Hey everyone, sorry for the really late post. Shit happened and I got too busy to write. Life. :/

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter, even though nothing really happens.

Its also short than usual.

Lol.

-----------------------------------------

Aiden's P. O. V.

The moment the bell sounded, signaling the end of the school day, my brow creased as tension built in my shoulder muscles.

Slowly I packed my belongings into my bag and exited the classroom.

As everyone else hurried to get home, I seemed to be the only one wishing that school was longer, as I dreaded the very thought of going back to that house.

As I walked down the hallway, my mind conjured all sorts of terrifying outcomes that could manifest with my return to home.

For example, what if my father had somehow found out about my meet with Nathan during lunch?

What would be the consequences of such an action?

Would my father really go so far as to physically harm Nathan because I made contact with him?

It was indeed a horrifying possibility.

One that I wished not to see.

These thoughts ran through my mind, causing anticipation to set my nerves on edge as I reluctantly made my way over to the school parking lot.

Opening up the double doors that led to the outside world, my eyes scanned the vicinity, keenly keeping an eye out for my father's car within the area.

However, I did not see a trace of his car.

Furrowing my brows, I came to the realization that I might be spending quite some time waiting for my father to show up, as he does have a job he must attained.

And, even though my father is quite high up in the food chain within his workplace, he can't very well leave work early just to come pick me up.

Knowing my Father's schedule, I was indeed looking at a good hour or two before he appears.

I debated what to do next.

Should I just wait right here, or go spend my time more productively until my father arrives?

After much thought, I decided to head over to the library until my father came.

I then spun on my heels and made my way back into the school and up the stairs to get to the library.

Hopping onto a computer, for the next few hours, all I did was homework, managing to finish most of my assignments by the time a message stating that my father was here to pick me up sounded through the schools PA system.

Logging off the library computer with a resigned look, I meet up with my father in front of the school's main office , where we then headed to the parking lot.

There was no conversation between us.

No, how was school today? Or, what did you eat for lunch?

No such questions that a normal, loving parent would ask their child came out of his mouth.

Only uncomfortable silence the whole way back home.

I could only stare nervously out the passenger window as I endlessly wondered if my father had somehow found out about my secret meeting with Nathan.

However, luckily for me, no such subject came up as we came to a stop in front of our home, which led me to believe that my father hadn't found out about Nathan and I's meet up.

This caused my confidence to take a huge boost, as I now knew that my father didn't have as much influence, or 'eyes' wherever to watch me if I did meet up with Nathan, as he had led me to believe at first.

I could only inwardly celebrate this newfound discover as I walked into the house, as my father was still within sight.

However, as I departed from him and walked up the stairs and to my room, I could hardly keep myself from grinning broadly joyfully.

Unfortunately, this happiness didn't last long as I couldn't help but remind myself to not get too excited, as I could have only been lucky this time around with not being seen.

Perhaps my father just hadn't of thought that I would disobey him so soon after his warning and was possibly lying in wait for when I screw up later on.

This thought sure sobered me up and turned me cautious.

I began to think then, that I might not be as safe to sneak around as I would like to think.

These thoughts persisted through the night, causing me to worry even through dinner and during sleep, giving me a restless night.

However, one good thing came of this night, and it was the fact that my father still hadn't said anything to my mother of my 'situation.'

However, I had a feeling, that if I get caught in the act of being with Nathan, then she'll come to know quite fast and clearly of my sexual preference.

Which gave me even more of a reason not to get caught, and only made me that much more careful for the future.

***

The rest of the week went by relatively peacefully since Jake wasn't around to bother us and my father seemed to do everything within his power not to associate with me outside picking me and dropping me off at school, and during meal times, mostly dinner though.

However, although the days went more smoothly than I had first anticipated, there were a few small surprises.

One being Samuel.

Surprisingly, and ironically, Samuel is apparently gay, and is tragically in love with Jake.

I find this shocking because I had been friends with him for so long, but had gotten not one whiff of his feelings towards Jake, or knowledge that he was gay.

I wonder exactly, how he could have hidden that side of him so perfectly.

But then again, I had done the exact same thing.

Another thing is that Nathan had invited Samuel to our lunch table, which could only mean he wanted us to befriend the poor guy. Of course, I was not there to see this, as I did not want to give my father a reason to go after my other friends too.

Though I would of loved to be there to see the priceless looks on Kyle, Zack, and Mia's face when Nathan explained Samuels situation to them. I'm sure I would have had a nice laugh.

As another side note, Nathan bought me a new phone that I could use to contact him secretly like he had said he would do, which made all this much more bearable.

The phone was a cheap one, cost about $50 or so, and ran off monthly minutes, which I planned to pay for out of my own pocket of course. Can't have him paying for everything, as I'm the one who got us in this mess in the first place.

So far, I've used this phone only twice in the past couple of days, and it had only been when I knew for sure that no one was around and watching, or even ease dropping.

This especially applies to my father or those associated with him in the slightest.

I'm very careful not to get caught.

And, however annoying all this sneaking around is, I only needed to remind myself that it's only for a few more months, and I would calm right back down and continue on with my life. Because, once I graduate, I'll be off to college and living in its dormitories.

Away from anyone troublesome and free of my father's influence.

For the most part anyways.

Letting out a tired sigh, I packed up my belongings into my back pack and headed out of the library and to the parking lot, where my father was waiting stiffly for me like usual inside his car, a cold expression on his face.

Like routine, I climbed into the passenger side of the car and numbly stared outside the car window at the passing scenery, hoping that all continues to go well for me in the future.

However... This wish of mine, it doesn't come true.

Hey everyone, sorry for the short chapter, but I didn't want to spoil any of the exciting details of what will be happening next chapter!

Aren't cliff hangers just great? :3

Anywho, V/C/F. :)

Until next time, peace out.
