Tyler~

Again!

He was doing it, AGAIN!

I shoved Max away and wiped my mouth on my sleeve.

“Will you cut that out you mole!” I growled, temper flaring. Max stumbled back from my shove and tripped, landing on his butt on the grass. Suddenly everyone outside was looking at us. A few of the girls yelped.

“He hurt Max,” someone cried. One of his new fangirls. Suddenly Vee was at my side, pulling me away. She grabbed my face with both hands and looked in my eyes.

“Sweetheart, chill,” she told me, and I melted away.

“I'm sorry,” I said, bowing my head with shame. I don't what had gotten into me.

Actually, I did.

When Max kissed me my senses, emotions, and adrenaline were amplified.

Max got up and brushed himself off, he was smiling at me like nothing had happened. Vee stood back as he walked towards me, and my eyes went wide as Max grabbed me by the shoulders and shoved me up against a wall. He held his head lips just before mine and I could feel the heat. The remnants of the last kiss still had my body on edge.

I was shaking, the intensity he was looking at me...

“You can be with Vienna all you want. Hide from me, avoid me. But I'm not going to stop kissing you every chance I get. Remember that,” Max whispered so only I could hear. I could feel his breath on my lips. I gulped, and Max walked away.

I slid to the ground, eyes wide, and Vee laughed at me.

“I told you you were gay,” Vienna laughed. I frowned at her and got up.

“What are you talking about woman?” I groaned, grabbing her hand and going back over to Marco, who looked pretty conflicted. His lips were pulled halfway between a grin and a grimace. Obviously he was trying to decide whether what he'd just seen was amusing or disgusting.

I felt a bit the same myself actually.

“So what did you think of the kiss Marco? Hot right? Now you and Gunner have to hook up,” Vee chuckled, slightly smug.

“Why do I have to have Gunner? Why can't I have Tyler?” Marco snapped, Vee shrugged.

“Tyler has Max,” she said like it was the most simple and obvious thing in the world. A shudder ran through me. I wasn't so sure I had Max as much as I was sure Max had me.

Vienna touched my knee, making me look up at her. She was smiling, but I knew she had a hidden agenda.

“We need to talk,” she said to me softly. Marco leaped to his feet.

“Whoa whoa, keep me out of that heavy stuff,” he said in a rush and hurried off to class ten minutes early. I nodded to my 'girlfriend' for her to continue.

“About you and Max,” she spoke gently, sounding each word out. Oh god, here we go...

“Vee, you don't have to worry about that. I don't like him, I don't like guys okay? You don't have to feel worried or threatened,” I tried to explain, but she shook her head.

“No dumb dumb, I was gonna say that I'm okay with it,” she stated plainly. I was stunned.

“What? Have you finally gone crazy?” I cried. She laughed and wriggled closer so she was facing me directly and our knees touched each others.

“No, I'm not any crazier than normal, but anyway. I'm okay with it, considering I've been trying to convince you, Marco and Gunner you're all gay for each other for how long now? Of course I'm okay with it. I mean there's nothing I can do if Max is the one forcing himself onto you, even if you say you don't like it. But as soon as it gets serious, you have to let me know okay?” Vee said calmly, like this was actually a SANE matter.

“You're seriously lost it,” I laughed, shaking my head in dismay at her. She laughed and pressed her forehead to mine.

“No, you're just living in Egypt swimming in the river of Denial.”

Vienna was wrong of course, but I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt just to keep the peace. The only time Vee and I ever actually fight is when she's informing me I've got it bad for some new guy in my life.

~

I lounged on the couch, staring at the blank screen on the TV. The remote was on the side stand a few meters away from me, and I seriously couldn't be bothered going and getting it. Besides, the blank channel was my favourite channel!

I was home alone in my uncle's apartment, because he was off... doing whatever it is he does for a social life. My uncle is 34 years old and still he goes off to clubs and stuff, on a school night, and he's supposed to be the principal of a school full of teenagers. Talk about bad influence. Lucky not many people actually knew about it.

I wondered if Neil was out on a date with Ms Receptionslut in the flesh. Yikes, I didn't even want to think about it. In fact, I didn't want to think about my uncle getting it on with anyone, full stop.

Family is just like that I guess.

DING DONG!

Went the doorbell to the flat. I groaned, didn't anyone know I was being lazy right now? I wasn't sure who it would be because a), Neil had a key to his own apartment, and b), any one of my friend's would have called or text first. Maybe it was that batty woman in block 2 asking me for more milk.

The ringing continued, so I decided it was better not to ignore it. I got up slowly and reluctantly, and went to the door across the room. I unlocked it and then opened it, loosing my chin on the floor somewhere.

“Hey, mind if I come in?” Max said, pushing past me into the apartment. I stared stunned after him as he made his way across the room and sat on the couch right where I'd just been sitting. I closed the door and stormed over to him.

“What the hell man?” I asked, but Max just stared up at me innocently. “How did you even know I was here?” I added, wondering aloud and less aggressively. Max lunged forward and grabbed my hand, yanking me down onto the couch beside him. I shoved myself away from him, opening my mouth to shout at him, but he just grinned and held up a plastic bag.

“I heard you were here alone all night, so I rented some movies to watch and bought some dinner. Have you eaten? Do you like Chinese?” he explained, placing the bag on the coffee table and going through it. Suddenly the smell of the fast food hit me and my stomach groaned. Oh my god, so yummy.

I decided Max could stay.

