Hey everyone, here's the new chapter. :D

I hope you all enjoy it very much.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aiden's P. O. V.

It was the end of the school day, and the weekend starts tomorrow.

I can't even say I was excited, as my father had already informed me that I would not be stepping one foot outside. And if I did, there would be sever consequences.

I was afraid to find out what he meant by the 'sever' part.

Although I had an idea already about what he would possibly do, I just didn't want to speculate all sorts of crazy outcomes at the moment, just in case I'm either right, or completely wrong.

I did tend to have a wild imagination.

However, putting all that aside, I at least had one thing to look forward to for the weekend, and that was being able to call Nathan.

Of course, I had to make sure that my father wasn't around for it.

Or my mother...

I cleared my thoughts of her, as thinking of her caused me to be unsure, as well as have great sadness for the fact that not only is she completely ignorant of what's going on with me, but also my father as well.

It really would make one feel bad for her, as she's going to be caused much suffering once she finds everything out.

The thought of it made my stomach clench with unease and anticipation to course through me.

The future did not look very bright for me.

Shaking my head of such negativity, I looked at the time and realized that it was almost time for my father to come pick me up.

Shutting off the library computer, I got up and made my way over to the parking lot to wait for my father. However, I unexpectedly got stopped along the way by our principle, Linda.

She spotted me out in the main hall as I headed towards the parking lot, she herself leaving for the day, and stopped me to chat.

"How have you been lately Aiden?" She asked, concern in her eyes.

She more or less knew of my situation, so I wasn't all that surprised by the deeper meaning to her question.

"I'm holding up," I said vaguely.

She gave me a somewhat disbelieving look, obviously not believing my words all that much, but that's to be expected.

I wasn't planning on telling her the whole truth of my situation, because it would only make things worse off for me.

"Alright," she then said dismissively, much to my relief, but her eyes held the desire to know more, and I'm sure this won't be the last time she brings this up. "Moving on. Jake will be coming back next week," she mentioned offhandedly.

I raised a brow in her direction. "I know, what about it?" I questioned.

"Well, since you do know, then that means you won't deliberately cause any trouble with him when he's back, or, at least keep it to a minimum. I do not want to have to keep calling you guys into my office all the time," Linda responded with a raised warning of a brow.

"Trust me, he's the last person I want to deal with anymore. I'm staying as far away from that asshole as possible. He's already caused me enough problems," I grumbled.

"But of course, if he were to start something again, then that's a different story. It'd be best if you warn him to stay away from me as well," I added with a sidelong glance her way.

Linda chuckled and nodded her head. "I'll make sure to do that."

She then bid me farewell and walked away.

I watched her departing figure with a slight frown on my face, before then taking leave myself and continuing on my way to the parking lot.

I had not particularly enjoyed my talk with Linda, as she had only added another stress factor onto my plate.

Although it gave me time to prepare, it also caused me to worry.

I did not need more worrying.

I've been doing enough of that recently.

Jake was a potential threat to my plans. A large road block in the way of my path to happiness.

The reason I say this is because of the danger he could possibly pose.

He could cause me trouble. Bring minor boys bed to me for the remainder of my time at this school.

Or, worsted of all, he could become my father's spy.

A grimace worked its way on my face after such a thought, as there would be no way to stop Jake from doing such a thing, as why wouldn't Jake take up such an offer.

Not only does Jake hate me now, he also despises the fact that I'm gay.

I'm sure it would bring him great joy to ruin my life even more so.

My life would literately be in the palms of his hands

Jake could lie to my father and say that I'm meeting up with Nathan and doing all sorts of things with him, causing my demise.

It's as simple as that.

Or, he could become my savior and report to my father that I am not in contact with Nathan and whatnot.

However, the later was simply too good to be true of a situation.

I could only wait and see what happens.

And pray...

Looking up, I noticed that the parking lot was now in front of me, and I must have unexpectedly arrived while deep in thought.

I could see my father standing outside his car in the distance, talking adamantly onto his phone. He was waving his arms in what seemed to be anger or frustration, a dark scowl on his face.

My stomach dropped, and nervous trickles of sweat make its way down my back.

What was he so angry about?

Was it about me? Or possibly work related?

I hoped for the latter as I made my way over to my father, who soon noticed my approach.

His mood seemed to darken at the mere sight of me, and I couldn't tell if this was just the usual reaction, or something more.

My stomach only seemed to grow more upset.

"Get in already," Father barked as he got inside and slammed the driver side car door closed.

Reluctantly, I got into the passenger side of the car. I hadn't of even settled down into the seat before my father took off. He sped out the parking lot and towards home, driving in an almost reckless manner.

I held tightly onto my chair as I nervously watched the road, almost half expecting to end up in a car crash.

I desperately wondered what it was that was causing my father to act in such a way, as he was never so purposefully careless while driving.

An angry silence filled the atmosphere in the car, and I was afraid to say anything in case I set him off.

I couldn't have been more relieved when we got home and escaped into the house as soon as he parked. I did not want to stick around my father when he was in such a mood, especially if the cause of his mood is me.

I would be courting death if I were to stay near him.

However, it seems like I wasn't the cause for his rage this time around.

It was work related.

I knew so because he would have confronted me if I was the one at fault.

I stayed in my room until dinner, but what await me was not a pretty sight. Mother was still at work, so it was my turn to cook, as my father did not like cooking, and the first thing that I see when I walk downstairs is my father sitting on the living room couch watching T.V. with a beer in his hand.

The moment I saw this scene a feeling of agitation overwhelmed me, as well as fear. I was pissed that he was reverting back to his old self, and afraid of what he would do once he was back to that old state.

At the moment, I had no idea how many beers he had indulged himself in.

3, 5, more...

Either way, I knew that tonight was not going to be peaceful.

I couldn't have been more right.

He was normal throughout dinner. Well, not exactly normal, I guess. He was actually more quiet, as if he was brooding over something, always with a drink in hand. When he finished one, he would go get another. He was also a lot less intimidating. I probably felt this way towards him because he had yet to do anything threatening to me.

However, I remained cautious, as that attitude could change in a heartbeat.

I was right to act like this, as not long after dinner ended, and I had escaped to my room again, when everything changed.

I don't know what set him off. Maybe all that thinking about whatever, work... me, might have set him off.

I heard a crash and a yell of rage, and a terrified scream, and jumped up from my bed and ran downstairs, panicked. My mind raced as it tried figure out what it heard.

The scream, I recognized as my mothers.

I grew scared.

And livid.

Because, if my father had done something to my mother while he was in this intoxicated state, which was highly likely, then he was going down, no matter the cost.

I will not allow anymore abuse to happen towards my mom.

I can handle the abuse being directed towards me. I'm strong enough to take whatever my father throws at me.

But my mother not so much...

The fear grew even stronger as I rounded the corner to the living room, where the noise was coming from, and what I saw, I did not like one bit.
