(A:n/ hmm, this chapter is a little annoying, because of Calum and his prying, but whatever. Hope you all like it! Also, if this is going too fast, I'm sorry, but I have to finish this before June ends so XD

-Avii )

I find myself slumped against an iron shelf filled with packets of coffee granules, Calum tending to my knife wound.

I almost scream as the pain blinds me, my head hitting the wall as I try not to cry. "Can't - ow - can't I see a doctor?!"

He pouts at me, and I have to avert my eyes. I tell myself it's because of the pain, I can't focus on one thing at a time, and not because he looks so damn cute.

"But I'm a medicine student! I'm practically a doctor!" He exclaims, long, slim fingers dabbing gently at the blood in my side. "You'll be right as rain in a few weeks!"

Grabbing a bandage from his first aid kit, he lifts my shirt, and I put my hands up. Throwing my shirt away, he blushes, before looking back down at the wound.

I smirk as he wraps the white cotton around my abdomen, his cold fingers shaking and brushing against my hot bare skin. "Like what you see, Calvin?"

The black haired boy gulps, nodding his head. "I mean - no! Not like you're not cute or anything, because you are, I mean, ah!"

I shush him by placing an awkward kiss on his cheek. "There, that shut you up."

His whole face goes red, and he hides said face with his hair, ignoring me. But that pleasure doesn't last long. "Who was that man?"

I just shake my head. "None of your business, Calculator."

He rolls his eyes. "It's Calum. And yes, if I find you with a knife stuck in your side, then hell yeah it's all of my business!"

I sigh heavily. I should have never gotten him into this. "Right, well, what do want to know? I'll see of I can answer it or not."

He exhales. "Hmm. Um, what's his name and who is he?"

I rake a hand through my hair, wincing as my wound stretches. "His name is Killian, and he's a...drug dealer. I used to... crap, well I used to supply him."

Silence.

Then, a low whistle. "Wow." Calum's brown eyes are filled with concern."And you're not joking?"

I shake my head, scowling. Why the hell would I joke about that? He bows his head. "Wren...that's...why would you do that?"

I scoff, turning away from him. Who was he, my Dad? "Whatever. I've stopped anyways. But he still wants more. He's addicted."

Calum simply sighs, and gingerly hugs me. For a moment, I'm still, letting his warmth stay on the outside, but then he hugs harder, and I melt. "We'll figure this out together," he grins, kissing my cheek.

I force myself to not blush, and we sit in silence for a bit. Then, "Did you guys date before?"

I almost choke on my own spit. It clogs my throat, and I have to cough multiple times to clear it out. "What?!"

I feel like laughing. "God no! 1: I don't swing that way, and 2: he's a total dick! Not to mention drug activist."

Calum just giggles, shaking his head. "Right. Just a thought...but do you know what your preference is?"

I shrug. "I'm demisexual, meaning I have to have a strong connection with a person before I like them. Also, I'm straight, so leave."

He snorts, and suddenly I realise how dark it's become in the back room. And how close to me his lithe body is. And how hot his breath is against my neck.

"Do you want to bet on you being straight, Tressman?"

A shiver goes through my body as his nose trails my jawline. I almost reach out to run a hand down his pale chest underneath his white shirt, when something crashes from a wall, shaking me out of the trance. "No, stop!"

He pulls back, pouting. "Whaaat?"

I shake my head, heart beating, and I feel my stupid anger issues rise. "What the hell?! What was that? We're you trying to get in my pants this whole time? I'm fucking injured!"

I would strangle him, but he's pinning my hands to my sides. Even him being a short stack, thin looking male, he's strong.

"Shush, Wren. I'm just confused. Sorry. I - I'll stay away of you want. "

I just spit on the ground by his legs. "Yeah, stay the hell away from me."

Sadness evident in his eyes, and many other strong emotions, he gets up, handing me a glass of water from a table and leaves me a book to read. "I'll see you later."

Weeehhew, is it just me, or was that abnormally hot? Okay, whatever. Thanks so much for reading! ♡
