Well it's now November and I'm either going to fuck up everything I've worked up with James or everything's going to be ten times better.
I find James sitting on his back porch.
"Hey." I say sitting down in a chair across from him.
"Hey what's up?" He asks setting his book down on the coffee table.
"Can we talk?" I ask him. He gets a weary look on his face.
"What about?" He asks hesitantly. "Then. Us." I tell him. He shakes his head.
"No this isn't a good time." He says getting up.
"When then? When is a good time because whenever the subject comes up your running." I say irritated.
"I don't run." He says turning his back to me.
"Then what do you call this? You have to face it eventually." I tell him.
"I'll face it when I'm ready. When my son is ready." He says walking into the house. I put my head in my hands. I am so stupid. I'm probably back to square one with him now.
"He's scared." A small voice says. I look up and see TJ standing in front of me.
"What?" I asks confused.
"He's scared. He doesn't want to get hurt again. He afraid if he lets you in you'll hurt him again." He says like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"How do you know this?" I ask the kid in awe.
"Because I know my daddy. Make him understand you won't hurt him again and he'll start to open up." He tells me.
"You're one smart kid." I tell him. He grins at me.
"TJ! There you are." Sam says running up onto the porch. "Does Uncle Jamie have icies?" She asks him.
"Yeah let's get some." TJ says, his eyes lighting up.
"Bye Bye Uncle Trissy." Sam says running into the house.
"Yeah bye bye." TJ says following her. He never calls me Uncle Trissy like Sam does. He doesn't call me anything I wonder why. I'll have to ask James next time he's not upset with me.

Well I'm going to help my sister move today. That's going to be fun. Not.
If this chapter gets three votes while I'm working I'll try to get another update today.
