Getting Ready To Go To A Gay Bar...
[Hannah's POV]
Amazing!! I can't believe I'm here with my Feenie Bear. Hey! Don't make fun of my nickname for Phoenix! He's my super bestie; known him all my life. I missed him so much. I know it's only been a couple of weeks since he left Texas, but I've been miserable without him. He is so much fun and understands me completely. People just see the Hannah that's cute, preppy and always bubbly. No one understands that I'm usually pretty depressed because my older brother Matt died a year ago when he was in Iraq. Only Phoenix knows how to comfort me.
I came to England because I've missed Feenie Bear; there is also something I haven't told him. I'm afraid of how he'll react. If I tell Phoenix, he'll get all hysterical like he always does when he thinks he needs to protect me. Phoenix doesn't know and neither do my parents. If my parents found out, they'd get all crazy too and probably lock me in my room forever. Ugh!!!!!!!!!
"Feenie Bear, there's something I need to tell you..."
Phoenix: "What Hannah Bear?" (He smiles)
"I wuv you so so very much. You are the sun and I am the moon." (Laughs hysterically)
Phoenix: "Oh, Hannah. You crazy little girl."
"Hey!!! I'm not a little girl. I'm a big girl now. Well not a tall girl but you know what I mean."
Phoenix: "HAHAHAHAHA!!!! You ready, big girl? We'll not only be fashionably late. We'll be mega, massively late!!"
"Oh shut up! I'm almost ready! You can't be late to a gay bar. You're early no matter what time you get there. What's the name of the bar, again?"
Phoenix: "The Coven II. Don't look so excited! You'll scare Nick if he see's how your eyeballs are almost popping out."
"Whatever. I haven't been to a gay bar in a while. I have a right to be excited! Yay me!!!"
(Phoenix smirks while shaking his head)
Phoenix: "Come on hun. You're perfect. Ugh you're so conceited." (Smiles)
Phoenix: "I really missed you Hoe."
"I missed you too Feenie Bear..." (Smiles)
At the gay bar...
"Omg! It's so loud in here. I think I’m going to go deaf!"
Phoenix: "Oh shut up! You wanted to come. This is your scene baby!"
"Let's dance, dance, dance, dance, dance..."
Phoenix: "Yay us!" (Shrieks dramatically)
Ooo... I really like this place. Plenty of hot guys. Too bad most of them wouldn't want me. Haha I'm such a loser right. Woo!! I'm dancing. I forgot how good of a dancer Feenie Bear was. I wonder what mom and dad would think if they knew I was here at a club at 10 pm. They can't stand when I'm out past 9:30. Daddy is so over protective. Ugh! That makes me wish I could leave so far away that my parents could never find me. I couldn't leave them even if I tried. I'm sixteen, still in school and I don't work. I guess I'll be stuck in Texas forever...
"Babe isn't this place great?!"
Phoenix: "Yeah. It's one of the nicest clubs I've ever been to. Lots of hot guys and well, the night is young. Might have to snatch one up or maybe two." (He smiles devilishly)
"You should. You’re kind of a grump now. You need to have some fun."
Phoenix: "What!!! I'm not a grump. I probably just look serious because I have a lot on my mind."
"Aha... If you say so..."
Ooo... A really cute guy is coming our way. I think Phoenix should definitely give this guy a chance. Wowsa! He's super hot!
Stranger: "Hey hot stuff. I'm Tyler and you are?" (Says with a cocky smile)
Phoenix: "It doesn't matter. I'm not interested."
Stranger: Ouch! Haha it's alright mate. There's a lot of hotness in here anyway."
He walked away without giving a second glance. Ugh! He's such an idiot. Especially if he thinks he can find someone better than Phoenix. He seems like a loser anyway. Hopefully someone better will come along. We continued dancing as my song, "Where have you been" by Rihanna comes on. OMG! I love this song; I've been totally hooked since I first heard. Everyone at school thinks I'm totally crazy because I sing it all the time, everywhere. I don't care. I'm Hannah Jackson and I can do anything I want. Humph. School isn't as fun because Feenie Bear is gone. My other half is gone and it hurts. I've missed our all nighters, pig outs, club nights, movie nights, etc. He's been my best friend since kindergarten. Our moms went to college together. We're like super connected and now my confident is so far gone. I feel him distant now. He must be thinking about Nick. Poor baby. I have to see what I can do to get these two together. They're obviously super inlike and I have to do something before it's too late. Maybe he shouldn't take some hot guy home. Hmm...
Phoenix: "Hannah, we should go home. It's already twelve."
"Oh come on Feenie Bear. Don't be a party pooper. One more hour please..."
"We should get some hotty to dance with us. Yes?" (I beg)
Phoenix: "Okay. One guy; one dance and we'll leave no later than 12:30."
