Hey everyone, here's the next chapter for you all. It unexpectedly got finished faster then what I had first anticipated, plus its longer than the last chapter. Doesn't such a surprise make you happy? :)

Anyways, enjoy!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aiden's P. O. V.

I had a sour taste in my mouth by the time my father pulled up into the parking lot of the school. A relieved expression made its way onto my face, replacing the bitter look that had been occupying it the whole ride to the school.

I quickly released my seat bell from its lock and placed my hand onto the car door knob, bag already slung over my shoulder, anxious to get out of this car with its stuffy air that suffocated me.

However, before I could open the door, my arm was grabbed in a tight grip, causing me to grimace in pain. I bit my lip, worry creasing my brow, but didn't turn my head to look back at my father, unable to bring myself to do so.

"Remember what I said, don't even dare to go near that faggot," Father warned.

I shuddered as I could feel his breath against the back of my neck. An ominous feeling that caused me to grow wary once again spread goosebumps along my skin.

"I know," I said through gritted teeth and yanked my arm away from his hand.

I then threw open the car door and hurried away, not bothering to close the door behind me. Anger radiated off me in waves, my fathers actions obviously causing me to almost lose my composer.

Hate filled me to the brim, and I wanted so badly to cry right now from how unfair my life had turned out to be, but I suppressed this urge to give into my weakness. Instead I breathed in and out deeply a few times and calmed my agitated nerves down.

Gripping my book bag strap, I put on a brave face and made my way into the school building.

However, I knew this courage wasn't going to last long, nor will I be able to do what my father wants of me.

The reason I say this is because I share four classes with Nathan, making it almost impossible for me not to interact with him, because a some point, I'll be forced to socialize with him, be it caused by external or internal workings.

And when that happen, if my father finds out, then there is no tell what he will do to me or Nathan when fueled by his anger.

I could only pray to whatever higher being out there guarding this universe, that Nathan won't try to talk to me. But I knew that this wish of mine would not come true even as I thought it.

I can always hope though.

I let out a sigh as I maneuvered the school hallways, my eyes scanning around as I searched for Nathan.

My plan was that whenever I see him, I'll avoid him like crazy, that way I won't have to deal with him as much. Of course, this wasn't the best of plans, as I still have to deal with him during class as well as lunch.

How long would I be able to keep such a pretense up before I fail miserable and screw us both over because of my incompetence.

That was the real question right there.

I probably won't even last a day, given Nathan's personality.

I'm sure Nathan will find some way to get me alone to talk to me. It was just a matter of time.

I couldn't help but be depressed because of this, as Nathan would know no better, as he has no idea about what my father said, or what my father would do when he realizes we've made contact.

Luckily, I didn't spot Nathan along the way to my classroom, it was only when I went into the classroom when I saw him. He was seated in his usual spot, the desk right next to mine.

My expression grew unsightly as I cursed my forgetfulness. How could I not remember that he sits right next to me for the first period.

It seems my chances of messing up just skyrocketed to a whole new level.

Clearing my face of emotion, I gaze silently at Nathan, glad that he hadn't noticed my presence just yet.

My eyes traveled over his face and marveled his good looks, and my heart couldn't help but squeeze painfully with desire as a fervent look filled my eyes.

Could I really go through with want my father demands of me.

Of course not.

How could I ever live without speaking or even being with Nathan for even a day.

That absolutely preposterous.

Well, at least that's what I would like to do, but I knew that this time around I would need to endure, if only for a little while until I could figure out a solution to get myself out of this mess, whenever that would be.

Shacking myself back to reality, I lowered my head and debated whether or not I should just skip this class, but then I realized that if I were to do that just to avoid him, then I would need to do that for each class I had with Nathan, and that was a no go.

My father would surly suspect that something was wrong, and in the worse case scenario, he might think that I was off doing what ever with Nathan, when in fact, it was the opposite.

Knowing my father and his crazy assumptions, that would be exactly the kind of conclusion he would think up.

And that was a risk I would rather not take.

So, with a sigh, I reluctantly made my way over to my desk.

Sensing my approach, Nathan looked up and his eyes brightened when they landed on me, causing my heart to palpate erratically from how warm and filled with concern it was.

However, I could only turn away from his gaze in shame and silently plead that he would not misunderstand me and my intentions.

As I did this, I could see the flash of confusion in his eyes, only to be replaced with speculation, then understanding, and I knew then and there that he at least had a vague idea as to why I was acting this way.

From the corner of my eye, I saw him nod his head and direct his attention to the front of the class.

I breathed out with slight relief and took my seat next to him, placing my backpack onto the floor by my feet as I did so. I dug into my back pack and pulled out my notebook and pencil and prepared for the lectures to come.

However, I knew that I won't be paying any attention to what my teacher will talk about today, from the way things were going, as I will be too distracted the whole time instead.

The teacher had yet to appear, and students were still filing in with less then five minutes to spare.

It was at this moment when a small piece of paper landed onto my desk, startling me. Looking down, I noticed it was from Nathan and quickly snatched it up, afraid that someone will notice it, my father's words echoing in my head.

I've got eyes everywhere...

These words have gotten me so paranoid that I couldn't help but glance around sporadically, as if there really was someone who was watching my every move.

Of course, I'm petty sure that there isn't anyone.

But one can never be too sure.

Opening up my palm, I looked over the words written on the paper.

Meet me in the library during lunch, it said.

