Another update? Yeah

KELLIN'S POV

I switch the TV off as I hear my mom's car pull up the driveway. I realize it's not subtle as I hear the tires screech. Oh no, she's drunk again. I quickly stand up just as Mom crashes through the door with a bottle of whiskey in her hand.

"Out!" She yells glaring at me.

"W-what?" I stammer.

"You heard me. Out!" She yells again.

I waste no time in rushing to the door as she throws the bottle of whiskey that misses my head only by a few inches.

"Where will I go?" I ask my eyes filling with tears.

"I don't care. Just get out." She sneers and I nod my head before walking out the front door then closing it behind me.

The night air's cold and it doesn't help that I didn't get the chance to grab a hoodie. I wrap my arms around my cold torso before putting my head down as I start walking down the dimly lit street.

I walk a few blocks with tears occasionally spilling from my eyes trying to think of a place I can stay. I have no friends, no family, well none that actually want me. Where am I going to go?

I walk around for what seems like hours until I pull my phone out and check the time. It's now 1am. Suddenly a car horn beeps and before the rusty mustang pulls up beside me. I stop in my tracks and the window winds down. I realize that it's Vic and by the sounds of it, Tony and Jaime as well.

"Kell, what are you doing walking around at this time?" He asks with a chuckle.

"I-I have nowhere to go." I say my voice cracking.

His face softens and he motions for me to get in the passenger seat. I slide my phone back in my pocket then walk around the car and climb in. I notice Jaime and Tony in the back seat giggling like crazy, they're obviously drunk.

"Designated driver?" I question.

He nods and chuckles.

"Yeah, as usual. We went to a party and as always they got smashed. I'm not much of a drinker so I always get stuck driving these two idiots home." Vic explains.

"This your car?" I ask confused. If he has a car then why does he walk home?

"No, this is Jaime's." He replies answering my questions. "He lets me borrow it when he's drunk so I have a way to get home and so he doesn't try to drive it."

I nod and Vic pulls up at a house.

"Tone, you're home." Vic says turning around so he's facing Tony.

"No." Tony whines. "I don't want to go home. I want to party."

"Tony get out of the car before I make you." Vic says sternly and Tony opens the car door.

He tries to get out but he still has his seatbelt on. Vic rolls his eyes and puts the car in park before getting out and going around to Tony's side. He unbuckles his drunk friend's seatbelt before helping him out of the car and up the lawn to what I assume is his house. He knocks on the door and a Hispanic woman answers the door. She glares at Tony before taking him off of Vic. She then smiles gratefully at Vic and thanks him before closing the door. Vic comes back the car and gets in before driving off again.

"He is so grounded." Vic mutters.

I chuckle and Vic drives until he stops at what I assume is Jaime's house. He puts the car in park and looks back at Jaime who has passed out. He gets out of the car and unbuckles Jaime's seatbelt before picking the boy up with ease. God, he must be strong. He closes the door with his hip and walks around to the side of the house and slides a window open. He then climbs in the window with Jaime still in his arms. A few seconds later he climbs back out of the window an before shutting it softly. He then comes back to the car sighing. He puts the car back in drive and drives off.

"Why didn't you just ring the doorbell?" I ask confused.

"Because his parents didn't know that he was out. His parents are like really strict so if they found out that he had snuck out then they would've called the music department at school and got him removed from the class." Vic explains.

"Wow, you're a good friend." I say in awe.

"I try." He smiles.

We fall in a short silence before Vic turns to me.

"So you need a place to stay?" He asks and I nod.

"Just for tonight." I mumble.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asks quietly.

I shake my head and he nods in understanding. He drives until we pull up at some gates. But they're not just any gates, they're like golden gates. The gates you'd expect to see when you arrive in heaven. Vic winds down his window where there is a speaker-looking thing.

"Hey Mark, can you open the gate?" Vic asks into the speaker.

"Of course, Master Fuentes." A voice says back and my jaw drops as the gates open.

"And Mark..." Vic says.

"Yes Master Fuentes?"

"Just call me Vic." Vic chuckles.

The guy just chuckles and Vic drives through the gates. They then close behind the car. My eyes go wide as we approach the house, I mean mansion.

"You live here?" I ask in wonder.

"Yep." Vic answers simply.

We drive up to the house and Vic parks before turning the car off. He gets out of the car and I follow. He grabs my hand and we sneak around the house where there is a ladder going to a window on the second floor.

"You don't mind climbing do you? I shouldn't really be going through the front door this late." Vic says and I shake my head.

He smiles at me before he starts climbing the ladder and I follow. He gets to the top and opens the window before disappearing inside of it. I climb to the top of the ladder and Vic holds out a hand for me to grab. I grab it and he helps me climb through the window into a giant bedroom.

