This is the epilogue of I hart you too. This chapter is especially long because i just couldnt stop writing. I love these characters so much and i cant believe I've finally finished after 10 months. 

Thank you for supporting this book, i cant believe I've gotten over 5700 reads, 100 comments and 235 votes. You guys really helped me and encouraged me to complete my first book.

I'm really proud of how this book turned out and I can't wait to get started on the sequel :)

Chapter 23: Epilogue

Happily Ever After

Aiden’s POV

Time was flying by, today was Xavier’s, Zac’s and Sienna’s last day of school. After that they had exams, then their high school life was over and their university one began.  I stood at a distance where they couldn’t see me, whilst I watched them celebrate their last actual day of school. I was happy for them yet I don’t know how I was going to get through my last year of high school without them.

I tripped over a brick that was jutting out of the wall and fell flat on my face. I groaned lifting my head and meeting my eyes with Xavier’s. I blushed humiliated, he helped me up and I fell into his arms since my legs were still a bit wobbly. My mind flashed back to the New Year’s kiss we shared like this. My face reddened just thinking about it but at least Xavier couldn’t read my mind.

“Remember the last time you fell into my arms….” He started then I slammed by hand on his mouth, stopping him from speaking of that embarassing moment of mine. I slowly pulled my hand away once I was sure he wouldn’t say anymore. He smirked at me giving me that knowing look. I huffed standing by myself and glared at him. He poked my nose chuckling and walked back to my sister and Zac. 

I followed after him, watching his butt in those tight jeans. Before I knew what was happening I had walked into him. I was on top of him and this time he was the one face down on the ground. I laughed, I couldn’t help myself. He groaned and then out of nowhere, flipped me over so I was under him. He winked at me and I attempted to push him off me. Why is he so strong?

Before I could try again, he was pulled off me. I looked up in gratitude at Zac and thanked him with a nod. “Xavier, come on, we have to go!” he walked off with Xavier in tow. He turned around and waved to me sticking his tongue out at me. I blew him a kiss and walked over to Sienna. She was with a whole bunch of other girls and I walked closer then dragged her away.

“Sienna” I started, “I’m proud of you” I told her honestly clear in my voice. She looked all teary eyed and bought me in for a hug. “I love you bro; thanks for everything” she whispered softly to me. I smiled and kissed her on the cheek before moving away from her. “Make the most of your last day” I told her walking towards my friends. “Bye Aiden!” she called to me. I put a hand up in a wave and reached my friends. They were kissing and I stood there awkwardly. Clearing my throat loudly in annoyance they sprung apart startled.

I shot them a sorry look and sat down next to, sighing and leaning back against the bench.  Was this how it was going to be like, the two always together and me as the awkward third wheel. They’re my friends, best friends they wouldn’t leave me all alone. I’m just being negative and I know they wouldn’t do that that to me, well not intentionally anyways.

I saw Xavier and Zac return so I clutched a hand each from each of my best friends. I dragged them over to the others. I jumped onto Xavier hugging him close and breathed in a little, sighing at the comfortableness. “I’m going to miss you so much Xavier, don’t leave me” I told him, tears threatening to fall.

He set me down and looked at me, he had a frown on his face. “I’m going to miss you too, but you can do this, it’s just one year” he placed his hands gently on my cheeks. I blushed and stared straight into his eyes. The tears started leaking from my eyes and he wiped them away from my eyes. He pulled me into a hug and I buried my head in his chest.

“You’ll be fine” he whispered and I nodded, striking a small smile. We linked arms and walked over to our group that seemed to have moved away from us. Giving us space I suppose. Xavier put a hand over my shoulder and we joined in with the conversation.

“Photo time!” Sienna shouted out over everyone’s chatter. We posed for the camera and pulled faces. On the last photo I kissed Xavier on the lips and he kissed back. I could hear the camera clicking as we kissed harder, but I ignored it enjoying the kiss. I moved my hand into his hair and the other one on top of his chest slowly moving lower. He had one hand my neck and the other one on my butt.

“Hey guys, keep it PG” Amelia yelled at us. We slipped apart from each other and stared at her blanked face. She averted her eyes and we laughed.

“Don’t deny it Amelia, you liked watching us” I shot back at her winking. She blushed furiously and hid her face behind Alex. I grinned, failing to hide the smile appearing on my face.

