Hahahaha the 3: at the top looks like a face hahahaha

so anywho... the song Blake dances too is on the side >>>>>>

This chapter really get's into the whole 'ghost' thing, i had fun writing it and i hope you have fun reading it.... not too much fun eh eh eh! :P anywhoooooo..... ENJOY my little muffin faces hahaha

Blake was standing on his desk in class swinging his hips and singing a song by GAGA.

We don’t care what people say, we know the truth

Enough is enough of this horse shit

I am not a freak, I was born with my free gun.

Don't tell me I'm less than my freedom.

I’m a bitch, I’m a loser baby maybe I should quit

I’m a jerk, wish I had the money but I can’t find work

I’m a brat, I’m a selfish punk, I really should be smacked

My parents tried until they got divorced ‘cause I ruined their lives!” he sung. What was he on?

People were cheering him on and clapping to his beat. Matt was laughing so hard his face was red and Garret was smirking with REC. But my ghost was still occupying my mind. Was he a ghost? How did he die? Why was it targeting me? Was it a spirit? What did it want? I pulled out my phone and went onto the internet, looking up spirits and ghosts. It came up with 'Ghost; Definition' so I clicked on it and read.

'The spirit of a dead person, especially one believed to appear in bodily likeness to living persons or to haunt former habitats.

A returning or haunting memory or image.'

I didn't really understand what it meant all too much so I searched spirit.

'The vital principle or animating force within living beings.

Incorporeal consciousness.

The soul, considered as departing from the body of a person at death.

A being inhabiting or embodying a particular place, object, or natural phenomenon.

A fairy or sprite.

The part of a human associated with the mind, will, and feelings.

Spirits A mood or an emotional state.

A particular mood or an emotional state characterised by vigour and animation.'

I seemed to agree with the later. It fitted better with what I'd seen since the... thing was active and communicative. Also the idea of him being a spirit made my nerves and state of sane mind feel much better.

“What you doing?” Matt asked, leaning across to try and see my phone. I pocketed it quickly and smiled innocently.

“Nothing,” I said nonchalantly.

“Whatever,” Matt chuckled and punched my arm lightly before looking back to Blake who was now attempting the worm on top of two desks.

“You're going to fall,” I told Blake and he flipped me off. Then he fell to the floor. And what did I say? But no, nobody listens. I laughed as Blake stood and took a bow while people clapped him. I rolled my eyes as the siren went.

“Hey Ben wait a minute,” Matt called after me as I escaped down the hall. I stopped and turned to him with an eyebrow raised.

“What?” I asked him angrily. Didn't he see I wanted to be home? Matt grabbed my arm and pulled me aside, waiting for the hall to mostly clear before finally looking at me.

“You've been pretty off lately. What's going on?” he sounded really concerned, and that touched me. But I wasn't going to say I was seeing some spirit and have him think I was insane.

“It's nothing,” I lied and I could see by his face he could tell. He frowned at me.

“Ben, why won't you trust me? You've always trusted me before,” he breathed. I sighed and leant against the lockers, looking away from his beautiful eyes.

“You'll think I'm insane Matt,” I hissed at my own weakness. Not my weakness, his weakness, he was my weakness. He put his hand on my shoulder and moved closer.

“I promise I wont... no more than usual anyway,” he teased. I rolled my eyes at him, crossing my arms over my chest.

“I've been... seeing things.” Well there it is folks, out in the open. Nothing I can do about it now. I guess I could laugh and say I was joking and make something up. But I needed someone to say it was stress or something.

“Hmm,” Matt said, leaning back and rubbing his chin with his hand thoughtfully. “What kind of things? Like unicorns and emus? Or more like witches and floating objects?” I groaned and walked away from him. He didn't have to make fun of me like that when I was spilling to him.

“Hey wait,” he said, grabbing my arm and spinning me back around, “I was kidding.”

“Ha ha,” I said sternly. Matthew sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.

“Sorry man, look, maybe it has something to do with your Insomnia? What with exams coming up,” Matt grinned, but a question mark hung on his lips. I shrugged at him.

“Maybe,” I said calmly, “But he still creeps the fuck out of me!” I turned to walk away but Matt stopped me.

