Parker's POV
It hurts. It hurts so fucking much.
It's been a month since Luke and Nick came out to the family- and only the family. Outside our house and Nick's house, they were as normal as two friends could be.
Exchanging jokes and banter as two friends would. Always at least a foot apart when standing next to each other.
They had it mastered- the act that is. I would assume so after having to do it for two years straight in public.
But at home, at home it was like they were on a fucking honeymoon. There was not a moment where you would see them apart at home.
There was never a moment in either of those god damned houses where they weren't touching each other in some way.
It was like they were trying to make up for the time they weren't allowed to touch. My parents accepted him, but only because I begged them not to tell him.
I didn't want werewolves to ruin his life like they did mine.
Luke and I grew apart, slowly. I just couldn't...I couldn't be around him. I wanted him to be happy, he was my mate after all.
I was only here to please him. But it was becoming increasingly hard to be able to pretend to be happy for him.
I wanted him to be happy. I truly did- just not with Nick. He should should be happy with me god damn it!
I should be the one holding his hand and taking him on dates and making sure he has everything he needs when he's sick or when he's hurt.
I should be the one who can kiss him, no matter who's looking!
I slammed the back door loudly, after coming back from a run. I can't do this anymore! He still doesn't know anything about the real me.
He never will. But I want him to, so badly.
I bardged into the kitchen and went straight for the cabinet where my parents kept all of the alcohol. I grabbed the vodka and put it on the counter rather roughly.
Luke was staying over at Nick's again. The worst part was that I knew he felt the pull of being my mate. I could tell he felt it, but he just stayed with Nick.
I took three big gulps of it, having it burn my throat on the way down. I would have to drink a few whole bottles of this before I even became remotely drunk.
It's a good thing that my parents liked keeping quite a bit of the stuff in the house.
It was very early in the morning, around about 2:30 a.m when I heard foot steps. I could tell it was both of my parents, not that I care.
I mean, I've already had about five bottles which was enough to make me a bit drunk, but not full on smashed.
I was sitting on the floor in the corner of the kitchen when they walked in. My mother was the first to fret.
"Oh my god, Parker! What happened?" She knelt down on one knee beside me and put her hand on my shoulder.
I immediately shook her off. Even though i was still only seventeen, not even near the drinking age, they didn't care because it was harder for me to get drunk.
"What does it matter, what happened?! It doesn't! Nothing matters anymore!" My speech was slightly slurred and my arms flew around wildly, almost dropping the sixth bottle that I had.
"God damn it!" I threw the half empty bottle against the dishwasher and stood up. I need to get outta here. I began walking towards the exit of the kitchen.
My dad grabbed my upper arm tightly with his right hand. "Parker, you need to calm down. You need to go upstairs right now and figure out how you are going to tell Luke. You can't go on living like this. Not forever."
I wrenched my arm out of his grip and wiped at my eyes angrily. I was embarrassed, I never cry! This...it's just too much!
"I can't do this anymore!"
I ran towards the back door, but my father was faster what with him being the alpha and all. He grabbed me by the waist, securing my arms down next to my sides.
I struggled, but it was no use. He was stronger and he always would be, until I became the alpha. But that wasn't going to happen until I had mated with Luke.
Luke...
A sob broke out from my throat. I stopped struggling, the alcohol wearing off. I slumped against him and shut my eyes tightly when I felt my mom come over and wrap her arms around both of us.
"Parker you need to tell him. As soon as he comes home tomorrow you are going to tell him. Your father and I will leave and give you guys some space. But only tell him about werewolves. You need to give him time to get used to the idea before you tell him about being your mate."
I took in my mother's words. I suppose she's right, I can't live like this. It's too painful.
I nodded. "Okay, I'll tell him tomorrow. But I'm gonna go upstairs and get some sleep. I'll- I'll clean up the mess tomorrow."
She shook her head. "No, I'll do it."
I gave them both a hug and then stumbled up the stairs and into my room. I hope tomorrow goes well.

I woke up the next day at 3:00 p.m.
The longest have slept in a while. I sat up slowly, but as soon as I remembered what I had to do today I practically shot down the stairs.
I could tell that Luke and I were the only people in the house. He was watching TV on the couch, sitting there in all his glory.
He sat there in black skinny jeans and a band shirt that smelt horribly of Nick. I wanted to rip it off his body then burn it to shreds.
He glanced up at me and managed to create a small smile. Oh yeah. We haven't exactly been talking.
I saw his adam's apple bob as he swallowed. "Hey, Parker. How have you been?" I smiled. He was always one to be polite.
I shrugged, "I've been better. You?" I asked after sitting at least a foot away from him. He only shrugged.
I sighed. "Look, Luke, I have something to tell you. You might not believe me but I need you to be quiet until I'm done, Okay?" He nodded.
Here we go.
