"You look incredibly handsome," Nicholai whispered into Jay's ears.
"And you look very sexy," Jay replied with an outburst of confidence. He smiled innocently at Nicholai as they continued to walk into the hall. Jay's parents were at the entrance, greeting everybody.
Once their eyes landed on Jay, he gulped. "Be strong," Nicholai whispered into Jay's ears. Jay nodded his head and made sure his smile was on his face. He was there for Celia, not for them.
"Jay," they both greeted with a strict face and a small nod.
"Mother, father. This is Nicholai, my boyfriend." Their eyes widened in horror, his mother gasping as if she had found out he had killed someone.
"Boyfriend? Oh, Jay, how could you have dishonoured us like this?" Jay frowned at his father's question.
"I am here for Celia, not for you both to criticise my life decisions." With that, Jay walked away from his parents with Nicholai in tow. Jay and Nicholai sat down as they waited for the ceremony to begin.
They sat away from Jay's parents, who were right at the front row. Jay should have been there but from the looks of it, they certainly didn't want him there.
Everyone stood when Celia came walking down the aisle. Celia was mad at their father and refused to let him walk her down the aisle. She also hated the fact that it was as if she was an object, being passed from one man to another. That's what she hated about the tradition of a father walking his daughter down the aisle.
Celia looked beautiful in her princess wedding dress. It was very puffy but not as puffy as their mother's wedding dress. It was a traditional white dress with lots of gems on it.
Celia spotted Jay as she walked down the aisle. She smiled and waved at Nicholai and Jay. Jay waved back, incredibly proud of his sister. She looked incredible and he was excited to see her get married. After all, it was all she talked about when they were kids.
Celia and Austin tied the knot, everyone cheering and celebrating. Jay still felt immensely proud of his sister.
The way she spoke about her wedding when they were younger, it seemed as if it had gone perfectly to plan.
"You know, one day we'll be getting married," Nicholai said, pecking Jay on the lips, "and I can't wait."
"I can't wait either. Although, it feels like we will just be wearing suits and it's not as special as a wedding dress. You know what I look like in a suit and there won't really be any surprise on the wedding day." Jay frowned at his own thought. "How can we make it more special? If that were possible?"
"I know how," Nicholai said, a mischievous glint in his eye. "We can get married in our birthday suits."
"Nicholai!" Jay playfully slapped him on the chest and shook his head. However, he decided to fool Nicholai and see what his reaction would be if he agreed. "Well, it's not a bad idea. We could do that actually. Everyone watching us getting married whilst being naked. You know, everyone staring at us. I think it's great."
Jay looked up and found Nicholai narrowing his eyes at Jay. "No."
"Aw, why not? You were up for it! I think it'll be great and unique, except you've already seen me naked and I've already seen you — and you look really hot and sexy, by the way — but I think–"
"Stop," Nicholai lowly growled. "I don't want anyone else seing you naked beside me." With that, Nicholai put a possessive arm around Jay.
The reception was magnificent, certainly one fit for a Princess. Celia wandered around with Austin at her side. They were very happy and anyone could see that.
Jay, however, had his gaze and attention focused on Nicholai who was busy chatting with other people.
Nicholai was certainly having a good time and laughing. He loomed carefree and so happy. Although when his eyes landed on Jay, he was even happier than ever — if that were possible.
He excused himself from the people he was talking to and made his way over to Jay, pulling him in for a kiss. "I love you, BlueJay."
Jay's heart fluttered and he blushed, hiding his face in Nicholai's chest. "I love you too," he mumbled, his voice muffled. "You make me blush a lot," he added on, wrapping his arms around Nicholai, "and you make me feel safe and happy."
Nicholai's heart warmed at Jay's words. In his past relationships, he had never felt such a way as he does towards Jay. And his ex partners had never felt the way Jay feels for him. It was warming his heart and for once, he felt relieved and over the moon with happiness.
"I think I've found my happy ending," Nicholai replied, fully wrapping his arms around Jay. "I've never been so happy before and, as cliché as it sounds, you make me complete. You make me whole."
"You know," Jay said, looking up, "I heard how people occasionally spoke about you. It was like they were terrified of you and you were, well, beastly. They're so wrong. You're a huge softie and I love you."
"Hold on a second. I am only a softie for you, but I can be quite hard for you too." Jay's eyes widened and again, he blushed. "I love making you blush."
"I love making you cu– nevermind," he squeaked. "Let's go dance!" And for the most part of the reception, the two danced as if they were the only ones in the palace.
People were in awe at how happy they looked and even Jay's parents softened slightly. Celia was ecstatic and even though it was her wedding day, she loved that all eyes were on her brother.
It was the best present she could have asked for; people accepting her brother.
Nicholai gazed down at Jay. Jay was his world and he knew he had to marry him. It was only a matter of when.
However, Jay's eyes were on everyone else watching the and he became increasingly self conscious. "Nicholai," he whispered.
"Yes, Princey?"
"They're all staring. I don't like it."
"It's okay. Do you want to say goodbye to Celia and head home?" Jay nodded his head. "Good, I want you all to myself."
"Yeah, and I want you all to myself too," Jay grinned.
"Princey, you're getting very confident and I'm loving it. Keep it up."
"What do I get for being more confident?"
"How about I reward you when we get home?" Nicholai winked at Jay, making Jay blush and grin at the same time. "Come on, let's go say goodbye."
"Okay."
