"Mr. Tressman? Care to explain your theories?"
My head snaps up from leaning it against the desk, and I groan, rubbing my eyes. "What do you know? I don't particularly like this subject, so therefore I wasn't listening."
Prof. Hoffman scowls at me, pushing her glasses up her nose. But she's used to it. It's not like I actually listen in these lectures, anyway. Being in college sucks. Hoffman brushes a stray black hair from her face, before going back to teaching Physics.
I roll my eyes, and smirk as the boys around me burst out laughing from my talking back to Hoffy. "That's not proper lecture room behaviour, lads." I mock Hoffy's voice perfectly, pushing imaginary glasses up the bridge of my nose. "Detention if you lads don't be quiet!" We all fall about laughing, trying not to make too much noise.
"You guys are despicable. Some of us are trying to learn!" Some girl with dark skin and curly red hair that falls in her face scowls at us, before looking back at Hoffman.
I roll my eyes,"Oh, look who's a try hard. Doll, some of us don't care."
She just sits there, staring straight ahead, ignoring me.
Glancing away from that rude little girl, I turn back to my best friend, Drestin. His blonde hair is literally better than Kim Kardashian's, and he's piled it up into a lax, laid back quiff. He faces me, green eyes shining. "Man, that was super funny!"
I grin lazily, "I know. But seriously, I'm tired.Record this lecture on my phone, yeah? On the voice recorder. I'll listen to it later." And with that, I hand him my phone, running a hand through my white hair, and letting myself drift into a Physics filled sleep.

Drestin steps into line beside me, handing me my iPhone. "Here you go bro!"
I smile, thanking him. "Wanna go for some coffee before Biotechnology?" What? Because I couldn't care less about lectures didn't mean I wanted to be picking litter up off the streets for my job.
He nods, waving at one of the girls in the Art major. He's got it bad for some Becca girl. "Hey Rebecca!" I scream wildly, flapping my arms up and down. "DRESTIN LOVES YOU!" I try not to shriek like a little girl when Drestin tries to hit me. "IT'S TRUE!"
Rebecca waves back, smiling. I have to admit, she is really pretty, with sleek, Chinese eyes and dyed blue hair. Her skin is literally flawless, and she likes to wear dungarees splattered with coloured paint. Beside her is the dark skinned girl who was obnoxiously rude to me in the Physics lecture. "And hey there Red! Still mad that no one cares about Physics?"
She just scoffs, looking back at Rebecca and hitting her arm. "Come on," Drestin pokes my arm. I roll my eyes, smirking, before following him out the large iron gates of Weller Academy, across the street to a quaint little coffee place.
The sign above the bright ass yellow door reads, The Little Bean, snorting, Drestin and I walk in. "Woah, why's it so bright in here?" I cringe at the lack of monochrome colours, my eyes being blinded by the vibrant reds and cobalt blues. "MY EYES!"
"I'm sorry, sir. We just really like colours over here at the LIttle Bean!" My eyes flit from the bright interior to the short cashier. He's got stark black hair, stuck in a side wept fringe. His light brown eyes, the literal colour of coffee, light up. "Welcome, by the way! I don't think I know you two?"
I curl my lip at his happiness, and walk over to read the name plate on his chest. "Okay...Calum? We're here to get coffee, dark and serious, not whatever pink coloured crap you have here. It was terrible to meet you too, and I'm definitely not going to tell you my name. Though this is Drestin Powers."
Calum stands, shocked, his happy expression lost. "Uhm..."
Drestin slaps my arm, and I stick my tongue out at him. "Sorry, Wren over here is a little too closed off when it comes to meeting happy people. He can't stand them." Calum suddenly giggles. That morphs into a full-blown laugh. I frown.
"What the hell's so funny?"
Calum grins at me, finally calming down. "Wren? Like the bird? The short, stubby, chubby British bird?" My displeasure blooms into anger.
"Stop, laughing." I growl, slamming my feet on the mahogany desk. "It's not funny."
Calum giggles again. "Sorry, Wren. Um, haha, what would you like to buy?" He gestures to the large menu behind him. And by large, I mean large. It's taller than him, and he seems about 5'5 or 5'6.
"Black coffee for me, and a coffee with cream, milk and sugar for Wren." Drestin says, handing the bubbly black haired boy £9.00. Calum takes it, still giggling. Who the hell even knows birds anyway? I didn't even know where my name was from prior to this moment!"
"You look kind of like your name, know that, Wren?" Calum says, while bustling around to make the coffees.
I raise an eyebrow. "Are you calling me short, stubby and chubby?" Because I swear...
Calum's eyes widen, "Of course not! Just that, you're both extremely cute!" I'm about to break his head in. Drestin backs away, glancing at me. "Um, Calum? Don't say that,"
"Why?"
"Wren really doesn't like happy people who also happen to call him cute. "
The infuriating boy just flashes his smile again, handing us both our drinks,"But he is!" And with that, he ushers us out of the shop. Me growling like a dog all the way outside. "Buh-Bye!"