“You’re smiling again” Xavier noticed pecking me on the lips. I nodded and found his hand clutching it with my own. I locked eyes with his and mouthed I love you to him. He looked at me intensely and mouthed the same words back. We sat down against the building and I cuddled into him. Happiness spread through my body of being close to him. I heard a camera click and half-heartedly glared at my sister. Then she ran away with Zac in tow so that I couldn’t see her anymore before i could say anything.

Soon after, the bell rang and I got up tired. I seemed to have fallen asleep on Xavier. I turned around stretching and gazed down at my boyfriend. He was still asleep even with the loud ringing sound. I crouched down in front of him and shook him enough to break him out of his sleeping state. He glanced at me and smiled lazily. He rubbed his eyes and squinted up at me. His eyes shining like stars making me return a smile instantly.

We spent the last two classes of the day apart but even though we were finishing early today it felt like forever. I absolutely hated being apart from him, it felt like a part of me was missing. I sneakily pulled out my phone from my pocket and started typing I miss you babe, I love you xx. I was about to put it back in my pocket but then it vibrated. Shocked at the fast reply I quickly opened it up Aiden! Help me plan my party after school and I rolled my eyes it was from Sienna, don't need to reply to that. I put my phone back into my pocket and tried to focus on what the teacher was saying. I started drawing on my page, sketching small hearts, stars and infinity signs. These symbols represented our love, well that’s what I thought.

My phone buzzed and I looked up at the teacher, he was writing on the board so I quickly read it. I miss you too, I love you cutie, see you soon xx.A smirk appeared on my face and I couldn’t stop the smile stretching across my face. I quickly returned my phone to my pocket and wrote down the notes from the board. I smiled and kept up my happy mood all through class. By the time the last bell of the year went I had jumped out of my seat; to the surprise of my classmates and the knowing looks of my lovebird friends.  

I ran out of my classroom swinging my bag over my shoulder. My bag bumped against my back uncomfortably but I endured it as I raced all the way over to his classroom. The room was in chaos, paper was everywhere and I spotted Xavier in the midst of it all. I winked at him and formed a heart with my hands. He returned it and hurried over to me. He picked me up and swung me around missing my lips and catching my cheek instead. I steadied us and I kissed him fully on the lips. I could feel him smiling and I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him impossibly closer.

“Do you want to come over today to help plan my sister’s party” I asked him hopefully. He replied with a yes without any hesitation and I dragged him over to my sister’s car. I kissed him goodbye and watched him leave, eyeing his body. Sienna arrived quickly and she drove us home.

“I invited Zac, Amelia and Alex too” she told me whilst keeping an eye on the road. “I trust you invited your boyfriend” she teased. I rolled my eyes and groaned.

“Of course I invited him” I answered irritated by her constant teasing.

“That’s good, I didn’t get a chance to ask him” she said happily. I gave in and brought out my smile.

When we arrived at my house, everyone else had already arrived. Zac and Xavier were getting out of the same car and Amelia and Alex were just parking the car. I opened the front door and closed it behind me. I heard growls of frustration on the other side and laughed.

“Open the door Aiden!” Sienna said unamused. I ignored her and looked through the peephole at her annoyed form. I opened the door a little bit and pulled Xavier in. I shut the door before they could even register what had happened.

“You’re so cheeky cutie” he teased smiling at me. He pushed me against the door and kissed me. I could hear my friend’s sighs and I heard Amelia say “We’re going to be out here the whole day”. I chuckled and broke off the kiss. I opened the door widely, bowed dramatically and told them to enter. They laid their belongings along the hallway and we settled down in the living room.

“Let’s plan” Sienna stated. She pulled out paper and pens and handed them around the room. We immediately started discussing options and making lists. I was in charge of food and drinks; I jotted down some of sienna’s favourite foods and added a few of my own. Amelia and Alex were doing the decorations. Xavier was organising the music and Alex and Sienna were doing the guest list.

We spent the whole afternoon doing this and by the time the sun had set. We were all tired and half asleep. Sienna put on a movie and everyone fell asleep on the couch. I cuddled into Xavier and drifted off into a dream state in a matter of seconds. I remembered feeling a light brush of lips on my own but I couldn’t tell if it was real or not, but I’d like to believe it was. A perfect end to an amazing school year.

