*Micah's POV*

"The rest of the party is downstairs if your wondering." Nick said. I glanced at Josh. He was holding Gabby's hand leading her down stairs.

"Well that took long enough." I heard Thayer say. Thayer was looking at Josh and Gabby too. Here's the thing: Gabby has had the biggest crush on Josh since she was adopted at the age of ten by Nick's parents and vice versa. Josh never told Nick about it because he was afraid of how he would react with Gabby being his sister. One day when it finally came out at lunch, Nick laughed and told Josh he would rather have his sister date him than somebody else. That way if Josh hurts her in anyway Nick knows where to find him.

"Let's go Micah. I gotta go get me some girls!" Thayer has this thing for trying to get girls but they never go with him and if they do they are probably drunk at some party. Thayer still tries his hardest though.

Me, Thayer and Nick followed Josh and Gabby down the stairs. To the right was a pool table and the mini bar both of which filed with people. To the right was...was...are you kidding me?

"Thayer...Piper'e here..." I mumble to Thayer. Thayer? Where did he go? I wasn't even here for two minutes and I lost Thayer! I scanned the whole basement quick before wandering further in. I made it past the pool table when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Thayer! I was looking for..." I turned around and stopped.

"What? Am I not the person you were looking for?" Piper asked, twirling her hair in one finger. I didn't answer. She questioned me more.

"You can't operate right with out that faggot can you? Wow! Why did you even come here then if all you were gunna do is follow Thayer around all night like a lost puppy?" She huffed, waiting for an explanation.

I search for words. I hated talking to Piper. She is so repulsive to me. For one she is a cheerleader and they are drama queens. Two she smokes so her breathe is horrible. Three she loads to much red lipstick on and she looks like an alien because of her bright pink hair. People find this attractive.

"Thayer is not gay." I say. Really that's all I could come up with?

"Could have fooled me. Why else does he try to get with all the girls and then end up not getting them in the end? He does it on purpose."

"Not true. That's the most stupidest thing. I know Thayer." I said. Why is she telling me this of all things?

"You wanna bet? He wouldn't know what to do if a girl said yes to go alone in a room with him!" Did Piper just bet me?

"Fine. What's the bet?" I asked. No way I'm loosing this bet. I know Thayer.

"I ask Thayer to go alone with me and if he says yes without hesitating the. you win..." She paused and came closer, "...and if he says no or has a hesitation, I get you for the night." She finished. Who could resist such an easy bet?

"Deal" I said, keeping an eye out for Thayer. Piper snickered then went off. I had to find Thayer before Piper. Just as I spotted Thayer with a group of girls on the couch, some one else grabbed my shirt.

"Hey Micah..." It was Lynea pushing herself on me. Her breath smelled like alcohol. I tried to squeeze away.

"Hi Lynea..."

"Where are you going?" She asked then hopped on to of me, forcing me to catch her. This was the captain of the girls volley ball team in my arms. Literally.

"Where ever it is, I'm going with." Lynea giggled. She was so innocent and silly right now. I loved it. Me and Lynea used to date back as freshmen but things just kind of distanced themselves and left me and Lynea up to a decision. So we ended things. We didn't do much just hung out doing homework and movies. Lynea probably does much more bigger things with her boyfriend now. Just as I thought that I catch Dean starring me down. Shit. Dean started walking over here.

"Lynea you better get down before..."

"Do you like stealing people's things Micah?" Dean cut me off. I want trying to 'steal' his girlfriend. She jumped on me!

"First my best friend now my girlfriend?" Dean clenched his hand into a fist.

"Oh Dean, I think I am going to be sick." Lynea said before Dean could punch me. She jumped down and ran to his arms.

"Consider that a warning." Dean said as he backed up, taking Lynea with him. Lynea turned her head around and smiled at me. She knew what she was doing the whole time. It's dangerous when your ex girlfriend goes out with a guy that hates you. Dean hates me because I 'stole' his best friend when I moved here in the fourth grade. Speaking of Thayer...thank god he is still on the couch with those girls. I hurry over to him only to be beat by Piper.
