. Soul and Lee were sitting next to each other on a low wall eating apples and laughing. The sun was shinning on both of them and I thought maybe I’d died and gone to heaven. Lee had looked up and smiled at me and that was the moment I fell in love with him. I was so nervous to talk to him I ended up becoming friends with Soul instead. The first time I’d stayed over their house Lee was with his Dad in the city. Whenever I’d gone over to their house Lee pretty much left us alone despite attempts to get him to join in. The other day when he’d agreed to stay over mine I was so happy I didn’t know what to do. Now he was mine and only mine. I was crazy for him.

“Cheater!” I heard Lee call as Soul raced ahead of him.

“Slow poke,” Soul called back to his brother.

“Meanie,” Lee whined in such a cute voice. I watched Lee throw his arms around his head wildly trying to catch up to his brother who was only meters ahead of him. Then Lee went down under the water suddenly. I bolted upright and took a step towards the water, then thought maybe I was just overreacting. Soul zoomed ahead and still Lee didn’t rise. I burst into the lake’s water and ran until I was deep enough to swim. Soul looked at me confused but kept swimming. I raced past him to where I’d seen Lee go under. Soul was turning around and coming up behind me now. I dived down and looked around but I couldn’t see Lee anywhere. Panic and adrenaline pumped through my eyes and I rushed to the surface again.

“What’s going on?” Soul asked me.

“I can’t find Lee,” I breathed, my voice shaky. Soul’s eyes flew open wide and we both went back under. There were weeds and seaweed all over the bottom of the lake. If Lee was on the bottom of the lake we wouldn’t be able to see him. There was even a huge tree trunk right beneath me with weeds growing all over it. There was a gap underneath it of pure white sand where the sun didn’t reach for the weeds to grow. Wait, the sand here wasn’t white. Then I saw Lee’s black hair swishing around his head, his body limp and unmoving, his eyes closed. I plunged as fast as I could to the tree trunk and out of the corner of my eye I saw Soul follow. I reached the trunk, six meters deep, and grabbed Lee’s arm and pulled. He moved slightly but otherwise stayed under. Was he caught on something? I looked at Soul for help, pleading him with my eyes instead of words. Soul pointed at Lee, horror written in his eyes. I looked under the trunk to see a dark seaweed moving over Lee’s chest, red blood was oozing from the gaps where the seaweed overlapped. Soul and I both grabbed Lee then and yanked as hard as we could. I even put a leg up against the trunk. Lee came away and attached to him so did most of the seaweed. Soul threw his arms around Lee and I grabbed his legs and pulled, fighting to get to the surface and then to shore. Soul lay Lee down on the dirty sand, his black hair plastered to his face. I checked for breathing but he wasn’t.

“There’s a pulse,” Soul cried, “It's faint.” I titled Lee’s head and opened his mouth to open his airways. Then I pinched his nose with two fingers and took a deep breath. I put my mouth over Lee’s and breathed in. Then I did it again, and again. But still Lee didn’t spit out water and breath.

“COME ON!” I screeched and gave him four more breaths.

“Lee can you hear me?” Soul called to his brother, tears in his eyes.

“His pulse is flailing,” Abbey burst into tears.

“No you don’t,” I said to Lee and pumped him with more air. Lee moved under me and I sat back as water rushed from Lee’s mouth. I helped him move to his side so none went back into his lungs and he coughed it up. I was so relieved. I rubbed his back between his shoulder blades and weakly Lee looked up at his brother.

“Did I win?” he asked, smiling and then coughed again. There were huge gashes and rashes up and down Lee's body and some seaweed still clung to him, digging in needles and spikes. I tentatively pulled them away and winced at the horrible wounds on his body. Soul grabbed Lee up to him and hugged him tightly to his chest, who coughed a little and then put his arms around his brother.

