Hey everyone, it's the new chapter, and as a nice surprise, this chapter is quite long, well, longer than usual, so enjoy it, as it took quite some time to write during my busy schedule. :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aiden's P. O. V.

I blinked in shock at Nathan and my hand tightened around my back bags strap, unsure if I had heard him correctly, but his next words confirmed my suspicions.

"I want you to take me out on a date," Nathan repeated, seeming bored, and raised a brow in my direction as he waited for my answer, his eyes twinkling somewhat with amusement at my reaction that questioned my intelligence.

"Right now?" I couldn't help but ask in disbelief, still shocked by his words, and only then realized how stupid I must have made myself out to be yet again and wished I could promptly dig a hole in the ground and burry myself in it.

I flushed slightly under Nathan's mocking gaze, and tried my best to tame my rising anger caused by my embarrassment, but it proved to be a difficult task, as Nathan wasn't making it any easier for me to do so, especially with his next words.

"No duh," Nathan replied with a smirk, seeming to enjoy that I was making a fool out of myself.

Ah, I really want to punch him right now, I thought, a muscle in my jaw twitching.

No wait, calm down, think about what he had just said. He said he wants me to take him on a date... today...

"No way!" I exclaimed, shaking my head violently back and forth, abet, maybe a bit over exaggeratingly.

As much as his words had caused me great happiness, to the point where I wanted to jump up and down with joy, shouting my excitement to the world around me, the request Nathan had just proposed was simply impossible to accomplish at such a short moment, or well, it would most likely turn out horribly.

"Huh?" Nathan stood dumbfounded by my words, his eyes blank as he stared at me with amazement to the fact that I had actually refused his request, and I quickly rushed to explain my reason for refusing.

"I mean, I don't even know where to take you," I said, panicking slightly as Nathan's expression seemed to darken with each word that I said.

Man, this is not going well, I thought helplessly. Maybe I should have just agreed and took my chances of the date maybe turning out good enough.

I mentally shook my head at my pathetic self, then frowned. No, absolutely not. I will not play into his hands.

Its no doubt that Nathan had possibly sprung this request out at such a short notice to catch me off guard and cause me to fail miserably when I cannot properly prove my love to him.

But then again, I could just be overly paranoid right now.

"Well, I guess there goes your chance at proving that you love me," Nathan said with a shrug and a shake of his head. He then turned around and began walking away, his steps unhurried, leisure like.

My mouth popped open wide with shock and disbelief as I watched him stroll away, then anger rose to replace those emotions.

This bastard, he's purposefully trying to rile me up and get me to panic and change my mind.

Well, see if you like what I have in store.

"Tomorrow!" I shouted firmly, my eyes radiating a stubbornness caused by his actions that showed my unwillingness to let him get away without giving my all. I then smirk in victory when Nathan paused in his retreat to look over his shoulder at me questioningly.

And the fish bits the bait, now all that's left is to reel him in, I thought with confidence.

"What?" He asked but didn't fully turn around to face me, as I had only sparked enough interest to gain his attention

"Tomorrow. Tomorrow lets go on a date. I will definitely take you to a place that's perfect for a date that will no doubt be just as good, and if its anything less, then you can punish me in whatever way you see fit," I suggested persuasively.

Nathan raised a brow in my direction, and a slow, sly smile spread along his face. "Interesting," Nathan said with a chuckle, his eyes shining brightly with excitement. "It's a deal. I look forward to what you have in store for me Aiden. Make sure not to disappoint me," Nathan grinned.

"Wouldn't dream of it," I retorted with an answering grin, brazen in the face of his obvious change towards my words.

Nathan seemed delighted by response and, with a satisfied nod of his head in my direction, as if he was appraising my confidence, and with a causal farewell wave of his hand, he walked off, leaving me to my thoughts.

As soon as he was out of my line of sight, I collapsed backwards against my car and dropped my head into my hands, groaning with indignation.

Oh my god, I can't believe I just did that... but, this was actually a good thing I guess, my impulsive action I mean, as it has given me such a great chance to work off of.

Why do I think this? Its obvious isn't it? Its because, due to me refusing, and then rescheduling the date for another day, whilst its only one day more to be able to prepare, it is still enough time to come up with a brilliant plan of action.

With this extra time, I'll for sure come up with a date worthy of Nathan's approval, and if he is dissatisfied by my efforts, then it will be a real shame...

And obviously an act of spitefulness if he does!

I mean, common, if he gives me the thumbs down on the date that I'll have planned tomorrow, then its most likely his revenge for some of the things I've done in the past.

Well, if he does do that, then its only to be expected, I thought with a helpless sigh, then turned around, unlocked my car, and opened the door to the drivers side of my car and slid inside, slamming the door shut behind me when I was fully in.

I then started my car and drove out of the parking lot and back home, my mind already swirling with ideas for the date I have to plan, to the point where I could hardly concentrate on the road. Thankfully though, I arrived home safely despite my lack of attentiveness.

As soon as I arrived home, I went inside and immediately veered towards the stair and climbed them to get to my room, not bothering to announce my presence to anyone who might have been home. But then I remembered that my parents wouldn't be home due to them attending a dinner party.