“Here,” he said, handing me the three DVD covers to look at, “Pick one!” I grabbed them and flicked through while he got out the food and then white plastic forks. The smell of the food was killing me.

Avatar, Star Trek, and Star Wars II... how did he know? It wasn't just a coincidence that they happened to all have aliens in them...

I decided on Star Wars because it was a total classic. I could recite it word for word, which was a good thing, in case Max turned out to be a movie talker. I got up and put it on.

“So how did you know I was alone?” I asked casually, trying to make conversation because I was feeling kind of awkward right now. The last few times Max and I have been alone didn't end so well.

“Vienna text me and said you need company,” Max explained, taking a piece of sweet and sour duck on his fork and putting it in his mouth. Yeah, I bet she did. I bet she was all too keen to get Max over here. She probably even paid for all this by herself, just to get him to come. Though I had no doubt Max needed persuading.

I quickly sat back down and dug into the special fried rice, which was my favourite. It was so good, like freaking bliss for your mouth. I ate nearly the entire rice to myself before the credits had finished rolling at the beginning.

We ate everything, and then the movie finished and I was feeling like something sweet. Max was relaxed beside me, still watching the credits roll by. I bit my lip and thought about it. I'm pretty sure there was some white chocolate choc chip ice-cream in the freezer, and Max had seemed fine enough eating the Chinese human food. Not that I cared.

So I stood and said, “Do you want some ice-cream?” Max lifted his eyes from the screen and turned them to me, his smile returning and making me feel self-conscious again.

“Sounds great,” he said casually. He was really getting the hang of all this human talk and lingo. Next thing you know he'll be saying 'mate' and walking around in thongs. I nodded and went over to the fridge/freezer, getting out the ice-cream and then two bowls and metal spoons.

I had my back to the living room, working near the sink, so I didn't see Max move. I didn't even know he had until suddenly he was pressed against my back. His arms came around the front and he hugged me from behind. I froze, rigid.

Two thoughts crossed my mind the moment Max did this.

The first, 'Max is really warm'.

The second, 'OHMYGOD he's touching me'.

Max chuckled and rested his forehead over my shoulder. He was slightly taller than me, so he did this easily. I could feel his breath brushing across to my neck and creeping under my shirt.

“The ice-cream is going to melt,” I said because it was the first thing I could think of to say. I turned around, but Max didn't move like I'd expected him to, and now we were facing each other and he was holding me. I felt so... so...

“I'm sorry,” Max said softly, making me frown.

“For what?” I asked, even though I guessed it was for everything he's done to me since he arrived.

“For this,” he said, taking me off guard. Then he leant forward and held his lips over mine.

A shudder ran through me, and this time it wasn't shock. I'd been expecting him to make a move on me all night that this advance came as no surprise.

Because I'd been expecting it, I didn't force Max away from me. And he wasn't holding me tight enough that I had to free myself either. I just stood there, his warm mouth almost against mine, and thought.

My thought process went something like this.

Max is trying to kiss me again.

Vee would be filming this if she was here.

Why did she want me to get with Max so bad anyway?

Why do I care?

Why am I thinking about this stuff when a guy is trying to kiss me?

Why am I not so bothered anymore?

Actually, it's not like it feels bad or anything.

Though it's a little strange.

Is that just because it's new, or because he's a guy?

Max's hand moved up my back and stopped between my shoulder blades, pulling me slightly closer towards him. I didn't respond, I didn't move, his lips just stayed too close to mine. A surge of something, I assumed it was the energy boost, though our lips didn't actually touch, washed through me.

I felt... dizzy.

Max pulled away and sighed, running a hand back through his hair. I guess my reaction hadn't been what he expected. He stood a few paces back and looked away from me, out across the room. I studied him for a while. It wasn't like being with Max felt bad or anything. He was a alien, but, he seemed so human at times that I forgot.

I titled my head to the side, and Max's cheeks flushed. Oh my god, was he blushing? I was making him blush? But he always seemed so... in control and cool and stuff.

An idea struck me and I moved forward towards Max. He looked at me and frowned.

“I want to try something,” I said and he nodded, “So don't move.” He nodded again and stood there, waiting. I walked right up to him so that we were as close as we'd been just now. He didn't move, just like he promised, and I held my lips before his.

Was I really going to kiss him?

I closed the distance and pressed my lips to Max's in response to my thought's question. It was a different feeling making the advance myself. I didn't feel so powerless and trapped this time. I lifted my hand up and cupped Max's cheek, kissing him a little firmer to test it out.

It didn't feel bad, he didn't taste bad. Actually, it was kind of... nice.

Holy Christ, I can't believe it but... I actually liked this.

The moment I realised this I wrapped my other arm around Max's waist and pulled him closer, kissing him harder. His entire body seemed to scream out with joy, and I felt a little giddy with him being so happy. His hand ran down my side and I gasped at his touch, sending shivers through me. Max took advantage of me then, and deepened the kiss to something on the European side of things.

I moaned... then froze. Why did I moan? Why did it feel good? Max's tongue was running over mine and my stomach started doing back flips.

Then reality hit me.

I pushed Max away and gasped for air.

I couldn't believe what I'd just been doing.

When I started to laugh, Max laughed too.

“What's so funny?” he asked me curiously, I shook my head and eased up a little.

“I guess Vienna was right after all,” I scoffed.

Dun dun dun!!! Did you find it? haha it was a bit hard to miss, but still! Okay so, too early for Tyler to be liking it? Or just right? *wiggles eyebrows suggestively* Oh yeah, you're goldilocks baby!!!

Mouki out~
