Okay, So I might be getting a little addicted to writing.... Good or bad? I dont know. Very fun for me though. Especially the friends I make, and the connections and interactions that I get to have with you amazing people. This chapter goes out to MrsPercyJ. Thanks for the message, comments, and advice! Always love talking to my readers. (Oh, and I hated the lightning thief movie, because the book was SO much better, but... Face it... Logan Lerman. Sexy Child.... Grr.

ANYWAY!

CONTINUING!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up to the soft sound of beeping. I looked up, and saw Spenser's heart beating, and it put me at ease. I cuddled up a little closer, when I heard something that wasn't a beep.

Oh Shit.

A FREAKING NURSE! She was behind my back, so I couldn't see her at first, but she was checking Spencer's equipment the whole time! UGH! Couldn't we get some privacy?

She was a larger black woman, with warm eyes and smooth skin.

"Oh, Umm.. Hi" I said, with morning voice. Crackly and full of embarrassment.

"Shhh, Honey" She said smiling for no particular reason.

"So... I know what this looks like, and-"

"We don't wanna wake him up do we?" She said with a warm giggle.

"And don't worry, I'm not telling anyone. I think your adorable together. My name is Tracy, By the way."

"Oh... Thanks. I'm Jesse, and this is Spencer. " I said smiling.

"Well, duty calls. If you need anything, I would love to help you guys."

I smiled at her, and gave her a weak "OK".

She finished up, and then walked out of the room, closing the door quietly.

After she was gone, I went back to cuddling up to Spencer. I hope she doesn't tell anyone. Just because his parents don't like me, doesn't give me the right to be in bed with him... Cuddling that is.

You pervs.

At some point in the morning, I heard Spenser's voice, also crackly, probably from all the screaming.

"Well, Hi there" I said smiling

He smiled back. Then promptly threw up in a bag that was sitting on the side of the bed. I reached over, and started to gently scratch his back as he had his head in his hands.

"I feel light headed" He said drowsily.

"You were on some pretty powerful sleep meds last night... Doesn't surprise me. It should wear off in about a half hour. " I responded.

For some strange reason, even though we were in one of the worst places in the world right now, I felt happy. I don't know why. Maybe it was being with Spencer, just the two of us. Maybe it was the beautiful sight of Salt lake city outside his window.

Maybe it was morphine fumes.

I laughed to myself.

"Whats so funny?" Spencer asked.

"Oh, nothing. Do you want me to call up your parents?" I said back smiling, still scratching his back.

"Nah its good" he said. "They've had enough of a scare for one day. Lets let them sleep in."

We sat in silence, just looking at each other at sunrise for a few moments.

He broke first.. "There's a Wii in the Cupboard."

"Oh, Its on" I said back, going to grab the controllers.

After about an hour of Super Smash Bros Brawl, Spenser's parents walked in. I felt a little embarrassed because I'm sure my hair was a mess, and all around probably didn't look so good. We turned off the Wii, and began to talk.

"Ok, So here's the plan. They are going to allow Spencer to go home, and have permitted him to go to school, because of the temporary effects of his injury. They are going to keep him here until around 9 tonight, then were free to go." Said his dad. He was a very quiet man, so I was surprised and happy to hear his voice.

All of us sat and talked for a few minutes. Spencer sat back and let out a long sigh.

"I'm bored" he said.

"Don't worry, only...." I checked my watch "Seven and a half more hours of sitting!" I said sarcastically

.

"Your such a dork!" he said laughing, and throwing a pillow at me.

I threw it back, and immediately stopped laughing. Spencer was screaming again. I triggered a memory.

Spenser's parents ran to get a nurse. I ran over to him, and tried to assure him all was well. Which was hard to do, because I didn't know all was well.

A nurse ran in, and told us to just wait for it to wear off. Apparently, These things only last a few minutes tops.

As Spencer calmed down, I laid back down next to him, and let him fall into my arms. It hurt me to see him like this. But he calmed down, and before I knew it, he was back to normal.

I absolutely HATED him being so unpredictable. He just scared the living bajeebies out of me, and now he was completely normal, acting like nothing happened. But In a way, it was kind of nice. Being able to free himself from the worst possible experience in a matter of seconds. He was able to change his state, and in turn, change mine.

The rest of the day consisted of playing Wii, talking, and playing small games, like monopoly, sorry, and other stuff in his room. I really loved just talking. I loved learning more about him. At about 5:45, I had an idea.

"Be right back" I told him with a smirk.

"uhhh.... Okay." He replied with a confused smile.

I ran down the hallway, asked Tracy for a wheelchair, and she immediately got one. I snagged some scrubs from the nurses station when nobody was looking. I put them on, then wheeled it into the room. "Get on" I said with a suspicious face.

He gave me the funniest face ever.

I helped him sit up, and after some struggle, got him into the chair. I wrapped him in a blanket, and  Wheeled him into the elevator, and I led him through the maze that was the hospital.

"Put the blanket over your eyes." I said to him.

"Umm... Ok.." He obeyed, looking a little worried.

After a few more minutes of walking, he asked "Where are we, you crazy mofo? Remind me to never let you drive me again" He said laughing.

Eventually, after sneaking through a few restricted access doors, we reached the room I was looking for. There was another door on the other side, that I started to speed walk towards. Above it read large words:

ROOF ACCESS

I pushed the wheelchair access door, and the door at the end of the hallway slowly opened. When we stepped out, we were immediately hit in the face by the smell of fresh, beautiful air. Untainted from the screams and cries of misery that lied within the hospital.

He took off the blanket. Just the two of us looking over the salt lake valley at sunset.

And I had a beautiful view. And I'm not talking about the city.