Crumpling up the paper, I nodded my head at Nathan in agreement, then faced forward again as the teacher walked in and then began his lesson.

Knowing that Nathan wanted to meet up with me in secret like that, with the risk that my father may find out caused me to grow extremely worried, and I fidgeted throughout the period as my mind came up with all sorts of scenarios for how today will play out.

None of them had a good ending.

However, as the periods came and went, and lunch approached, I found myself calming down enough to think rationally.

I figured that even if my father finds out that I've met up with Nathan, there was no way he would actually be able to do anything to him, that his warning was just an empty threat.

See, what my father most prides himself for, is his image.

Although he despises me for being gay, this sexual preference of mine has yet to cause him to lose any face for his job and whatnot. Whereas, if he were to harm Nathan in any way, then this could cause his reputation to take a major turn for the worse if the police, or even his workplace found out about it.

Thinking this, I was reassured that at least nothing bad would happen to Nathan.

Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same for myself.

I grimaced at the thought of the consequences I would face back home behind those closed doors once my father finds out about this meeting from whoever is posing as his spy.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Jake himself doing the tattle telling, as that's what he does best, I thought spitefully.

I then sighed and looked over to the clock to see that lunch has arrived, and it the next second the bell signaling it went off and everyone sprang up and rushed to be the first in line.

That is, except for me.

I stayed in my seat and watched the students disperse out the classroom with a somber face.

Once everyone was gone, I stood up and made my way to the library, getting there within less then five minutes time.

As I opened the door, I scanned around for Nathan.

I didn't have to look far.

I found him leaning up against one of the library tables by the entrance, and the moment I opened the door, he glanced up and immediately came rushing to my side when he spotted me.

He grabbed my wrist in a gentle grip and ushered me over to a secluded part of the library where no one was around, before seating me onto a chair.

Nathan then faced me with a stern glare, a small frown adorning his handsome face, and crossed his arms across his chest.

"Aiden, I want you to tell me what's going on. How come you didn't call me last night like I asked you to do?" Nathan asked, his eyes were tight from stress and worry.

I could see his gaze roaming around my body, and it was obvious to me what he was looking for. He was searching for any signs of bruising or any indication that I have been abused by my father in any way.

Fortunately for me, there was none, as I'd have to worry about Nathan beating my Father up, or possibly worse, straight up killing him.

I took a deep breath, then released it slowly, steadying myself, before opening up my mouth and answering his question. "I would have called, like I promised to do, if it weren't for the fact that my father took away my phone."

"What!?" Nathan exclaimed, his brows reaching his hairline as shock overtook his face.

"And that's not all," I continued, giving Nathan a solemn look, causing his expression to turn increasingly grim, "he also took away my car. He'll now be dropping me off, and picking me up from school."

"Do you know for how long?" Nathan asked with a bitter, apologetic smile, no doubt thinking that this was all his fault.

I shook my head. "No idea, probably for as long as I live in that house. It wouldn't surprise me if that ends up being the case. I'd be just like my father to do that," I replied.

Nathan let out a resigned sigh, as if he too expected this outcome from my father as well.

"Well, at least he didn't transfer you out of this school like I had originally thought he would. What he's done is no where near as bad as that," Nathan commented with relief.

"True, it would have been much worse if he tried that. But then again, I would not agree to the transfer no matter what," I retorted, determination sparking in my eyes when I said this.

"As neither would I stand for it," Nathan agreed. "Anyways, the phone problem shouldn't be too much of a problem, as I can always buy you a temporary phone and your father would never even know that I've done that. However, there's nothing I can do for you regarding your car. For now, you'll just have to endure being driven back and forth by your father. Its going to suck doing that, but it won't be for long, hopefully."

I nodded my head in understanding. "Yeah, I figured I'd have to just deal with that annoyance for now. But, are you sure about buying me a phone?"

"Yeah. Besides, I'll just buy a cheap one, so you don't need to worry about me spending a lot of money on an expensive phone. I just ask that you be careful about using it around your father. We don't want him suspecting anything."

"Got it," I replied with a grateful smile, thankful for Nathan and is help, as I needed all I could get.

Silence then overtook us as we were both momentarily lost in thought, it was then when Nathan spoke up.

"Now Aiden, I'm going to ask you a serious question, and its imperative that you answer with the upmost truth, got it?"

"Yeah," I said, already having a vague idea of what was on his mind.

"He didn't do anything to you now did he?" Nathan questioned fiercely, his eyes blazing with anger. "Because if he even so much as touched a hair on your head, he's a dead man!"

I blinked up at Nathan, who looked as if he really would do what he just said, and warmth spread through me, filling me with a sense of security.

I let out a small sigh and gently shook my head. "No, he didn't harm me in any way. All he did was ground me, take away my phone and car, like I already informed you of, and... I'm not allowed to see you anymore."

"To hell with that," Nathan growled, annoyance clear in his eyes.

"My thoughts exactly," I chuckled in amusement.

However, I knew that if we were to see each other, as there was no way we would be able to keep away from each other, then we would have to be extra careful about it.

As I thought this, I secretly began to plan of ways to outsmart my father in my head, taking into consideration all of his connections while I did so.

There's no way I'm taking this grounding like the obedient little child that my father wants me to be.

Humph, he lost the privilege to boss me around a long time ago, there's no way I'm going to let him do what he wants now, especially when it involves Nathan.