"Fine... Whatever you say master. I'll be right back."
Phoenix: "Where are you going?"
"I'm recruiting a hotty. Ooo... That one by the bar will definitely have to do."
I head towards the bar before he chickens out. Ugh. Feenie Bear is not the same Phoenix I knew a couple of weeks ago. That Phoenix would have at least danced with 5 guys and we would be staying until closing. Poor baby; he must be really miserable. Yay! I'm finally at the bar. I ask the guy if he'll dance with me and my bestie. He agrees after I point to Phoenix. He must like what he sees. We head over to Feenie Bear. He has a fake smile on. Well of course I'm the only one who can tell when he's not really smiling. I introduce the hotty. His name is John. I don't really care for his name. Haha Yeah, I'm a meanie. I need Feenie Bear to loosen up.
Stranger (John): I'm John. What's your name?"
Phoenix: "Phoenix. Nice to meet you John. Let's dance."
Feenie Bear grabs John and I. We start to dance, Feenie Bear in the middle, John in the front and I in the back. We're a mini-train. Haha Aww.. Feels like the good old days with Feenie Bear as a dancing slut and I, his wing- woman. (Smiles at memories) My Feenie Bear seems to be enjoying himself. Wowsa! He has John pressed tightly to his body. Did I just hear John moan or was that Phoenix? Anyways, as the song ends, Feenie Bear pushes John off of him slightly. John wants to dance longer but Phoenix says that we're leaving. John asks for Phoenix's number ,but Phoenix grabs me by the wrist and we head towards the front door without looking back.
Geesh! Feenie Bear; you didn't have to be so rude. I'm definitely giving him a good talking to when we get back to his room. Grr...
Back in Phoenix's Room...
"What was that back there?!"
Phoenix: "What was what back where?" (He says with a serious face)
"What's wrong with you? You were such a douche. You didn't have the decency to tell the guy no and goodbye. That was so rude, so not like you!"
Phoenix: "I'm sorry..." (He whispers with sadness as he drops his head a bit)
I grab his face with both hands and ask, "What's wrong baby. What's on your mind?"
He doesn't say anything. I repeat the question; after I do, a tear stains his right cheek. Oh my God! What's wrong with my Feenie Bear? I haven't seen him this sad since he found out his puppy ran away when he was 7. I grabbed him and hugged him tightly. I shushed him and comforted him while he continued to cry and sniffle. What could be bothering him so much that he couldn't even enjoy a night at a gay bar.
"It's going to be okay baby. You can tell me anything. Mamma Hannah is here. It's alright honey," I said into his ear.
When he still didn't say anything, I took his hand, sat on the bed and brought him on my lap. He put his head on my chest and continued to cry. As he cried, I felt tears rolling down my cheeks as well. I can't stand to see my baby cry. He shouldn't be crying. I'm here for goodness sake! When his crying came to only sniffles, I took his face in my hand and look deep into his eyes, see if I could read anything from them. So much anger, pain, confusion and sadness dwelled within those beautiful orbs.
"Now can you tell me what's wrong?"
Phoenix: "I miss everything. My house. My friends. My school. My family. My parents. Why did they have to send me away? What did I do wrong?" He continued to sob while talking.
"It's not your fault baby. You didn't do anything wrong. Your parents just think this place is perfect for you. The school offers so many more programs than the school back home."
Phoenix: "Home. That's where I should be. Home."
Ugh. I can't stand to see my baby like this. It's killing me to see him in so much pain.
[Nick's POV]
As I was about to knock on Phoenix's door, I here lots of crying. Sounds like two different people are crying. Ugh it’s my poor Phoenix and his girlfriend Hannah. She is his girlfriend right? I always hear them call each other babe and he's not gay so yeah. I'm such a cabbage (idiot). I'm still sprung on Phoenix even after his best friend got here. She's attractive and seems like fun. I want Phoenix to be happy so if she's his happiness then that's fine.
Wait, what am I saying. He sounds likes he's miserable. I put my ear to the door and listened intently at what he was saying. He misses his family, friends, and his school. Poor chap, he is massively homesick. If he continues to cry like that, he will make himself ill. Should I knock on the door? No. He has his girlfriend to comfort him.
I head back to my room and begin to cry as well. Ugh... I'm leaking now. My poor Phoenix is suffering so much and I can't do anything to help him. I can't tell him that I'm here for him, that I am willing to listen to whatever he has to say. I want to tell him that I care about him as more than a friend ,but I can't. He has a girlfriend and I shouldn't get in the middle of that. I'm not that guy. A person who'll ruin someone else's relationship just to get what I want. I won't tell him that I'm falling for him even if it kills me.
