Klaus drove out of the woods and back on the road, driving the opposite direction they were heading towards the first time. The security guards must have continued along that road, concluding they would want to exit the town, and that was exactly why the hero did the opposite. He knew they would figure out eventually, well... He knew Josh would figure out eventually, but at least they gained some time by inducing the guards in error.
Looking in the rear view mirror, the hero sighed. Venom was asleep on the backseat, hair ruffled, only shoulders and collarbone exposed, as well as his kilometric legs. The sight brought back mental images of what happened in the woods, and the German screams of pleasure echoed in Klaus's mind.
At the thought, the hero felt his abdomen contract as horny butterflies filled his stomach. He kept his eyes on the road, hand gripping the steering wheel violently. With a grunt, he stopped at a gas station, unable to focus on driving anymore.
He let his head his the wheel, sighing. He had no idea what he was doing. It all happened so fast... One day he felt like slamming the villain's head against a wall, and the next day he felt like having mad sex with him for the rest of their lives. And seeing as they were both immortal, it was saying something. One kiss on a roof was all it took for Venom to wrap his fingers around the hero...
Klaus opened the door of the car, stepping out of it before closing it gently, to not wake the villain up. After pondering for a while, he decided to lock it. Call it trust issues. Then, Klaus walked towards the shop of the gas station, determined to buy something to eat that would offer him energy. The villain sure dried of it him back in the woods...
A few minutes later, he stood in the sweets rayon. The shop basket he was loosely holding was occupied by energy drinks and chocolate bars. The hero was standing there, deep in thought as he eyed a big box of liquor filled chocolate. He couldn't even believe he was considering buying it for Venom.
He had no idea how much time passed by him as he stood there, but he was brought back to his senses the moment a female worker cleared her throat beside him.
"Sir, may I help you? You've been standing here for a while now." she giggled, eyes widening when Klaus turned his head towards her. The hero knew that expression. The way their faces always lightened in realisation at seeing him...
"Oh, you're Klaus! The Hero! Oh my God this is so cool! This has got to be the most interesting thing to have ever happened in my pathetic job." she laughed, eyes moving to the object of the hero's attention. "You should buy it. I'm sure your significant other would appreciate it!"
"You're just saying that to do your job..." Klaus murmured, his eyes darting out the window to check the car.
"Well, yeah, but I really think you should buy it. I mean... It's cliché things like these that never cease to keep a relationship up." the girl spoke brightly, grabbing the chocolate and holding it expectantly. With a sigh, Klaus grabbed it and threw it in the basket.
"You have a way with words. Why waste that talent with a job like this?" he casually asked.
The girl looked behind her shoulder at the counter, where a young, tall boy stood, arranging different products in place. The hero felt her heartbeat increase and chuckled, ruffling her hair affectionately before going towards the counter.
Klaus closed the door of the car after him before sitting in silence for a moment. With a sigh, he turned around and took in the sight of the sleeping villain, a small smile making its way on his lips. He leaned towards him, placing the chocolate box under the arm resting on the seat, before turning around and starting the car.
Josh sipped from his coffee as he stood at his usual spot in front of the wall sized window, gazing at the town thoughtfully. He looked at the old, tall buildings casting shadows over the small people roaming around with umbrellas in their hands, predicting the approaching rain. It was a sight him and the hero would always watch from that spot as they sipped from their coffees casually.
The detective knew his friend better than to tell he left the city.
With that thought in mind, he turned around and gestured the policemen to follow him, destination being Venom's house. He knew the chances of them being there were low, but there was always the possibility of Klaus applying reverse psychology.
And so, half an hour late, the villain's house was filled with policemen. Josh wasn't surprised to find no sight of them, but they kept searching for anything that could possibly give them a clue. It was unlikely to find anything, seeing as Venom didn't return home since the exposition, but Josh wanted to look around in order to get to know him better, the way he did with every wanted person.
Eventually, him and two cops entered the attic, where a dreadful sight greeted them. Dead spiders caged in jars were lined on a long, dusty table. They weren't your typical home spiders, they all belonged to different species, and their proportions were no ordinary.
"Dear God, that man is nuts!" one of the cops, Sara, murmured as she hid behind the other cop.
"We are very much aware of that, but he has yet to accept it." replied Josh, eyeing a dead Hobo Spider lying on the table. It had been dissected. "Well, the only information we managed to get from here is that his mental condition extends more than to just 'suicidal'. He's straight up insane, and I don't know how he manipulated the therapist into letting him go the first time he was released." he murmured. "But he just did it again."