“He?” he asked, eyebrows raised. So I told him about how at first it was a flash of light, then a voice, then the guy.

“Maybe your fantasy has come to life?” Matt teased, chuckling at his joke. But I was serious when I considered it. The guy was actually pretty good looking now I think about it. Wait... what if it was some dead kid?

“I'll call you later,” I called to Matthew as I turned and ran off. I didn't head home, instead I turned and went to the library. I needed to search through old newspapers for deaths.

Three hours later and I was thigh high in old useless newspapers. I'd look through them all dating back to 50 years but none of the pictures were the guy I saw. I went on the computer and had looked through all the digital records, zilch, zero, nothing. It was getting dark outside so I gave up and began home. A chill passed through me and I looked up to see that creepy neighbour of mine hopping off his motorbike. He pulled off his helmet and revealed his equally creepy face. White eyes behind glasses, pale skin, black hair held back by a bandanna and that scar that stretched over half his face. I shuddered and turned away from him, taking the long way home.

Mum was waiting for me in the kitchen, putting a pie in the oven. It smelt like heaven.

“Hey mum,” I said, putting my bag down and going over to her, kissing her cheek.

“Hey you, off chatting up boys are we?” mum giggled. I rolled my eyes. Mum loved that I was gay, she said it was like having two daughters. Only I didn't like shopping, or pink, or any really stereotypical girlie thing so I was pretty sure mum was deluded. I was just happy she was so welcoming of it. Unlike Blake's. I threw the thought away and turned to happier tables, or thoughts at least. I don't know, can I table even be sad? I bet it'd be sad to see the trees outside free in the breeze while I leaned on it all day. Oh well, sucks for you table.

“Yeah mum totally, I have the boys running down the street to be with me,” I said, dripping with sarcasm.

“I don't see why not?” Mum pouted at me, but her eyes were grinning. “You look like your father and he was GORGEOUS!” Mum began fanning herself with her hand and winked at me. I scrunched up my face at her. Lace tottered into the room then holding her teddy bear which she placed on the table next to me.

“Mummy, can I please have an ice-cream?” Lace asked sweetly batting her eyelids like I'd taught her too. I was so proud. Yeah, I'm gay, of course I know how to bat my eyelashes to get something, gosh. Mum looked at me in a 'you did this' kind of way and I smiled proudly. Mum shook her head sternly at Lace, but I could tell those puppy eyes were weakening her. My bad. I got up and went to the bathroom to shower before dinner so I could go to bed and sleep right after eating. Matt said I was like a cat in that way. Meh, doesn't bother me. I'm the sexiest damn cat you ever seen.

I stood in front of the bathroom mirror pulling sexy faces at myself in only a towel, the water still dripping over my skin. Damn you might say. I laughed and brushed my wet hair back into an Elvis kind of way and went to get my sexy pyjamas on. I fell back onto my bed and looked at my phone. I told Matt I'd ring him, but did I really mean it? I hit the call button and held my phone to my ear. He picked up after one ring.

“Hey,” Matt huffed. Sounded sexy and I felt my muscles respond. You know what muscles I mean (wink).

“Eager aren't we?” I laughed, trying to wash my mind of it's dirty thoughts.

“Hell yeah, what's up? Why did you run off?” Matt asked, he was still breathless. What had he been do... oh never mind, I don't want to know.

“Had to go to the library urgently. I was looking up deaths to see if my guy was a ghost or something. But I got nothing. Got anymore ideas?” I asked him casually.

“Sorry man. I don't know what it could be. I haven't seen it so I don't really have anything to compare,” Matt sighed.

“Alright then, later dude,” I said and got ready to hang up.

“Ben wait,” Matt said urgently. Weirdo.

“What?” I asked. My heart was secretly beating a million miles an hour.

“Ah... never mind, I'll see you tomorrow?” Matt mumbled. He's such a creeper. Not like that neighbour dude creeper, I mean weirdo creeper.

“Yeah, unless this ghost spirit thing turns out to be some poltergeist or something and I get eaten,” I laughed, but a part of me was suddenly scared by the thought. Matt was silent at the other end.

“Want to stay over tonight?” he asked. That was random. But I jumped at the chance since his parents were away and more importantly I wouldn't have to sleep alone with this... I shuddered.

