                  Reuben POV~

Present time, 9:00 (a.m.). On a Friday, and what activity I’m I doing? Well, I’m sitting in my seat in my first period class. Mood: bored and tired.

Dylan is trying to get my attention, while Carson is glaring at him and wishing for his death, well, this is going to be an interesting day.

I have six months until I’m done with grade eleven. The time is going by fast, but I still want it to move forward more. The faster time flies, the faster I can get away from Carson’s drama. But I still have this feeling that he won’t ever leave me alone.

The way Carson has been acting lately is getting strange and irritating. It’s not like I watch him, when he’s not watching me. Well, to tell the truth I do, only because if I don’t, I won’t be able to make a plan or something. So I can, prevent getting closer to him.

~Ring! ~ End of first period ring,

“Rubs! RUBS!” Lizzie hollers and shouts, making everyone think she’s a mad woman.

I slow down so she can catch up to me. I’m just going to my second period anyways.

“Hey! Are you going to the basketball game?” she questions with a thrill.

“Do I ever Lizzie?” I answer with a question.

“Well mister, you’re going. I think it’s a great opportunity to make friends and we’ll have time to hang out!” she proclaimed.

“You know Lizzie even if I go to the stupid basketball game. I won’t make any friends.” I countered.

“Oh Rubs, you’re just making excuses, but I have a feeling you’ll be going anyways, somehow.” She stated certainly.

“Hey, what’s that supposed to me?” I ask in surprise and worry.

She was already gone, so I just gave up and entered in my second period class were Lizzie is also.

I sat next to Dylan and greeted him. He looked at me and smiled, but his eyes had a faraway look. It’s like he was in a different place. Hmm… strange.

10 minutes already gone by, but there was an announcement that surprised everyone. But that surprisement quickly went away.

The announcement in the speaker was simply,

“Reuben King please visit the school president's office, thank you.” It was a woman’s voice.

Well, that was random. I look at Lizzie and Dylan, they both have puzzled expressions on their face.

I shrug, I bet that it’s not that big of a deal anyways. So, I walked slowly, took my time, when I finally got there I open the door and instantly I see Carson sitting in a big comfortable black leather chair.

“Come Ruby, and make sure you close the door. Also, you better not try to run away. That look you have right now tells me exactly what you are going to do.” Carson announces.

Whatever, there’s not point of running away anyways. So I sit down on one of the two chairs planted right in front of his huge mahogany desk.

Carson sighs while crossing his superior arms and questions me saying,

“Ruby, do you know why you are here?”

I shake my head frantically. Not even looking at him anymore, the floor looks really intriguing to me all of a sudden.

I didn’t know that Carson was the school president. Is he that powerful in this school? I heard that his dad practically owns this school.

“Ruby, I would appreciate it if you look at me when I’m speaking to you, ” he commands in a deep threatening tone.

It took a while, but I finally look at him, but I was gazing at the hair on his head.

“Look at my eyes Ruby.” Carson demands calmly.

I do, but I at that time I was looking at him and he seems actually human, and not a monster I thought he really was. Carson has green/blue or even both color eyes, that seem to look straight to my soul. I shivered and sweat bullets.

“So, It’s been two weeks since that incident. And we haven’t made up even once. I believe it’s about time that we move on. I think our relationship will grow stronger. You shouldn’t do anything full of rubbish, especially if it ruins what we have.” He reasoned.

Now I’m starting to talk!

“First of all, we’re not in a relationship, whatsoever. Second of all, I’m moving on, even my bruises have healed, but doesn’t mean I’ll move on with you. And last, but not least, you’re full of rubbish because I’m pretty sure you can have anybody you want, but you keep just pestering me.” I complain loudly.

He sighs.”Calm down, Ruby. You know that hurt my feelings.” He pouts, but he’s not giving off no hint of his feelings being crushed at all.

He continues. “You know you entered in this school because of your scholarship, right?”

Yes, I know I’m super smart. Someone like you doesn’t need to talk about it.

“Well, that can be easily fixed, you know?” he implies.

“Wait! You wouldn’t!” I say in alarm.

“You must not know me Ruby, but imagine all those debts your mother will suffer from. And what will your future be like if you get kicked out of this school. You’re not working and I can easily make your life miserable.”

“You’re evil!” I hissed and snarled.

“I wouldn’t say I'm evil, but cunning and clever.” He says while smirking devilishly.

“What do you want from me?” I ask, so close to tears.

“Now, I just want you to realize that you need me. And I’ll do anything to make you understand that.” He vowed.

“You’re crazy! Your threatening or blackmailing will not make me your little pet. I’m not like the others you play with, I won’t ever fall for whatever you have in that sick head of yours. I don’t care for you even a little and….” I didn’t finish my sentence, because the look Carson was giving me told me I should shut up.

He clears his throat and says,"Anyways, you do understand the postion your in right? I didn’t go want to go this far, but I don’t know Ruby your different.”

“Are you finished?” I ask, close to the edge of going hysterical.

“I want you to stay away from Dylan Stone.” He demands with authority.

“Wait! At least let me keep my friend. At least give me that.” I quavered in shock.

“Look, Ruby I just can’t and don’t give me that expression, it won’t work for me this time. I’m dead serious.” He then sighed and yawn.

“Is this some kind of sick joke? Just tell me a reason why I can’t talk to Dylan?” I ask calmly.

“Because you’re mine. And I don’t know what shit he’s trying to pull, but it's getting to me and he knows that. Anyways, just listen to what I say.” He ordered.

“FINE.” I decided, but I already know I’m not going to listen to him anyways.

“I’m warning you, stay away from him. Even if I see you smile at him, I’ll be very unhappy.” He barked dangerously.

“Okay. Okay.” I say frantically trying to calm him down.

He gets up from his mighty lair, and walks me to the door and says,

“I’ll like to see you at my basketball game after school, Ruby.” It’s more like an order than a wish. So I nod and make sure I look at him.

He smiles, while looking down at me. I hate when he does that! Just because he’s really tall!

I was about to leave, I bet it’s already lunch time already. I spent a long time in his office than I thought.

Carson blocks my way and says, “Give me a kiss goodbye Ruby.” And grinning all the way to his ears.

I deeply frown. He can’t be serious right!? I look at him, and he is waiting.

I quickly give him a peck on his cheek, but he grabs my bicep upwards so he can kiss me on my lips.

I try to push him off, but he already has his tongue roaming inside my mouth. When he finishes his assault, he says goodbye, and slaps my butt. I respond by yelping in alarm.

Ugh! This is so humiliating. I feel like a…. Slut. I feel so dirty, that it’s hard not to throw up on the floor.