“You scared me half to death,” Soul sighed. Soul, though he put on a brave face and playfully teased Lee, cared about him more than anything in the world. Soul was always looking after Lee no matter what. He’d pretend that they were just normal brothers but whenever anything happened to Lee he was there like lightning. It had always been that way. I remember seeing a video of them when they were younger. It was their 6th birthdays and Soul was wearing a home made superhero costume swinging on the swing set on camera. He was being his macho showing off self when suddenly Lee screamed from off the screen. Soul jumped off the swing, practically flying, and raced to Lee who had fallen off his tricycle and hurt his knee and was crying. Soul took charge of everything, he calmed Lee down, and he cleaned and bandaged his knee and even gave him an ice-cream. I was kind of jealous of how close they really were.

Lee pulled away from Soul and turned to me. He sneezed just like a little puppy and it was the cutest thing I’d ever seen. Just then I realised I had been crying. Lee moved over to me and put his arms over my shoulders but really loosely and exhausted.

“I’ll call the hospital and ask if you need to go in,” Tom said, getting up to go get his phone. Lee coughed and his whole body shook against me. I stood and then picked Lee up and headed inside. He was wet and ill, he needed lots of towels and blankets to keep warm. Everyone followed us.

“Put me down, I can walk,” Lee breathed weakly into my shoulder. I didn’t say anything. I just carried him inside and put him on the couch while Soul ran to get towels and Abbey got blankets.

Jamie rang the camp’s owner to let them know what had happened. Someone was going to come in the morning and have a look.

Once Lee was dry and warm sitting on one end of the couch and I sat on the other. Soul was on the floor beside Lee's knee and others were scattered around. It turned out Lee didn’t need to go to Hospital but we all had to keep an eye on him and if he showed any digressing signs of poisoning or pneumonia then we’d have to take him in.

At the moment he was asleep with his head loped sideways on the couch arm. We were all watching TV but I wasn’t taking anything in. Every five minutes I’d glance over at Lee’s sleeping form but he slept unchanging, which was a good sign.

Ellie and Mike were making dinner in the kitchen while everyone else but Lee and I sat on the picnic tables outside. Lee’s face was pale, sort of sickly, but slowly the colour seemed to be coming back. The seaweed marks hadn’t penetrated deep into his skin which was also very good. I kept my eyes to the TV so I didn’t have to see Lee so weak and drained. Something soft and warm touched my cheek ever so lightly and I turned to see Lee smiling at me, he looked half dead with black rings around his eyes. He moved his fingers like feathers from my cheek to my lips and smiled wider.

“Soul said you saved me,” Lee croaked. I was relieved by how much stronger his voice sounded now, but still not quite normal. I smiled.

“Are you hungry? Dinner should be ready soon. You should eat at least a little if you can manage it,” I said, not responding to Lee’s comment. Lee shuffled to me, holding my arm to pull himself forward. I was wearing a navy tank top so my arms and shoulders were exposed and Lee kissed me were my shoulder and arm joint was. My skin instantly began to tingle. Lee moved even closer and kissed my cheek. God why did he have to be so god damn adorable? I felt weak but not in the way Lee was. Lee moved his lips along my jaw to my chin and my lips parted slightly and involuntarily. Lee brushed his nose over my lips and then brought his lips to mine. I was going to die any moment from trying to restrain myself. Lee was weak, he couldn’t do anything like that, I had to withhold. Lee pulled away and frowned his puppy dog eyes at me, making a sad face. My heart was bursting through my ribs to try and break free.

“You’re withholding on me,” Lee sobbed. I was ready to just grab him and snog him, but I couldn’t.

“You’re still weak and… ill. You need to… rest,” I muttered, trying not to look at the cutest face in the entire planet and universe.

“Please, just kiss me properly,” Lee begged me, tugging on my arm.

“One,” I said, unable to resist any longer. I grabbed Lee’s chin as quickly but as gentle as possible and kissed him. We moved our lips in time and I felt my heart burning against my ribs. Love was pumping through my veins and overwhelming me. Lee started moving backwards to lie down on the couch and I went with him, one arm around his waist. I kissed him desperately, feeling my body rise with adrenaline and temperature. I knew I had to stop now or I’d hurt him. But somehow I couldn’t. it was like he was a drug and I was addicted and I’d gone weeks without it and all the craving had built up and built up and now I was going to overdose but I was just so happy about it. I ripped myself away from Lee and fell to the floor, trying to slow my breathing by taking big deep breaths. Lee just started laughing and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

“Thanks,” he chuckled and then coughed. I knew that one day; Lee was going to kill me.

