I never knew taking to kids to the park was so difficult. Brad and Connor are both working doing who knows what so James and I are watching all three kids. Well mostly James but I'm trying to help.
Currently I'm trying to catch one year old William and put shoes on him. I never knew a one year old could be so fast.
It's been about a month and a half since the kids birthday party and Brad's warming up to me. James is still a bit cautious with me especially with the kids but he's giving me a bit of leash. Connor pretty much accepted me after I saved his little girl.
Finally I snag the small boy and hold him with one arm as I use the other to put his shoes on.
"Nice." I hear James say from behind me. I turn to see him ready with Sam on one hip and TJ on the other.
"I never knew a one year old could be so fast." I tell him trying to Will from kicking off the shoes.
"He's not even one yet." James says with a chuckle. "He's only ten months."
"Is there a difference?" I ask.
"Yeah a whole two months." He says giving me a duh look. Then Sam says it for emphases.
"Duh Uncle Trissy." She says rolling her eyes.
"Well aren't you so smart." I tell her walking up and shuffling her hair.
"Of course I am. I'm going into kindergarten." She tells me proudly.
"I'm going to kindergarten too." TJ says pouting.
"Of course you are. You're smart like your Daddy." I tell him. "I can't say you get your smarts from your Daddy or your Papa so you must hang out with your Uncle Jamie a lot." I tell Sam.
"Are you calling Daddy and Papa dumb?" Sam asks with a gasp.
"Course not." I tell her.
"I suggest stopping while you're ahead. You aren't going to win." James advises. I nod seeing he's right.
"Alright who's going to get the bag and who's going to get the door?" James asks the kids.
"Me!" They both say at the same time. James shakes his head with a chuckle.
"Why don't you two get the bag and you," He says looking at me. "Get the door." I nod and the kids stare at each other a minute before nodding. He somehow kneels down so the kids can reach the diaper bag and then stands back up. He turns back to me.
"Ready?" He asks. I nod and hold the door open for him, trying not to let Will slip out of my grip.
As soon as he's out the door I follow, closing the door behind me. I beat him to the car to open that door for him to. I head to the other side to put Will in his car seat in the center of the back seat. I look at all the different straps confused.
"Need help?" James asks with a chuckle. I look up to see he's already strapped Sam in her booster seat one handed and is waiting on me so he can put TJ in the other booster seat.
"Please?" I say a bit pathetically.
"Here." He says handing me TJ. I watch him strap Will in with ease. "Did you get that?" He asks taking TJ back.
"Not one bit." I tell him honestly. He laughs.
"Get it the car. I'll get TJ buckled in." He tells me shaking his head.
After the short drive we make it to the park. It's a lot easier unbuckling the car seats than buckling them. Sam and TJ take off before Will is even out of his car seat but James doesn't seem concerned.
"They love this park they won't go anywhere." He explains to me. "Besides if you look between those two trees you can see them on the swings." He tells me pointing between the leaves.
I turn and see he's right. I can see the two kids jumping onto the swings.
"Come on." James tells me, walking up the path with Will. I start to follow but then turn around. I don't see anyone but it feels like someone is watching.
I turn back around and quickly follow James up the path.

Meant to finish this last week but we went on vacation so it didn't get done til now.
I'm going to jump a bit until it's Christmas that's when all the actions really gonna start.