Turning around, he exited the room and took his cell phone out while he walked down the stairs. "Yes, I would like to hear about Daniel's, the therapist, condition. I want to talk to him as soon as he's fully recovered." he spoke to the doctor on the line, freezing on the last stairs to the ground floor as he heard a policeman.
"Sir... do not move."
Ending the call, he slowly turned his head towards the cops, the phone still pressed against his ear. They all eyed him shocked, like a row of statues. It wasn't until he felt something tickle his neck that Josh slightly panicked. A delicate touch, in a pace of waltz escalated up his skin. He gulped hesitantly, eyes widening as he felt the movement stop.
"There might or mightn't be a Black Widow Spider on your neck, sir..." someone from the crowd spoke hesitantly. Josh couldn't put his finger on who talked, because his senses had long since vanished, every inch of his body focused on the creature on his neck.
"God damn it, Venom..." he murmured as a sharp pain stung him, before his vision blurred.
Klaus stopped the car in front of a small building with 3 floors and 8 apartments. They were in a secluded part of the city, one of those places that screamed 'STAY AWAY' from behind every shadowed corner of the alleys that hid things which weren't hidden under darkness for no reason.
Considering the poor conditions one of the apartments offered, Klaus managed to pay it on the spot, the woman that took his money then disappearing in her own flat faster than he got the chance to ask about the monthly rent.
The hero walked out the building, the keys of the new apartment in hand, and he approached the car where he knew the villain to be still asleep. Only he wasn't...
The opened chocolate box was placed on the roof of the car, on which Venom placed an arm that supported his head. He was still only wearing his untied straitjacket, sleeves hanging randomly where ever they managed. His back was arched as he leaned on the car, hips raised in a suggestive posture.
"The idea of coming here was to be as discrete as possible, attention is the least thing we want. Your half-nudity begs to differ." the hero scolded, shooting glares vibrating in hatred towards the glancing tattooed freaks wondering around.
"Chocolate." murmured Venom with a teasing grin. "You bought me chocolate." he concluded, straightening up to limp towards the hero. Before Klaus managed to explain himself, the villain wrapped his arms around his neck and legs around his waist, dominating his mouth eagerly.
The hero slammed the door of the car closed, fingers blindly pressing the button on his key to lock the car, and Venom grabbed the box of chocolate just as Klaus started walking backwards towards the entrance of the building, more focused on the make out than on his pace.
As they entered, he forgot to stop walking and hit the wall of the corridor, taking advantage of the support to deepen the kiss for a few minutes, before continuing down the corridor and up the stairs. After much stumbling and unbalance they managed to reach the second floor, where they slammed the door open to enter the apartment.
After spotting the bed, Klaus let themselves fall on it before pulling back from the kiss. Venom rolled off him and struggled to gain his breath, and so did Klaus. Turning his head towards the villain, the hero spoke.
"Look, we're... not doing anything now." he said, to which Venom offered a confused frown. "You were limping." he clarified, taking the box of chocolate and opening it, before placing it between them. He then leaned on his side, picking one of the liquor filled sweets.
"But we did the whole process of stumbling all the way to the bed in a hurry, before our groins would explode, and now you let me down?" laughed Venom. "That's called teasing."
Klaus brought the sweet above the villain before breaking it in half, letting the liquor leak in Venom's opened mouth. He then ate the emptied chocolate and picked another one up.
"Can you eat humans food?" Klaus asked curiously.
"No. I also sparkle in the sun and am afraid of garlic, Klaus." Venom replied sarcastically. "Of course I can eat humans food! But why choose humans food when I can eat the humans themselves?" Venom explained before gulping down another portion of alcohol the hero offered him.
After drinking respectively eating for a while, Venom came across a question nagging him since he first heard of the hero.
"How come your name is German, but your accent British?" he asked, eyeing Klaus intrigued.
"Well, that's a long story." he murmured in response, before eating an alcohol-emptied chocolate.
"Klaus, we are immortal, we have all the time in the world. Now tell me."
With a sigh, the hero nodded, eyes darting around the one room apartment, which looked as if about to crash down any moment. He raised his fingers absent-mindedly, biting the already short nails.
"Well, my mother and father were British. Father left one day, and mother then married a German, that's when the Swartz name happened. After she died, this step-father went all narcissistic on me and decided to rise me to his German expectations. He changed my first name into Klaus, he only spoke to me in German, he tried punching the accent into me, he would tie my left hand to my back to force me being right-handed and... well..." he sighed.
"He failed in most cases. It was too late for my accent to change, my right hand didn't do anything properly, I was an overall failure to him. And who else could he release his anger on other than me..."
Venom turned on his side. Looking at the hero, he saw the empty expression he'd always meet in the mirror, but craved on Klaus's face instead. It didn't quite fit him...