“You shouldn’t try and seduce me like that,” I sighed and rubbed my temples. Lee just laughed in his adorableness.

“Dinner,” Ellie called from the kitchen. I got up on my knees so my belt was resting against the side of the couch. Lee sat up all the way and leant against me, and then put his arms around me lightly and sighed.

“I won’t seduce you if you don’t seduce me,” Lee chuckled softly.

“Then you’d have to stop doing everything, even breathing,” I laughed. Lee smiled against the skin of my neck. I could feel his warm breath; could smell his glorious smell; my chest started hurting again.

“I’ll get you something to eat,” I muttered, unwrapping Lee from me and letting him fall back on the couch gently. Then I stood and went to the kitchen as the others came in the back door. Soul went straight to Lee. I heard him say something like, ‘Can I get you anything? Are you hungry?’ Lee replied with, ‘Josh is already doing it, sorry.’ I smiled with my back to them and felt Soul’s eyes on me, but couldn’t tell what message they were sending. Then Soul was at my shoulder while the others gathered food on their plates and chatted about what we’d do tomorrow.

“Thanks, for saving Lee I mean. I didn’t even notice. I feel so… stupid and helpless,” Soul breathed almost in my ear.

“Don’t worry about it. And don’t feel bad. I couldn’t have saved him without you,” I told my best friend.

“Thanks mate,” Soul smiled warmly. I tapped his butt and then ran off to the other side of the table.

“Who did that?” I asked sarcastically looking at each of the others accusingly. They were all smiling and laughing.

“I’m going to get you,” Soul growled playfully. I poked my tongue out at him and dashed around the house skipping and singing,

“You can’t catch me, you can’t catch me, oh no oh no you can’t catch me,” at the top of my lungs. Soul chased after me but only half heartedly. I ran back to the kitchen, grabbed a chicken leg, threw it on a plate with some salad and scuttled over to Lee and handed it to him. He smiled at me as I then kart wheeled behind the couch and bopped Soul on the nose.

We ate dinner together but Lee didn’t finish his so I ate it. The rest of the guys went into the games room to play pool but I stayed on the couch with Lee. I was sitting with my back to the arm and my knees up but legs apart. Lee sat between my legs, his back resting on my chest and the blanket pulled up to his chin. He seemed to be quite cold despite it being the middle of summer so I was glad to keep him warm. I had my arms around Lee and my was holding onto them with his elbows tucked in together. Soul had kept an eye on him as he showered earlier and now I could smell the apple shampoo in his thick dark brown hair that every time I breathed in brushed against my nose and tickled me. Lee’s head was tilted back slightly so it rested on my shoulder and the only lights were coming from the kitchen, aside from the game’s room, and the TV. We were watching some comedy film but I wasn’t paying much attention because Lee had just fallen asleep and was mumbling.

“Josh… Josh,” Lee was saying and I smiled. “You have really soft skin.” I hugged Lee tighter, nuzzling his neck with my nose. Lee sniffed, moved his blanket and then sighed.

“I love you Lee,” I whispered in his ear and then kissed him.

Ellie's P.O.V

I felt like the freaking mum around these guys. I did most of the cooking and shopping. Can't anyone fend for themselves these days? We were all sitting on the floor in a circle and I was grinning evilly.

“So who's up for spin the bottle?” I chuckled, pulling an empty bottle out of thin air and placing it in the middle of the circle.

“I'm in,” Mike chuckled, rubbing his hands together. Tom shrugged.

“Why not,” Jamie giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. Soul looked at Abbey who nodded.

“We're in,” he said, smiling cheekily.

“Alright, who wants to go first?” I asked sweetly, looking at each of them in turn.

“I will,” Mike said nonchalantly and reached out and spun the bottle. It landed on me and I giggled.