"Holy shit, this is your room?" I ask in awe. "It's bigger than my entire house.

"Yeah." He sighs sadly. "With a room this big, it's not that hard to feel small."

I give him a concerned smile.

"So do you want to have a shower or something?" Vic asks and I nod really wanting a hot shower.

"Do you have hot water?" I ask hopefully.

"Ah, yeah. You don't?" He asks concerned.

"Only on the best days." I mutter.

He drops my hand that I forgot he was holding and goes over to his wardrobe. He pulls out a pair of sweatpants and a shirt.

"They should fit." He smiles and hands them to me.

"Bathrooms in there." He smiles pointing to a door. "Towels should be on the shelf in there, call me if you need anything."

I thank him before walking into the bathroom and shutting the door. My eyes dart across the room and a grin spreads across my face. There's an open shower at one end of the room and a spa bath at the other. There's all sorts of different shampoos and body washes across a shelf and a basin and mirror right under it.

I get undress before going over to the open shower. I turn the hot and the cold tap and water starts falling from the roof and from the two walls joint from the corner. I adjust the temperature and step under the water suppressing a moan as I feel the warm water fall onto my back. Oh my God, this is amazing. I have to stop myself from squealing in enjoyment. Jeez, Kellin control yourself. Who knew I could get so happy over a shower? I start washing my hair with shampoo that looks like it could cost $100 per bottle. I start singing my favorite song as I wash the shampoo out of my hair. Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, duh. I wash my body before reluctantly turning the shower off and grabbing a towel off of the shelf. Even the towels look like I'd have to sell my soul just to be able to afford one. I dry myself before getting dressed and walking out of the bathroom. I put my arms behind my back realizing that my cuts are showing.

"Have fun?" Vic asks with a chuckle and I nod grinning.

"You have an amazing voice. You should do something with that, you know?" Vic complements and I blush heavily shrugging.

Vic chuckles and walks towards me. He then looks at me sadly confusing me. Did I do something wrong?

"Show me." He whispers.

"What?" I ask completely confused.

"You're arms. Show me. Please." He says softly.

I bite my lip knowing that I can't have my arms behind my back forever. I drop my arms to my side looking down ashamed. He gently grabs my hands and looks at the cuts covering both of my arms.

"Most of these are fresh Kells." He sighs running his hand through his hair.

I shrug still looking at the floor until Vic lifts my chin up.

"Please don't do this again." He mumbles staring at me earnestly.

"It's not that simple Vic." I whisper.

"I know, I know." He whispers pulling me into a hug that I return. "Please just promise me you'll try."

I nod hopelessly.

"Okay, I promise." I sigh.

He pulls out of the hug and smiles lightly at me.

"You tired?" He asks softly.

I nod and he motions to the king-size double poster bed.

"You can have the bed." He offers.

"Are you sure?" I ask feeling intrusive, although that bed looks pretty darn good.

"Yes, I'm sure. I don't sleep much and I have a couch anyway." He explains pointing to the three-seater couch on the other side of the room.

Of course he has a couch in his room.

"Thank you." I smile.

"It's no problem. You should get some sleep. You look tired." He says and I nod.

I surprise myself by hugging Vic tightly.

"Goodnight Vic." I mumble letting go of him.

"Night Kells." He whispers.

I then go over to the ginormous bed and pull the covers back before climbing in. I pull the covers over me and Vic dims the lights before going over to the couch.

"Vic, why don't you sleep?" I ask curiously.

"I have insomnia." He answers like it's no big deal.

"Oh, does it bother you?" I ask.

"Sometimes." He mutters.

"What do you do all night?"

"Think." He sighs.

"What about?" I'm not sure why I'm asking so many question but I'm just interested. Everything about him interests me.

"Lately, I've been thinking a lot about you." He replies.

"Oh." Is all I say and I feel my face heat up.

I roll over and close my eyes. In the quiet I can faintly hear a beeping noise.

"Vic, what's that noise?" I ask my eyes snapping open.

"You sure ask a lot of questions, don't you?" He chuckles.

"Oh, sorry." I mumble feeling like an idiot.

"It's okay. Is the noise annoying you? Do you want me to put on some music or something?" Vic asks quickly.

"No, it's fine. I was just curious." I admit sheepishly.

"Get some sleep, Kells." Vic chuckles.

I decide to just do as I'm told so I close my eyes again burying my face in Vic's pillow. He has a unique scent. I wonder what cologne he uses, if he uses any. Maybe it's just a really fancy shampoo or aftershave. I get lost in thought about Vic, something that I've been doing a lot lately, before I fall into a comfortable sleep.