Weeks passed and our relationship had grown stronger. It had reached the day of New Year’s Eve. I was lying on my bed facing the ceiling. I was studying the glow in the stars that I stuck up there a mere 3 years ago. It’s amazing how much I had changed in couple of years. To think that this day one year ago, I met Xavier and we unofficially kissed at midnight. My eyes widened at the thought of how much has happened, that maybe it was meant to be, that maybe it could be something to do with fate or destiny.

I rolled onto my side and noticed a piece of paper on my desk. How did this get here?

Happy one year anniversary Aiden, I love you more than you will ever know. You will always be in my heart and I’m truly happy that we are finally together. I never imagined that this is where I would be in just one year. I can’t wait for you to join me in university and I will miss you so much.

A smile broke out on my face, this was incredibly romantic. It was short note, but it said enough to make me feel like a little kid having their first crush. I clutched the paper to my heart and sighed. One year. It may not seem like a long time, but to me it felt like forever. Xavier has happened in under a year and that has completely changed my life around. It shows how much can really change in a short amount of time. 

I love him so much, that I can’t even describe it. He is definitely the one, I don’t know how I can be so certain but I just have this feeling that he is. No one will ever be better than him, no one can even compare to him. He is mine and he is always will be. I promise. This is a promise that I can actually keep, because my eyes will only be on him. What can I say, I’m in love.

Today was not only the last day of 2013 but also Sienna’s 19th birthday. This party we were throwing was a mix of New Year’s, Birthday and Graduation. I grabbed my phone from my desk and typed out a text to Xavier. I paused thinking carefully about what to say.

Happy Anniversary Xavier babe! I miss you already but I’ll see you soon at the party. I love you so much that I would do absolutely anything for you. I will never stop loving you and you will always have a piece of my heart. I promise that you are the one, the only one. I love you Xavier, you have stolen my hart.

More than satisfied with what I had composed and sent it to him. Then I complied a bulk text to all my friends, reminding them of the party tonight. Well I’ve done my job I thought, congratulating myself.

I dragged myself out of bed and towards my closet. I tugged on a pair of pale blue skinny jeans and a white button up shirt. I pulled on a pair of white converse and moved into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and styled my hair to precision. I shot a flirty smile at the mirror and imagined Xavier as the receiver of a smile like that. I smiled at my reflection and calmed down my blushing face.

I went out of my door and over to Sienna’s room. I knocked twice and opened the door slowly. The bathroom door was closed so it would seem that she was in there. I waited on her bed and looked out of her window to our front garden. I gazed thoughtfully at the sky, reminding me that even if we change, the sky will stay the same.

I felt someone touch my shoulder and I fell shocked at the cold touch. I turned my head from my sprawled position on the floor to see Sienna standing there with a smug look. I rolled my eyes and pushed myself up from the floor. I righted myself and stepped forward, bringing my sister into a hug. She returned the hug and wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed her forehead and looked at her proudly. “Happy 19th Birthday Sis” I told her honestly.

“Thank you bro” she replied hugging me tightly. We chatted for a little bit before she went to finish getting ready and I went downstairs. The doorbell suddenly rang as I reached the end of the stairs. I was feeling a sense of dejavu. I opened the door and it revealed a guy. Not a guy, but Xavier my boyfriend.

“Do you remember how we met like this?” I asked him smiling. He grinned and replied with a yes. I ushered him inside to the living room. I watched him whilst he set up all the music equipment. He was busy so I went to the kitchen to do my part. I pulled out the drinks from the freezer and placed them on the kitchen island. I brought out a table and put it in the main room with the help of Xavier. I picked up the food that was prepared earlier and the drinks I had taken out before and placed them across the table. All of it just fit which was perfect.

I went back into the kitchen and found some cups and small plates. I took them out to the main room and paused. I was done. I turned around to see Xavier moving the speakers into position. I walked up behind him and put my hands on top of his. He froze and turned to face me smiling. I shot him a mischievous look and went to answer the door. Through the window I saw Amelia, Alex and Zac arrive in separate transport. I flung open the door and welcomed them inside.