But even if they had been here, I had no time to waste on simple greetings, I had to quickly begin my search for a place that will blow Nathan's mind, yet still be within my budget, and that was going to take a while. So, I need all the time I could get to complete this task.

Once in my room, I closed my door and locked it, not wanting to be suddenly disturbed if someone comes barging in without my permission, thought, its seemed pointless to do this when, other than me, there was no one else occupying this house at the moment, then walked over to my computer and turned it on.

As I waited for it to start up, I threw my book bag onto the ground and rummaged through my desks drawer for a pen and notepad. I then began jotting down several places for a date that had already popped into my mind. When I was done, I had wrote down three different places to choose from. However, I knew I would need more options before I could precisely pick which one would be suitable for our date tomorrow.

At the same time, my computer had finished its start up. I clicked on my user profile and typed in my password, then hit enter and waited for my desktop to set up fully before clicking on the internet application, then got to work when it loaded up.

As I worked, time seemed to pass by quickly, and before I knew it, it was dinner time.

I temporarily halted what I was doing to go downstairs and cook myself a meal, quickly finishing it up so that I could get back to what I had been doing beforehand.

Not long after, sounds of my parents arrival drifted up the stairs and into my room.

Their back, I thought, and looked over to my door, debating if I should go outside and at least welcome my mother home and ask her about her day, but there was no need for that as not a second later was there knocking on my door.

Setting my pen down, I got up and walked over to my rooms door and opened it up to see my mother standing on the other side, looking tired as can be.

"Hey mom, why don't you come in and tell me how your day went," I said and stepped back to let her in.

She smiled gratefully at me, her dull eyes brightening some as she walked inside and took a seat on my bed. Before once again closing the door, I caught sight of my father walking upstairs.

Our eyes connected, and I silently stared at him with hard eyes, while he did the same back coldly, his face expressionless.

"Father," I greeted without emotion, nodding my head in his direction.

Father stared towards me without responding, before looking away and walking off. I narrowed my eyes at his back as he headed towards his room and closed the door to mine.

Wonder what was up with him, I thought, but then shrugged uncaringly and turning around and walked back over to my computers chair, sat down, and faced my mom.

Looking closely at her, she seemed more haggard than usual, probably due to todays event, and no doubt from dealing with my father all day. Seeing her like this roused anger in me towards my father for making her look much older than she was. I also felt self-hatred towards myself for again not being able to do anything to help her.

"So, how'd today go?" I asked hesitantly, not sure if it was such a good idea to ask, as I could end up causing her mood to plummet down even more so.

Mother let out a long sigh and placed her head on her upturned palm, her elbow resting on her knee, and gave me a look of annoyance that seemed not to be directed towards me, but towards those who put her in such a mood.

"I absolutely hate dinner parties," she unexpectedly said and I blinked at her in shock.

"Really now?" I asked with a hint of curiosity, finding humor in her look of absolute disgust.

"Yes," she exclaimed with exasperation, "the people who attend them are always snotty higher up's that think their all that. It's really is too much. And your father, oh, don't get me started on him, trying to suck up to all them, its ridiculous," she rolled her eyes heavenwards as if to demonstrate her irritation.

I let out a snort as laughter quaked through me. "Really, should you be saying such things?"

"Hmph, why not, its all true," she said with an answering grin.

I smiled at her, then sobered as I remembered the way my father was acting. "But really, nothing bad happened, right?" I asked with concern.

My mother seemed to deflate some as my words no doubt stirred up memories of today's event. "Its nothing that I can't handle, no need to worry," she reassured with a dismissive wave of her hand.

"I'm not so sure about that," I murmured lowly to myself, quite enough for her not to hear.

"Huh, what's this?" Mother asked, suddenly becoming distracted, her eyes focused on something that was behind me.

"Hm?" I blinked at her in confusion, then looked behind me to see what she was staring at, only to see that it was one of the website I had been on, one that had the words "Best place's for a date," on it.

My eyes widened as I realized that my plans had been found out be the one person I was hoping it would not come to light to.

"Uh, this isn't what it looks like," I said, flustered, and went to close out the web browser, but my mother stopped me before I could.

"Oh no you don't," she said and grabbed onto my chair, then quickly pulled me back to prevent me from controlling the mouse and clicking the 'x' at the top right of the website.

I gasped in surprise and flung my arms to my side as if to grab onto something, slightly fearful of crashing to the floor. "My god woman!" I exclaimed, only breathing out in relief when my world settled.

I then turned to glare at my mom, but found that she had made her way in front of me and was now exploring the website I had been on.

Oh god, I groaned mentally and shot to my feet, a desperate look on my face.

"Mother!" I wined angrily, knowing it was too late to do anything about her seeing what I had been up to, as she no doubt, had already gotten an eyeful of it.

I felt the sudden urge to stomp my foot on the ground in tantrum like a child, but swallowed it forcefully down as she spun around to give me a shocked look, excitement soon breaking out on her face as what she had just seen finally seemed to register in her brain.