“Sure thing. After dinner but, mum made pie and I really want some,” I chuckled. Matt laughed too.

“Okay man, see you soon,” Matt said and hung up. I pocketed my phone and packed a small bag for overnight. Then I went downstairs and told mum about my plans. She was okay with it, like I knew she would be. Then we had dinner and it was as good as I'd hoped. I scoffed it down, had seconds, then headed off to Matthews. He didn't live too far from me, which was good, but still far enough that I felt the need to skate on my long board.

I could see Matthew standing out the front waiting for me as soon as the house came into view. He was looking down at his phone but not pressing anything.

“Hey,” I said casually when I was close enough for him to hear me. He was startled and blinked at me. Then smiled which made me trip off my board and crash into him. My board hit the mailbox and rolled up the driveway. I looked down at Matthew and grinned.

“My bad,” I chuckled and crawled off of him. He sat up, smiling too.

“Movies or games?” he asked me and we walked up into his house, I skittered to the side to retrieve my long board and put it under my arm.

“Games then movies?” I offered and he nodded in agreement. Moments later we were seated on his bedroom floor playing X box and I was winning.

“You got nothing on me ass wipe,” I cried as I shot Matt's druid in the ass with my laser beam. Yeah so what? I get competitive okay? Can't a gay guy get a little nasty when he plays a little X box from time to time? Even though for me... it's all the time.

“Oh yeah, well I have a weapon,” Matt chuckled. I didn't like the hint of evil in his speaking so I mentally glared at him.

“Weapon, hah, nothing can stop me,” I retorted and blew up a tank. A hand reached over my hip and fingers danced under my pants waistband. I shrieked and jumped ten feet in the air and seven feet backwards. Matthew burst out laughing and won the game by shooting my guy in the head. I growled at him, hoping my anger waves reached him.

“That was black market,” I hissed at him, rubbing where his fingers had touched bare skin. I was so turned on right now. How could he do that to me? He knew I was gay. That was completely unfair.

“Alright, I'm sorry, forgive me?” Matt chuckled cheekily, grinning up at me and batting his eyelashes the way I always did when I wanted something. I shook my head, closed my eyes and thought of my grandmother taking her dentures out. All good feelings were now gone. I slowly went and sat back down.

“First to ten?” I asked him, picking my controller back up. I could feel Matt watching me but I tried to distract myself by flicking through the characters on the screen. Which one looked the scariest and toughest? Oh yeah, me. Pity I wasn't an option, I would own. Matt's fingers brushed along my jaw and I gritted my teeth. Matthew Beresford, what do you think you are doing boy? Are you asking to be beaten? I felt my face blush and Matt chuckled. That evil cynical teasing... HE JUST KISSED ME ON THE CHEEK! My skin burned where his lips had touched my skin and I started rubbing it hard, leaning away from him. I frowned at him.

“What do you think you are doing?” I asked him. I was mad and oh boy you don't wanna see Mister Benjamin Warner when he is mad. Most likely you'll be raped. Unless you'd like that sort of thing, and going by my sexy looks I'd say that was probably the case. Then I'd have to think of some other way to mess you up fool. So much work.

“Ben I...” Matt whispered, his eyes on my lips, his voice trailing off. OH MY GOD, was that lust in those brown eyes? I was being turned on again. Matt leaned over me, practically on top of me and pressed his lips to mine. I was still frozen with shock so I didn't respond. He pulled away and frowned at me. He sighed and kissed me again. This time it ran through my bones, the feeling of his lips on mine. I groaned and gripped him tightly, kissing him back with so much built up desire. Then I shuffled, something felt off. Our kissing began to slow and we really felt it. And it felt wrong. It was like kissing my brother, or what I would guess kissing my brother would be like, if I actually had a brother. Not that I'd want to kiss him but, ugh, you know what I mean. I pulled away from Matt and we looked at each other. Then we both laughed and shook our heads.

“Yeah I'm straight,” Matt said the same time I said, “Yeah not happening.” We both laughed again and wiped our mouths.

“I'm still going to whip your gay butt,” Matt cried, grabbing his controller.