“Alright babe?” Mike winked at me and I nodded. We both got on our knees and leant out across the middle of the circle and Mike put his lips lightly on mine and then pulled away.

“My turn,” I said and spun the bottle. It spun and spun until it stopped on Jamie. The boys whistled and so I reached over and planted a kiss on Jamie's lips. She giggled like a nutter and then spun the bottle herself.

Jaime's P.O.V

PLEASE LAND ON TOM! PLEASE LAND ON TOM! I shouted in my head at the bottle. It slowed to a stop on... Mike. Mike shrugged and kissed me. Ugh! How boring. No offence to Mike. Mike spun the bottle again.

Mike's P.O.V

Tom... Tom... Tom... I mused in my head, waiting for the bottle to stop. And it stopped on... TOM! I suppressed my excitement as I leant over to Tom. His eyes were ablaze with something, I wasn't sure what, but he got up on his knees and put his hand on my cheek. At his touch fire shot through my body and I almost blanked if the adrenaline hadn't jolted me awake. Tom closed his eyes just before our lips touched and then... OMG! Heaven in the form of lips. I'm telling you, it was as if I was kissing god himself. Except young and sexy and not old and hairy. My lips had a mind of their own as they attacked Tom's and my stomach churned with butterflies. And what was even better? Tom was kissing me back.

“Whoa boys, calm down,” Jamie hissed. I pulled back and sat back down. Oh, what have I done? Tom was staring at me now, wide eyed. Shit! I got to my feet and ran.

Tom's P.O.V

I didn't know what I was feeling... it was... strange. When Mike had kissed me it was like... like... fondue? Like melted chocolate fondue! Except tasting of him instead of chocolate. Everyone was looking after Mike where the door swung open. Then their heads all turned to me questioningly. I just stared blankly after him.

Soul's P.O.V

Tom was sitting outside at the end of the jetty alone. Mike still hadn't appeared since his little disappearing act two hours ago. It was getting late and the sky was cloudy. Earlier that day Mike had told me that he liked Tom, and also that Tom liked me. And it was obvious to everyone Jamie liked him. I felt guilty for showing off my relationship with Abbey for the world to see now. I stood and Abbey grabbed my hand as if to ask where I was going.

“Outside to talk to Tom,” I mumbled to her and she nodded. The others were inside and I knew they wouldn't come interrupt us so I crept along the jetty and sat at the end with Tom. He was pretending to ignore me.

“Tom I...” I began but stopped. What was I going to say?

“I like you Soul. I really really do. I have for ages and I can't stop it. But I know you're with Abbey now. And she's my best friend. I just can't stand it,” Tom blurted angrily, sobbing. He buried his head in his hands.

“Tom...” I shuffled closer. I knew what to do now. I took Tom's wrists and pulled his hands away from his face. Then I cupped his chin and pulled his face to mine. Tom gave me a shocked expression just before I put my lips on his and kissed him. He kissed me back slowly, savouring it. It was the least I could do for the guy. After a little bit I pulled away and sighed. Tom sighed too.

“Thanks. You didn't have to,” he mumbled.

“I did. I know what it's like to like someone. It was the least I could do for you Tom,” I said softly. Tom knew it meant nothing for me. He seemed to accept it as the final point, so that now he could move on. I reached out and wrapped Tom in my arms tightly. He sniffed into my shoulder and then pulled away and wiped his eyes on his shirt sleeve.

“Mike likes you,” I told him. “He told me.” Tom looked up at me excited then. Then shook his head sadly.

“No, he can't have, he ran away from me with disgust when we kissed before,” Tom mumbled.

“No I didn't,” Mike said behind us. We both whirled around to see him standing over us.

“You didn't? Then why-” Tom babbled, But Mike cut him off.

“I thought you'd be angry because you liked Soul,” Mike mumbled embarrassed.

“I'm out of here,” I said and got to my feet. I patted Tom's shoulder and nodded at Mike, then went back inside to let them talk it out.

ahahahahaha.... i have too much fun with this!