"Aiden White, are you planning on going on a date?" Mother asked, her eyes shinning brightly.

"No!" I exclaimed right away, flustered beyond belief, my cheeks lightly flushing red.

"I knew it, you are!" She laughed, seeing through me immediately. "You've gotten a girlfriend, haven't you? I'd like to meet her," she said, her eyes already telling me that she was coming up with all sorts of ideas on how this "girlfriend" of mine was.

My mouth opened and closed as I wordlessly tried to come up with some kind of excuses as to why I was actually on this website that wouldn't make her think I had a girlfriend, which I didn't, but nothing popped into my head.

Finally, I resigned to my fate and let out a low groan. "Mom-," I began, but she interrupted me before I could continue.

"Really, you should invite her over for dinner this weekend," she suggested, sounding pleased with the idea.

"Mom, I don't think that's going to happen," I said with a tired sigh, wishing this conversation would be done and over with, or that it had never happened in the first place.

Besides, the person you want me to invite, isn't even a girl! I thought pitifully.

"And why not?" She asked with a confused frown, seeming disappointed by my words.

"Uh, just trust me," was all I replied with.

A pout formed on her lips, making her seem more childish in a way. "Oh, common, you can tell me, I'm your mother."

Guilt stabbed at me for the fact that I really couldn't tell her, for fear of how she will react once she finds out that the person I'm setting up this date for is a guy, which would indicate that I was gay.

What would she think of me then? Would she even consider me her son anymore and be willing to be my mother after finding out the truth?

I did not want to think about that at all.

I can't let her continue on with this persistence. I must stop her before I'm forced to reveal my secret that will no doubt lead to my demise.

"Mom, out," I said with forced patience, pointing at the door, my eyes averted away from hers to hide the pain in them from her.

"Awe, you're no fun," she said with a laugh, but did what I said despite the curiosity bubbling in her eyes, knowing that she was pushing my limits for tolerance. "Next time then," she said before leaving.

Once she was gone, closing the door behind her, I let out a tired sigh and shook my head.

She really is too much sometimes, acting so childish like that; however, I'm glad she was at least feeling better now. Somehow, her accidentally finding out about my date has raised her spirits, and for that, I should be grateful for, even if it could have turn hazardous for me, as her happiness is most important to me right now.

Alone once again, I emerged myself in my task at hand, and before I knew it, I had found the perfect place.

***

I woke up the next morning feeling as energized as could be and ready for action.

Quickly I prepared for today's school day, and also for the date. I made sure I had all I would need for my date with Nathan: money, the address to the place, and anything else that would be an important factor in making this day go well.

Once done, I went downstairs to grab something to eat before leaving for school, a seemingly permanent smile on my face as anticipation coursed through me.

I could not wait for today's event to unfold, just the thought of how today may turn out left me tingling with excitement, as well as dread, as not only could today turn out good, but it could also turn out bad. There was no telling how it will all go, as the outcome could change at any moment.

But that was thoughts for later on, when I actually had to try my best to win Nathan over.

So I discarded all my worries for later and went through the day like normal, purposefully ignoring Nathan, who couldn't help but stare my way often, as if he was wondering about something. No doubt the date, but I was not going to give away anything just yet. I'll just let him suffer some more in suspense.

Time seemed to pass by in a peaceful blur, surprisingly enough as there was no disturbances from my ex-friends, and before I knew it, school had ended.

As I walked outside into the parking lot, I looked over to where my car was, only to see Nathan standing by it. However, I had already hoped for this, and knew from the start of the day that, even if I didn't come to Nathan, that he would come for me.

With a smile I walked over to him and came to a stop a few feet away and assessed Nathan, who was casually leaning up against my car with my eyes. My eyes narrowed as they roamed him up and down, causing Nathan to show an expression of discomfort that he quickly hid and cleared his throat to distract me from my staring.

"So, when and where is this date going to be?" Nathan asked, raising his brow at me, eyes holding a hint of curiosity.

I chuckled and walked the rest of the way towards my car, unlocking it as I did so, and Nathan wisely moved out of my way as I neared, an annoyed frown on his face a he waited for my response. "You'll see," I said secretively, pulling open the drivers side of the door. "As for when, I'll pick you up around six, so be ready for when I get there."

"Alright," Nathan said slowly, looking as if he wanted to ask more on the matter.

I went to duck into my car, but a thought occurred to me and I paused in my retreat and looked back at Nathan who's eyes sparkled with anticipation.

It was obvious he was thinking of what my date consisted of, and where it will be, but it will be to no avail, of course, as he will never be able to guess. And I'm sure the curiosity was eating him up inside, as well as the suspense that he will undoubtedly be feeling for while, until our date actually occurs.

"Oh, and one more thing," I began.

"What is it now?" Nathan asked warily, giving me a questioning gaze.

"Make sure to dress casual," I suggested with a wide grin, and didn't further explain as I hopped in my car and drove off, feeling giddy for what was to come.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, so I said I would write about the date in this chapter, but that didn't happen. However, its absolute that the next chapter will definitely be about the date! :)

Anywhore, V/C/F.

Until next time, peace out! :)