"I take it you understand German? Well this is embarrassing, I hoped you wouldn't be able to translate what I was moaning back then in the car." the villain joked, trying to enlighten the mood. It seemed to work as he saw the hero's expression turn amused.
"Well it doesn't take classes to understand 'Oh Gott, scheiße, schneller'-"
"Oh shut up!" interrupted Venom, laughing. The sound of it was unfamiliar to Klaus's ears. It was not only the idea of hearing it from the villain, but it just sounded... different from laughter. He could tell the villain didn't get to practice it much.
"So now that we got my name out of the way, what's up with yours?" asked Klaus, throwing the empty chocolate box on the ground before wrapping his arms around Venom, who noticeably tensed up. "It's all right if it's something personal."
"No, it would be only fair to tell you." the villain murmured, making himself comfortable in the embrace.
"Well, you see... Us 'vampires', as you people like to call us, don't all have the ability to turn people- the way you see in movies. If every vampire could turn others, the world would be dominated by us, of course, it would be a chain reaction."
"The ability of turning people is given by a substance, a poison, a venom which is genetically transmitted. But, as many other genes, it passes many generations, so it's rare for a vampire to get it. And when one does get it, their mother is bound to die, seeing as in the 9 months she's pregnant, the substance is inside the baby she carries- therefore affecting her body as well. If she manages to survive through the months, she's sure to die while giving birth."
"And as you might of guessed, I was one to receive the gene. My father decided to remind me of it every day, of how I killed her, and so he named me Venom."
Klaus ran a hand through the villain's hair, letting everything he heard sink in. "I take it you didn't get along well..."
"Oh, he liked me all right. He liked me too much. Way too much." Venom spoke, his voice shaky, eyes fixed on the hero's smooth, inviting neck. "He was the one to have taught me piano, you see." he continued, blinking back tears after he gulped. He then scoffed. "The problem is, whether I was doing well or not, my reward was the same as the punishment."
Klaus pinned his head against his chest, kissing the top of his head. "I'm so sorry, Venom, I really am."
"Why would-"
"I'm a sex craving animal. I saw the bruises on your legs yet I ignored them. And I was rough and stupid and I apologize. I won't blame it on my bipolarity, I was fully aware of what I was doing and I'm disgusted at myself." the hero spoke sincerely, burying his head in the other man's shoulder.
"Klaus, you're being adorably ridiculous. Don't you dare pity me, I'm not a hopeless young female with daddy issues, you know." Venom joked, wiping his eyes to replace the tears with a smile.
"You seem to be into that, though. The female idea, I mean." Venom accused teasingly, to which the hero blinked confused. "You only expose my long slender neck and petite shoulders, my delicate legs and you let the rest of my torso covered. Should I get a sex change, perhaps?"
Klaus gaped, at lost of words. "What! That's- no! The collarbone is a turn on, and yours happens to be very defined and inviting." he clarified, proudly eyeing the numerous hickeys on his skin. "And I kept your torso covered because you look adorable in oversized clothes." he justified himself in a hurry, scoffing.
"So if I were to cut my hair and grow a beard and muscles, would you still love me?" Venom asked brightly, the smile on his face slowly fading as the silence stretched.
"Love?" repeated Klaus uncertain, eyes widening as the villain's face blanked in realisation.
"No." Venom replied, seemingly unfazed, sitting up. "Don't be silly, I was joking around."
Klaus sat up himself, eyes fixed on the vampire's back, perfectly straight in his rigidness. He traced his fingers up his spine, reaching to the back of his head which he then scratched, chuckling when he felt him relax.
"You really are a kitten..." he murmured, smiling affectionately. "My kitten. And to answer your question, I would still love you."
Venom turned his head quickly, hazel eyes searching the hero's. They didn't look shocked or pleased or enlightened... They looked confused. "You mean that?" he asked plainly, to which the hero nodded. "That's... good, I suppose." he murmured, deeply flattered.
Klaus pecked his cheek reassuringly, figuring he must have never received such a confession before. "This is the part where you say it back." he whispered in his ear, hand still in his hair.
Venom pulled back gently, eyes fixed on the dirty but comfortable mattress underneath them. His fingers trailed the fading model on it, hidden under dust and oldness. Clearing his throat, his lips parted, letting his tongue lick their chapped surface.
"I..." he tried, shaking his head nervously. "Ich liebe dich." he eventually managed, turning his head away from the hero, who started laughing brightly as he hugged him. "Shut up. Now what." he murmured grumpily, eyes widening as the hero started taking off the loosely hanging straitjacket.
"Now we make love for the first time. With your torso fully exposed this time, my manly man of a boyfriend."