Zac disappeared a few minutes later after conversing with Xavier to probably discuss the last minute changes to the guest list with the birthday girl. I couldn’t help but smile at how much fun both Amelia and Alex were having decorating the place up. They had brought a lot of decorations, each piece they put up, made the house look just that little bit better. I was impressed to say the least.

“Hey, do you need a hand?” I asked them. They spun around at the same time and nodded. I chuckled leaning down to pick up a few streamers. I felt something hit my butt and without turning I knew who it was. I ran after a retreating figure that I knew was Xavier. I sped up catching up to him and raised an eyebrow at him. He looked like a little child that had been caught in the act.

I beckoned him towards me and he moved forward as if he was on a rope and I was pulling him forward. He really was a joker. I threw the streamer that I still held in my hands behind his neck. I pulled him in with the streamer for a kiss. Before he could get close enough for a kiss, the streamer had broken and he was on top of me. I laughed and he soon joined in.

I brushed my fingers through his silky hair and tugged on it pulling him down towards my awaiting lips. We kissed long and hard. I moved my hand slowly down his chest to his abs and lightly grazed them. He made a sound and I felt triumphant. Then he broke the kiss and kissed my neck instead, making me do the same.

I pulled him back up to resume our kiss and I enjoyed it, maybe a little too much. A loud cough interrupted our make out session and I rolled my eyes. Who was it this time?

“Xavier not again, Sienna wants us to take some photos so come on, you can kiss later…” I recognised the voice as Zac’s and towards the end of the sentence it was muffled. I sat up and looked to where the voice was coming from. To see Sienna there covering her hand over Zac’s mouth.

“What’s going on?” I asked actually confused to what just happened.

“I did want Xavier to come but then I saw this so I wanted to watch” I heard Sienna fail to whisper to Zac. After hearing something like that from my own sister I couldn’t help but shoot her a disapproving look.

“Um…everything is fine, you can resume doing it…I-I mean kissing not…you know” Zac stuttered out. I glanced at him amused and wiggled my eyebrows at him. I laid back down on the ground and pulled Xavier to me. We kissed for a few more seconds before his lips left mine. I opened my eyes to see him standing up offering me a hand up.

I took it firmly and stood up next to him. Sienna’s face was red from what she had saw go on between us and Zac seemed like he was daydreaming. Sienna shook him out of his state and pulled both the boys upstairs to her room. To take birthday photos with her closest friends I assume.

I walked back into the room and the two gave me innocent looks. “Like you two weren’t kissing either” I shot at them, surprising them. They flushed and didn’t say a word. I picked up a few balloons and started blowing them up and letting them fly up to the ceiling. By the time I was finished, the ceiling was almost filled with the assorted colours I had personally chosen. It was a mixture of white, blue and purple which were my sister’s favourite colours.

Xavier, Alex and Zac had returned from their photo shoot. They were doing last minute clean up and setting up.

Shortly after everything was the best it could be, guests started arriving and music began to play. I found Xavier without any effort and spotted my A buddies dancing closely together.

 “Would you like to dance?” I asked him, closing the small gap between us.

“Sure babe” he answered and wrapped his arms around my waists as I put mine around his neck. We danced in sync although we were horrible dancers. I did stand on his feet a few times and we did bump into a few other couples but it wasn’t too bad.

After a while, Xavier went to go change the playlist so I went over to get some drinks for us. I stood at the table and Amelia and Alex were on the couch, kissing intensely not that I watching or anything. I moved my eyes away from the couple and looked around the room for Sienna and Zac. Sienna was moving from group to group and striking up conversations with her friends. I was going to approach her but she looked busy so I decided to talk to her later.

Not seeing Zac anywhere I moved into the kitchen. I recognised his clothes from earlier and I noticed he was sitting at the island. He looked to be in deep conversation with a guy that I didn’t think I’ve met before. I saw Zac look at me with a sideways glance, I gave him a thumbs up. He blushed and quickly moved his gaze back to the guy. I walked away from them still holding my drinks in my hands. I placed one down on the table after finishing my own.

I walked back into the main part of the house and spotted Xavier in the crowd talking to Sophie. I approached them slowly and both of them noticed me. Sophie waved a goodbye and walked off to a group of people at the side of the room. I kept my jealously at bay, she wasn’t a threat I repeated to myself. “What did she want?” I asked trying to keep my voice even.