“Not in your life you cheating boob muncher,” I replied and took my own controller. Yeah, everything was back to normal.

At midnight we stopped playing X box and watched a few movies. Then we got into Matt bed (not in a gay way, we'd always slept in the same bed together on sleepovers) and Matt was out for the count while I laid awake. I laid there awake for a while and thought about kissing Matt. It wasn't at all like I'd fantasised about before. But I was glad that little crush was over and we were still best friends. Things were back to the way they should be.

CRASH!

Went the night. I flinched and looked to Matthew's bedroom door. There was no light coming from under the door like there was at my house. I was in complete darkness. I shuffled closer to Matt and shied away from the open space in front of me, pulling the covers up to my nose. Matt groaned, the noise making me jump and then he put his arm around me.

“It's probably the cat,” Matt reassured me sleepily and turned his head away to the wall. I wasn't convinced. I heard shuffling downstairs and my heart stopped. Not literally, but still. I decided I had to go investigate so I could be reassured properly and go to sleep. I crept under Matt's arm and the blankets and felt around for his lamp. Once I found it I turned it on and slithered to his wardrobe where I found his baseball bat. Armed and dangerously sexy, I went to the door and turned to handle. I opened it and peeked out, the light from the lamp flooding the hallway. Nothing. I moved to the hallway light switch and turned it on. More light, light is good. I think the crash and shuffling had come from the kitchen so I crept down the stairs and turned that light on, looking all around me as I went. There was still nothing, no sign of anyone or anything. Then I remembered my little research project. Ghosts and spirits couldn't touch anything, the noise had to be from the cat. A little relieved I went to go find Mr Muffin to confirm it. I crept into the kitchen and there Mr Muffin was, sitting on the floor eating cornflakes from the box that had fallen off the bench and onto the floor, spilling it's contents.

“You cheeky cat,” I whispered hissed at him and he looked up at me, licking his lips. I laughed a little and turned to go back to my room when I froze. The ghost/spirit/hallucination was standing in the hall behind me leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. He really was quite attractive.

“Hunting killer cats?” the guy asked, smirking while his eyes landed on the bat I had raised in my hands. I looked at it and then back at the guy.

“Something like that,” I replied. I wanted to sound brave but my voice wavered and cracked. The guy laughed and began walking towards. Me, I walked backwards and cornflakes crunched under my feet. Mr Muffin went running off into the living room.

“Your a very amusing guy” the thing chuckled, continuing towards me. I backed into the kitchen bench, no where to go. SHIT!

“What's your name?” I asked. Maybe if I had a name it would help my search.

“Zain,” the guy said, looking away at the clock, boredom obvious on his face. He looked back to me, “I already know who you are.” Zain grinned then. I gulped.

“Who am I?” I asked him, trying to sound like I didn't believe a thing he said and failing.

“You're Benjamin Warner, the most popular boy in school who thinks he's hot shit when really he's a conceited bastard,” Zain sneered, then laughed. I gapped at him. I was not conceited. Okay maybe a little.

“Why are you haunting me?” I demanded of him. He laughed.

“Because I'm your worst nightmare,” Zain chuckled.

“Ben?” Matt called from the stairs.

“Down here,” I called back. I looked to where Zain had... he was gone! I looked around me. Dammit!

“Everything okay?” Matt asked, I heard him coming down the stairs. I went and met him at the bottom.

“Yeah... you were right, it was the cat. He knocked over the box of cornflakes.

“Told you,” Matt grinned, putting his hands on his hips. I could feel him looking at me as I continued looking around. “You okay? You're really pale. Did something happen?”

So I told him about my little encounter and we went right back up to his room and turned on his laptop.

“He said 'in school' like he went to the same school as us?” Matt asked me. I nodded and Matt went onto the school website. He worked his magic and came up with a list of students.

“Zain? How would you spell that?” Matt asked, and then typed something in anyway. No names appeared in the search.

“Maybe he's an ex student? Like maybe he died while attending a while ago and it's been forgotten about?” I offered, not really convinced. Matt did some more typing but with no results.

We both gave up after half an hour and turned the computer off, crawling back into bed.

“We'll check on a school computer tomorrow,” Matt yawned and rolled over, going straight to sleep. I had no chance of sleep now.