“She was just saying hi and suggesting a song” he said unaffected by my change of voice. I carefully gave the cup of drink to him and reached up to his ear.

“You’re mine, just remember that” I whispered with a hint of seduction to him.

I saw him visibly shiver and I smiled smugly, “Yes and I love you” he whispered to me.

“I love you too babe” I told him truthfully. I watched as Xavier threw the empty cup into the bin and came straight back to me.

“It’s almost midnight” he said softly. He’s right only two hours left, then 2014 would be here.

Sienna passed me and told me to meet in her room with Xavier. I clutched his hand tightly and we walked up the stairs towards her room. We lightly rapped on the door and we walked inside. Everyone sat on the floor except the lovebirds and Sienna. They entered a few minutes later looking flushed and embarrassed. They took a seat down and Sienna sat down to my right.

“I’d like to begin to say, thank you to all of you, for being my friend, a brother and just an amazing group overall” she started. “I love all of you so much and this year wouldn’t have been as good without each of you, I can’t believe I’ve finished school and that I’m off to university in a couple of months” she then began to get all teary and started sobbing. I swung my free arm around her shoulder and hugged to her to me.

“We love you too” I told her in all honesty and spoke for the whole group. I handed her a tissue from her desk and she wiped her eyes. Her eyes were red but her smile stood out. “This is your present” I told her, bringing a box that I had gotten her a few weeks ago. Our parents had also gotten her a present which was her own apartment close to her new school and they weren’t here tonight but they would be here to celebrate with her tomorrow.

She opened the box and gasped. Making me smile and everyone lean forward. “This is beautiful” she stated, her eyes getting all teary again. I had gotten her a charm bracelet that had a charm that represented each of us. She gave me a big hug and the smile stayed on her face. Everyone else handed her presents, which made her grin and laugh.

“Thanks guys for the amazing presents, I really love them” she told us, giving each of us a meaningful look. I mouthed an I love you and she nodded. “Come on, let’s go party, it’s close to midnight!” she suddenly announced shocking us with her quick mood change in a matter of seconds.

I held on tightly to his hand, making sure I wouldn’t lose him. We got back and outside so we could see the fireworks. The countdown was about to start, there was only a few minutes left to go. I was excited for the New Year yet on the other hand I didn’t feel ready for it. I closed my eyes tightly for a few seconds, reminiscing on the last year. This year had its struggles and heartbreak but in the end everything worked out. Like my friends told me so.

I stared up at the sky, my mind flicking towards the stars I had up in my room. The sky was limitless, just like my love. This all sounded extremely cheesy yet it was all true, every bit of it.

We embraced each other and my heart quickened at our closeness. His eyes were illuminated from the bright night sky. His eyes showed shiny blues and green and it was making my eyes stare dreamily into his.

I could hear the shouts from inside as they began the countdown to the New Year.  

10 I kept my eyes locked with his and his eyes were so beautiful

9 I moved that one bit closer to close the little space we had between us

8 His eyes gazed back at mine lovingly and my heart was beating rapidly in anticipation

7 I put my arms around his neck and breathed in his scent making him smirk

6 He swiped his tongue over his lips and I watched every movement

5 I winked at him cheekily and he smiled smugly

4 He put his arms around my waist and I grinned at him

3 I could feel his heartbeat and his warm body against mine

2 I stared at his lips and bit my lip with his watchful eyes on me

1 He pressed him lips against mine, giving me my midnight kiss

We quickly ended the kiss after a minute so we could watch the fireworks display. It was really loud but that’s what makes it all the more exciting. We were handed sparklers and we lit them up.

“Watch me, ok” I told him seeing him nod I continued. I moved the sparkler in the air drawing a heart. I looked back at Xavier and he was smiling hard. I made the sparkler’s fire dance sketching quickly an X loves A so he could read it. He nodded in understanding.

I stepped back to give the last drawing some space. “I love you Xavier Hart forever and always” I said to him and drew an infinity sign in the air. He looked like emotions were overwhelming him, then the sparkler went out and I got rid of it.

“I love you Aiden Striker and I’ll love you forever” he said smiling through the tears that were close to falling. I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek.

“I hart you” he whispered softly leaning closer towards me.

“I hart you too” I replied with a kiss.
